Good advice about the trigger. I don't own a Sig but I'm trying to soak up as much info as I can about all the 9mm options out there. Thanks for sharing.

      Hello Cat
There are so many great options to upgrade our firearms these days. Some inexpensive and some very expensive!
You have to figure out what is going to work best for you and fit your needs. Although the Sig that I own is a good firearm, Canik makes some exceptional firearms at a great price. If you are just looking upgrading your existing firearm, check out Galloway Precision and Mcarbo. They have great upgrades for firearms at good prices.
      Hopefully this was helpful.
      Thanks for watching.
      Stay safe and healthy.

Nice pick up. I went went with the P365 X Macro comp..... At first I couldn't fill it up to 17..... Left them loaded at 16 for 2 weeks. I got the the full 17 in on Saturday. Great video. Just sub'd. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks and welcome to the channel!
Hopefully after a few weeks of keeping my mags loaded, I'll be able to get 17 in them.
We'll see. (Smile) Beside that, this is a awesome firearm for home defense and EDC.
      Thanks for watching.

Congratulations on your new purchase! I'm really digging mine.
I wasn't a real fan of the stock trigger, but that wasn't a deal breaker for me. For less than $30 bucks, the Mcarbo trigger kit is a great sweet upgrade. The profomance barrel is optional.
      Thanks for watching.

I've installed quite a few of the spring replacement kits. I actually prefer the Armory Craft over the M Carbo. The Armory Craft has 4 springs, one that gives it a really nice positive tactile reset. They're the same price. Not saying replace the one you have, but for others that may be looking. Keep working with that mag lol New sig mags are a PITA for that last round til they start breaking in. Just keep flexing it. The DPM recoil system mentioned earlier.. You probably aren't going to notice much of a recoil improvement from it if you're shooting normal ammo. That's kit shines on tuning when you get into aftermarket slides, comps, higher or lower than normal pressure/recoil ammo etc. The XL slide is pretty spot on with the factory spring from a reliability standpoint. Reducing recoil may also reduce reliability. When you start messing with the dynamics by adding comps or lightweight cut slides etc and start having failure to extract issues or extremely harsh ejection, you can use kits like that to tune it back to a more normal ejection pattern.

      Thanks for the information.
I went with Mcarbo, because I've had good experiences with them in the past, but it good to hear that there are other economical options out there.
As for recoil... I don't want to do anything that might compromise reliability. As you said earlier.
I just installed a Hogue grip sleeve. Not high tech, but feels great in the hand and helps to manage recoil.
Not the easiest to install, but I've got a system for installing my Hogue grips that works for me.
I'm going to do a (how to) video showing how I do it.
      Thanks again for your input.
      Thanks for watching.

@@redzone1019 You can reduce recoil and get the reliability back. Most comps don't reduce recoil enough to need to lighten the springing. If it does no big deal to just swap one out. I run a ridiculously light reciprocating set up in my Ar 3 gun rifle. Running a low mass JP carrier with a .58oz taccom buffer and taccom -25% reduction spring. That with M4-72 muzze brake makes it feel like shooting a .22.

      Thanks brother.
I thought about adding a comp, but I'm EDC mine. I didn't want to go with the extra weight and length. I ended up installing a Hogue slip on grip. Very inexpensive upgrade, but a real BEAR to get on. Lol! That said, well worth the effort. Definitely soften the felt recoil, feels great and doesn't add any more length to it.
In other words... Works for me. (Smile)
      Thanks for the info brother.
      Much appreciated.
      Stay safe and healthy.

Great video and wonderful gun. Long time lurker, first time commenting. If this is a gun that you will keep and not trade in later down the line, you could do (not necessary, I only do this for guns that I will never trade/sell) add a few final upgrades to "finish off" the gun, so to speak. Since recoil might be an issue after shooting the P365X for long periods of time, adding something like a DPM recoil reduction system might help. I have a small 3.3 inch barrel 45 ACP (Springfield XDS Mod 2) and liked shooting it but wanted just a bit of the recoil taken off it. So I got the DPM system and I liked the end result a lot in taking off a bit of the sting. And I'm glad that you did a trigger kit upgrade and barrel upgrade. If I had the Sig P365, I might consider getting a short stroke flat trigger upgrade as well. It's all very pricey and it is only for the best of the best in terms of your guns but I find these little upgrades literally transforms the gun.
    Watch your 6, good day.

      Thanks.
So far, the Sig P365 X Macro Tacops is a keeper. I've made the mistake of upgrading firearms that I later traded or sold in the past.
Hopefully those days are over with. Lol! The recoil isn't horrible, but that DPM recoil reduction system sounds like a good upgrade.
I mean, If it could tame the recoil on a 3.3 inch barrel 45ACP... That's good enough for me. (Smile)
      Thanks for the input.
      And thank for watching.

The trigger gets better as it breaks in, but it's never going to be like a SA only. Your Titanium Nitride (gold) barrel probably isn't doing anything for accuracy but it does look nice. You shouldn't be afraid to put 17 rounds in, the springs are stiff when factory fresh, you just have to put your big girl pants on and push (with the mag loader). Leave em loaded for a few days and they'll relax some so reloading is easier. Instead of Hogue grips consider FdezWerx for interchangeable backstraps to fit your hand better.

    • @redzone1019
      @redzone1019  Před 5 měsíci +2

I'm quite sure the trigger gets better over time, but I wasn't willing to wait that long.
The Mcarbo trigger kit is a fantastic low-cost upgrade for the P365.
As for the barrel, don't knock it until you try it.
      (Smile)
I've tried both and there is a difference.
      Just my opinion.
As for putting on big girl pants...
Maybe that's your deal, not mine.
      (Judgement free zone bro. LOL!)
I've been working with firearms for over 40 years.
I'm not a novice, so when I say the mags that came with my P365 will not take more than 16 rounds. They won't take more than 16 rounds.
My Mags said, No means No! (Smile) That said , I like Hogue grips, but thanks for the tip on the FdezWerx. I'll check'em out.
      Thanks for watching.
