Bless the lady who told him he should go to the hospital.
Yes! Thought the same thing....
Angels do exist and she was surely one; Steve's calm manner in explaining his concerns helped her to understand the immediate need.
Last month I was diagnosed with bowel cancer which has spread to my liver. The tumour was surgically removed from my intestines leaving me with an ileostomy and next month I start chemotherapy in the hope that it will shrink the liver tumours to a controllable size, meaning they don’t claim to be able to cure me but it might extend my life a bit. They say stage 4 cancer means I have 11% chance of living for 5 years. I’m 45yo and a father so have many reasons to fight for.
Be well Jonsey 🖖🏻❤️
Sorry to hear your problem get well and god bless,
Hope you're doing well sir
Best of luck with everything
Wishing you well too.
Hoping it’s going ok still fella. 👍🏼
God bless you Jonesy! I was running on half an artery for a lot of my adult life. Luckily it was diagnosed, a generic condition I later found out. All sorted now, a major op was involved but eight weeks later I was gigging again! Keep rocking!
get well Jones, all the best
Thanks for the update Steve. You have been missed but of course the most important thing is your health and happiness. Your doctor seems like a good guy.
Glad your still with us Jonesey...Merry Christmas
It hits you hard like nothing else when you are told it’s your heart. 16 yrs ago I was told I’d got cardiomyopathy - dilated was admitted to hospital and have been on medication since. I was 35 at the time.My heart at the time was working at 15% but now it’s working better but not 100%.
Steve if you see this God bless you and look after your self love from Maxine from Birmingham England❤️
All the best Mr Jones....
My dad is the biggest fan of jonesy ever, he is not doing very well in the last couple of months though..
He always says; íf jonesy's stickin' around i'm not leaving either.
Much love for both of the dudes, they taught me the ways of rock & roll
merry christmas Jonesy
I can't imagine a world with out Jonesy.
@nasser wiz Really, the only two that look and seem really healthy are Glen and Paul and they are living in their homeland of England. Maybe John and Steve should have stayed in England. Maybe too much of everything here in the US leads to poor health for them.
James Gretsch
John Lydon was very sick as a child. He’s been in less than perfect health his whole life and, sad to say for all of us, the march of time makes things worse.
But many of us could lose weight and be more physically active.
written12 Very true. He had meningitis as a kid and he said it took a long time to recover. I suppose he still suffers from it in some ways. He seems like a pretty good guy too. I mean from what I’ve seen of him. I of course never knew him in person.
I love jonesy, he’s real
Rock and roll life is not easy on the body
I also have had 3 ablations on my heart last summer. Now I’m back to running again ✊
Hats off to health care workers everywhere - Merry Christmas Mr. Jones !
Missed you Jonesy!!👍🎸🎄🎄😍😍😍
Happy that you are back and doing better Jonesy! Plaque buildup in the arteries happens to many of us younger and older. It s a good thing you didn't ignore the symptoms!
I have watched countless interviews & footage of all my music heroes over the years & Jonesy has always been the most honest & straight up.
I hope he recovers well, hes a part of rock history
God Bless Jonesy , take care of yourself.
Been worried about and wondering where's Jonesy's been
Take it easy Jonesy, we've missed you. This hits home, just about a year ago one of my best friends died at work from a heart attack, he didn't heed the warning signs he had a couple of weeks before. Didn't want to make a fuss or be off work, too late now. Think about him every day.
Glad you got yourself fixed up, love the stories and the tunes on Jones's jukebox
Delighted you’re getting back to normal Jonesy. God bless and stay well.
I love Jonesy! His book is AMAZING! I encourage all fans to read it. He seems to be a really good man. I hope he gets back to 100% soon!
So glad Jonesy's going to live was worried and wondering why he hasn't done any shows in the last few months please stay well hugs and much love💗💖
First time I've seen a Cardiologist discussing heart health, sitting next to an Orange head....
Now that's a sentence that needs context!
Right?;)

Hey Doc: Thank You for taking care of our man Jonesey!!✌😎💕
Rock On man!
Very brave of Jonesy to explain what he'd been through. I hope you make a very fast and easy recovery. Hats off to doctors and nurses everywhere who do such good jobs and work very long hours
I like Steve. He’s straight up. He’s a great guitarist, one of the best from the punk era. Take care.
Time to start moving on regular basis. Stick around, the world needs ya.
Wishing you a speedy but steady recovery mate! So glad your still with us! Keeping rocking!
Welcome back Jonesy. Merry Christmas! 🎅🏻🎸🎄
Steve Jones is one of the most underrated guitarists ever - fact.
Yeah especially for only playing 3 chords
Just because you put " fact " doesn't make it a fact. He isn't, not by a long way. Everyone says the same about their favourite guitarist.
@@CB-xr1eg So WHO IS the most underrated guitarist then, Clive Binman? - He isn't my "favourite guitarist", you tosser. The "fact" is that he is underrated. FACT.
@@Skin-ve2tt Oh look how the clever boy changed my name round. You must be veryintelligent.
If you care to read properly, I didn't say he was your favourite guitarist. I said everyone says the same thing you said. As for who is the most underrated, that's not for me to say.
I could name one who doesn't get enough credit for his playing, and that's Mark Knopfler ex Dire Straits. but I'm sure there are several more who don't get the credit they deserve.
So, why the name calling and the anger? Is it really necessary in a discussion about guitar players?
@@CB-xr1eg FFS. I bet you're a right laugh in the pub.
Respect to this Doctor...He did a great job of explaining the situation without being condescending. And Jonesy...speedy recovery !!!
Steve I’m so glad you are back and feeling better. You are an inspiration on many levels and a great human being. Please take care of yourself, you are too good to lose( the world still needs you)
Awww...Cheers Jonesy! So happy you are on the mend and doing a little bit better each and every day! 💝
Love ya Jonesy. So you hit a speed bump. Handled it. We need you back as soon as you're ready. All the best for the new year sir! Cheers
Look after yourself, Jonesey and best wishes.
So glad you're still with us Jonsey. Best wishes from Finland 🤘
So glad to hear you're on the mend. Take good care of yourself bro. A true rock n rolla!!
We love you Steve - thanks for all your good work
Glad to hear your Better Jonesy . Merry Christmas! Keep you show going we listen to you from New York.
Jeez, this is exactly what happened to me 5 years ago.
3 valves. 2 of them totally blocked, the 3rd 90% blocked.
The 3rd valve they couldn't fix but they put 2 stents in
the 100% blocked ones. Not fun. The 2nd stent was an
excruciating process. They did the first one right away
but I had to spend a week in hospital waiting for the
2nd one. I'm lucky to be alive. Drove myself to the hospital
just like Steve. Never affected my face though but everything
else, I've been there. Glad you caught it in time. I thought
KLOS was phasing you out with this one day thing and
since you're the only good thing left on so called classic rock
radio I was sad to see you go out like that. You're one of
the greats, Steve. The Pistols and The Professionals were
keepers. You're a keeper. Keep on keeping on. Okay, I'm out
of silly cliches now.
You got lucky! i had a full massive heart attack last April (2019), the attack actually began at 7am in the morning while i was at work, yet i worked a full 11 hour shift with heavy machinery not realizing what had happened. I was very lucky to survive the day, but an hour after i got home the big one hit, luckily i had family there to call 911, the ambulance arrived within 3 minutes, i passed out and was without vital signs for close to 2 minutes in the ambulance while they raced me to the hospital. They had to give me an adrenaline shot (ala pulp fiction) to restart my heart. I ended up having a triple bypass 2 weeks later. Spent 2 weeks in hosptial and then another 6 weeks off work recovering. It's been 11 months and i'm doing fine now, but that was a big wakeup call. I had the exact same symptons that Jonesy talks about in this interview, the sharp pains in the chest etc.. had i had an electrocardiogram done earlier they would have seen the blockage and operated before i had the attack, i was lucky to survive.
The Real Guitar Hero in my eyes..And the only person in music history that made me want to play guitar..which i did...took awhile but i now know all the pistols tunes..loved all the punk bands when younger still do..ill never meet steve,..so ill say it here.to me your like a family member i never see..only on tv and radio.which i listen to on a app in uk...Believe this, You are legend to me and many others..you are down to earth funny and have me laughing.my head off listening to you on the radio...and instagram...hope you stay well and carry on playing in the future..life for me woudnt be the same without steve jones...take care steve from gary in uk...🎸🎸🎸🎸

You're a lucky man......good on ya for bringing light to the subject by having this gentleman on. Take heed folks....keep up your usual work sir....you are a light to a lot of people....better health to you sir
Health n good vibes ur way mr jonesy!
Keep Rocking Steve. We wish you a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year, jingle jangle all the way!
Good to see you back man
Hope You Slow Down Take it Easy Steve it's as The Saying Goes One Step At A Time ,,Best Wishes
I'm so glad to hear you acted quick and was saw to early on. All that speed, a long time ago, must have made an impact. I guess it all catches up with one, eventually. Cheers that Steve was literally saved. I couldn't bear another Hero leaving this world.
The speed he took 40 years ago wouldn't make any difference to his health now.... he is over-weight and that's what causes stress on the heart..... think How many obeise people die early who have never touched drugs....
Yeah that has nothing to do with his speed use. Maybe his coke use in the '80s, but the real reason is that he's morbidly obese
@@lptomtom Definitely. I'm always amazed when I see people that big actually walking. They all look like heart attacks about to happen. I really hope Jonesy gets that weight off him.
Thanks for posting this Jonesy. Posting this description of the sensations leading to your heart attack will probably save at least one viewer's life. God bless, and take care of yourself sir.
Steve Im glad your feeling better. Much love from Italy. Your the best and God bless
Happy to know you're still with us, Steve
Oh No!! Glad to hear he pulled through! Much love and well wishes to Steve!!!
I really hope you are well Steve and wish you all the best of health and love from England, you can get over this, I know a few people who have had the same, you will be alright, Jonesy's jukebox 95.5 KLOS. Get well man, we need you back.xx
A tip about aspirin and heart attack that might save your life: If you feel you are experiencing an attack, chew on an aspirin then swallow, as disgusting as it might taste, VERSUS swallowing it whole like you do when you have a headache. You've got to get the aspirin into your bloodstream ASAP, and swallowing the aspiring whole takes a good half-hour to get into your bloodstream. Chewing it up takes only minutes for it to take effect.
Good tip
Thanks.
Wow. Stupid me. I thought it was just a contract dispute with KLOS. Good to have you back Steve. Get well, and take care.
Glad to see you are on the mend. Take care Steve.
