Probably a lot as they're so far the only consistent revenue source for small but sizable streamers, however, it makes you think how much they're raking in for all those sweet MTX to be able to pay more than CZcams themselves.

I hate that Titanfall 2 barely works. It's so amazing. What pisses me off more is it was just on a huge popularity wave until the ddosing got really bad. You're lucky if you can play a 1 or 2 matches an hour without getting kicked.

i don't believe respawn doesn't care. EA is the one that doesn't care. respawn is forced to focus all their attention on apex because that's where the money for EA is. people at respawn have lives and kids to feed, nobody wants to loose their job fighting the boss just to "save" a videogame... we players/consumers live this games like they are the important thing... they are not... it's an industry, there are many many things at play that have nothing to do with videogames... there are laws, international laws, rights, copyrights, lawyers, artists, producers, computer technology lobbies, power games, egos, u name it.
Like what little p said, nobody wants to work for free. EA wouldn't greenlight a dev to work on the source code again after many years it has been grandfathered, and it actually costs money to update the game because of certifications and sht.

Have to agree with Mr Negative here... Apex sucks. So does Respawn and EA (more EA of course). Even their Star Wars game was lame. Apex was broken since day 1 and after 10 seasons it's still broken! Got bugs everywhere. Connections are awful, I still do get solo or duo rounds. That bug can be solved very easily in the code... The damage is bugged, some players can kill with half a magazine while others have to empty 2 entire magazines. You can see the difference using a R99 vs ANY other weapon for example. The aim is bugged too, sometimes you can hit players very easily and effortlessly others, you have to have pinpoint-atomic-pixel accuracy. High seasoned players get all these advantages vs noobs who are starting get nothing... New players entering the game ARE meat for the grinder that's for sure. And I've done the experiment actually, so people don't accuse me of bitterness or something stupid like that... In my main account I can't get barely a kill and 500damage... Did another account I was getting 10 kills and 2000damage per game. The numbers aren't totallyyyy exact but... You get the picture! Something is terribly wrong with the game

Titanfall 2 works for me, but multiplayer is not working right. I have to play a match and then exit multiplayer before it times out. If it times out, I lose all edits I made on my pilots and Titans in that session. Multiplayer is also really laggy.

Yeah, sometimes the lobby freezes then disconnects me with the message "Connection to the server timed out"
Same thing happened when I purchased Star Wars Battlefront 2 remake, as it was on sale (oh I wonder why). Turns out the game was unplayable majority of the time, at least 95%. Game would freeze upon menu opening and would not go past it. If it did, the game was surely to crash in-game. I complained to Microsoft store customer service that I wanted my money back bc the game was fraud, due to unplayability. They knew what they were doing when they put it on sale (horrid reviews)
This doesn't seem to be a mainstream issue and its an unfair comparison. The game isn't unplayable for me and all of my friends who play really often.
My friend bought it but never once complain about any issue.

Crazy how just a few people can turn an entire community on its head over the fact that they think they can “do it better” basically and basically don’t even actually care that everyone is wanting to play the game less and less as a result. To be honest, after this all came out I switched over to playing something other than TF|2. Started with Battlefield 4, then went to Apex. Currently enjoying Apex, don't think I'll return to TF|2 any time soon. It's a sad tale of manipulation by a master manipulator and I know it's mostly all over with now, but just a bitter taste left..

So they couldn't use Source Engine G-Mod to create their own version of a Titanfall game? Titanfall assets can be easily extracted by some Source engine mod tool I believe.

I am a Titanfall player, but the Titanfall DDos problem is forcing me into trying Apex. Only problem is, it feels 100% different and I have _no_clue what I'm doing lol. I am open to finding peeps online to team with, but I am no good at this yet, so the game is awkward for now

It's a shame that hackers have effectively killed Titanfall to the point Respawn, after fixing the original exploit, realized they'd just work around it and do it again in a loop and had to remove it from storefronts to break the cycle and leave the game to die. They also reduced Titanfall 2 to just its campaign (which is good, but nowhere near as fun as multiplayer for obvious reasons), and will likely share the same fate once Respawn realizes that the same loop is going to continue unless they allocate more people or stop selling them game (the former likely being prevented by EA wanting 'moar Apex'). And then Apex itself will be hit nonstop and Respawn will get Visceral'd by EA once their golden goose is plagued by the same problems.
No one wins, except the hackers and EA. The hackers destroy a franchise over a Chinese MMO and not being good at the game, and EA wins because they make a shitload of money and face no consequences for turning Respawn into a horrible company and scamming people out of their money.
As soon as EA was involved in Titanfall, the franchise was already dead - the hackers just found easy pickings, that's all.

I kind of wish we just had the source and server code released so that people can do what they want with the game they can no longer play otherwise. Give me the means to run a private Titanfall server with some friends lol, or a mod that lets you mess around in a singleplayer sandbox
I stand a little with the hackers, Respawn and EA don’t listen to the community enough and they continue to milk Apex, I say hit him and make them listen, if these hackers played their chess pieces and cooperated with more groups they could’ve pulled off much more than a “save Titian-Fall loading screen”.
