  • Do you struggle with staying motivated to lose weight (or eat better, or exercise regularly)? In this video, I give very specific steps to help increase motivation so that the next change you want to make in your lifestyle is going to stick.
Most of us struggle with finding the motivation to make various healthy lifestyle changes. It’s common to be really committed to something at the beginning…and then, we quickly lose motivation.
Which can be really frustrating, and many people will think there’s something wrong with them for not being motivated enough. But it doesn’t have to be such a struggle.
If any of this sounds familiar, then watch this video because I’m going to help you.

Would love to see a video on mindset works. 😀I know it’s the difference so much between success and failure. I love what Robert Downey Junior said when he kicked his addiction to drugs: “It’s not that difficult to overcome these seemingly drastic problems … what is hard is to decide”

Thank you for this segment. It is what I struggle with every time I decide to lose weight. I get to the point of, this is it! I’m doing it! And then I slump into the mindset of giving up.

Thank you for this segment. It is what I struggle with every time I decide to lose weight. I get to the point of, this is it! I’m doing it! And then I slump into the mindset of giving up. I would definitely appreciate knowing more about the psychology of weight loss. I recently purchased your 1-week beginners guide to intermittent fasting and this video is a great Segway to getting started, this time for good. Thank you for sharing.

I actually do Intermittent Fasting with great success (I lost 30 kgs a few years ago and got really shapely again like I was in my early twenties) and listening to your video today made me think of this "Bridging motivation". I can actually use my good success with intermittent fasting to get motivated for other things that I try to postpone. I have started exercising with my dog and for me now the dog "asks" me to get out every day. Maybe that is my motivation as I love her and want to do what she wants. There is another thing that I want to do and I will use both little "successes" as bridging successes. Thank you for more motivations. I often binge your videos.

I love this! Yes, that's the perfect application of bridge motivation. ❤🐕

Appreciate the psychology behind motivation - and that it's really not up to "being motivated" but rather breaking that down and deciding to do what I need to do to meet my goal.

Is it possible for you to do the video about blood pressure and importance of measuring it and also show how to properly measure it at home. Because it is blood pressure awareness month and it is great to spread awareness☺

HI, I just discovered your channel. I think content creators watch each other constantly and that leads to good things and bad things. One thing that I truly dislike is this endless use of stock footage. When you say something to do with "exercise" since I'm not a dim wit I know what that means, I needn't be shown stock footage of someone "exercising". It insults our intelligence and frankly makes the content creator look like a juvenile copy cat, trying to do the same thing other content creators are currently doing. You're a smart woman, trust yourself that what you have to say is useful to the viewer, and we are perfectly capable of watching your kind face and absorbing the info without being pandered to with idiotic stock footage. When you're having a conversation with a friend and she mentions having made a pie, I'm pretty sure you know what she means without her having to whip a stock photo of a picture of a pie out of her purse. As a matter of fact if she did such a thing throughout your conversation you would be understandably insulted. Why do you think we the viewer feel any differently? You're an M.D. and I wager you are 100 times smarter than myself, yet still I don't like to be treated as if I was a child. The subjects you address are of great interest to me and I will continue to watch, I just wanted to express my opinion on that matter.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and I do appreciate your opinion. I'm sorry you felt like you were being pandered to - definitely not the intention! My team and I try to strike the right balance between providing good information and presenting things in an entertaining way. I'm glad to hear you're finding my topics valuable, however, and I hope you do keep watching 😊
