- Sometimes a car comes along that's just an absolute dream drive. You know the kind of car that was on the wall, on the posters. Now usually they say don't meet your heroes... but what if my hero suddenly got a killer modern upgrade... This might be one of my favourite motoring moments ever!

Beautiful car, beautiful engine sound. I've never seen the original 8 series in real life. I didn't think we got them in SA. But I can honestly say its one of the best looking BMW's I've ever seen and this one is right at top of that list in my opinion. I wish I had the money to buy this car. Thanks Performance With Page.

I had a -92 850CI 20 years ago and would def not call it a terrible drive with the V12... 😍😍😍 sure much less power compared to a modern engine but impressive for its time...

Drive the car like a manual and let off the gas on up shifts. Also, shifts are slow at low speeds but at high engine speeds the gear box comes into its own. Looking after the car is driving it as it was intended just don’t abuse it. People seem to not know the difference. Smaller wheels and fatter tires similar to the stock 850CSI wheels would set the whole car off. Awesome project

A resto modded E31 is perfect as the bodystyle still looks modern with the right wheels and stance... It def deserves an engine with 500-600hp...

6-series dash, door cards and seats in an 8-series? Isn't that a downgrade?! I own an e64 650i Sport but the interior (especially the dash) is much better in the 8-series. We'll and truly messed this up!
