And I thought the first movie was amazing, this looks absolutely incredible! The animation is as beautiful as ever, and the characters we know and love are back. And yes, they did do the meme at the end. I can't wait to see this. It's going to be movie of the year for sure.

@@iwatchanime0 Spider-Man's character, especially as of recent, has been about loss of any kind. So I wouldn't be surprised if this is a meta response to writers, to show that not every Spider-Man needs to lose to be who he is.
I also heard a theory that The Spot might be framing him, but we can only wait and see

To those who weren't familiar or asking why Spider Man 2099 appears feral and brutal,
He has retractable fangs and talons on his fingers which allows to grab onto walls, cut through hard materials and even dig. And no, he is not a vampire.
I speculate that 2099 would be antagonistic, cold and very uptight but for a good reason considering that he witnessed the events of No Way Home since he referenced it
Miguel is also from a dystopian future, so it makes since that he's cold and detatched.
Here 2 months in the future, whatd you think of it?

just a theory but, i hope they weren't telling miles that his dad had to pass away like in the game, because a spiderman must suffer loss to grow stronger. they brought up uncle ben and it was the 1st thing i thought about. it would make sense to why miles was rushing out to leave and they wouldn't let him, to save his dad. i thought the only person this version of miles was gonna lose was his uncle. i really hope it's not his dad or his mom too.
Makes me wonder if Madame Web will appear since it's pretty evident that the web of fate or something similar to it is pulling the threads of all the spider-folk where they must suffer immense losses in their lives in order to become true superheroes and Spider-Man 2099 clearly wants to maintain that status quo.
There are at least 2 evidence as video where his dad died first one is The mother talking to Miles meaning she is sad or depressed and 2 that scene in the second trailer
I believe in the comics he loses both his uncle and his dad
I think what's gonna happen is he's gonna save his father, and then that will have repercussions for the second movie. I think there's truth in what Miguel says, you have to let things be. But Miles ain't the type to go down without a fight. And I can see Peter being misguided in not telling Miles about this because he knows loss too. And he knows Miles has suffered already.
Hence the "this isn't what we talked about Miguel!" line and "you knew?" - that's kinda confirming they know what's going to happen to the dad. And wanted to spare Miles. But I can see the movie ending with the Spiders all having this rift between them, and Spot being setup for the big bad of part 2; Miles will have to make a sacrifice and we're not gonna be ready for what he chooses emotionally. Even if we all know the father has to go.
Not to mention that Miles already lost his Uncle Aaron.
Okay, but that line "this isn't what we talked about Miguel!" and "you knew?" has me SO intrigued what is going on THERE?
Maybe a little betrayal action? Some whump? Hurt no comfort-I read way too much fanfic. I'M SO HYPE THOUGH LET'S GO.

this movie, just like Into the Spider-Verse, is a love letter to the Spider-Man franchise
The MCU takes place on Earth-199999 so they were definitely referring to “No Way Home”, but it’s strange cus in “Multiverse of Madness” they refer to it as Earth 616 which is the “main” earth in the comics (just the earth that we started on as readers).
So it seems in the MCU it’s considered 616, but outside the MCU (spiderverse, the video games etc) it’s referred to as Earth-199999

@@xmarkst7329 No, Miles lives in this multiverse's version of Earth-1610 (which is where he becomes Spider-Man after Peter dies in that comic continuity). If I remember right, all of the characters from ITSV are referred to as being from alternate 'B' versions of their respective comic universes in dev material (i.e. Earth-1610B), but from what we've seen I assume that's just for meta labelling's sake.
A movie about sacrifice and the brutal knowledge that even as super powerful as you may be that you cant always save everyone. This is gonna be good and a bit of an emotional roller coaster, like any good spiderman story should be.
It's crazy how they're bringing such an obscure Marvel villain into the big screen. The Spot is cool.

The whole reason people say he isn't spiderman, is because this version of Miles Morales is his own character rather just being a token. Unless you referring to the people who said Miles couldn't be spiderman given his race, then yeah he's spiderman but he's his own spiderman. That's why he isn't spiderman, he's Miles Morales and he isn't your typical spiderman. Which is what I like about the movie's take on this nuance version of spiderman compare to Miles in the comics.

I think the reason why 2099 Spider man is chasing miles is because Miles got bit by a radioactive spider that wasn't from his own universe which to 2099 Spider man Miles is an anomaly that doesn't deserve to be apart of the...spider verse place or something??? So Miguel must be trying to get rid of Miles's powers or something which is why miles is being chased
To back up my comment, in the Spider Verse movie when all the other spider people from different universes started to glitch out because they weren't in their own universe, and the spider that bit miles was also glitching which means it wasn't from his own universe
