@@kptz4343 This doesn't feel like a medieval battle either. Battles with knights were fought with very tight ranks in formation, and if everyone was armored, the fight could last very long. That aside, I don't like how Chiv 2 looks. I even prefer Chiv 1. Mordhau fixed a lot of what was wrong with Chiv 1, like rainbowing. None of them portray medieval fights though. To do that, I think, you'd have to take one of those strategy games where you have whole armies with cavalry and archers, turn it into a FPS game with similar (kinda loosely) to Mordhau mechanics but where fighting is focused on thrusting attacks (especially aimed at weak points in armor), short range projectiles aimed mostly at the face, staying in tight formation, using shields more etc
I understand the sentiment a lot of mordhau players have with chiv. When chiv was announced i thought it looked clunky, got bored an hour or so in because i hadnt fully grasped the combat. Now im sitting at hundreds of hours on chiv and ive been enjoying it much more than mordhau. When you win a 1vX in chiv you feel like a god, when you win a 1vX in mordhau its because you get a health pack after every kill. And to those saying chiv is a casual game with no competitive aspect, i would argue the complete opposite. Mordhau is based off of a lot of reaction time and not too much else, chiv is based on reading your opponents and realizing what players do in certain circumstances, and then you can exploit what they are doing in a fast manner and you can rack up 100 kills a game or more (not assists/ takedowns). Think for honor but with less 50/50 guess work. Hope i didnt come off as too aggressive with this comment but i feel as if many mordhau players arent giving chivalry a fair shake, i know i didnt when chivalry first released.
I agree, Chiv looked more simple / casual on the surface, but after discussing and being coached by a pro (see my last video), the combat system is really deep and full of mindgames. Mordhau sometimes feel like a spam of 50/50 drag accel reaction time test
Chiv 2 is way slower than Mordhau and is much easier to play, definitively has a lower skill ceiling than Mordhau. In Mordhau you can't cheese the combat.
Chivalry 2 is a lot more new player friendly and not as hard to get into so I’m not surprised a mordhau player is good at the game even tho it’s first time playing the game
Honestly I decided to install chivalry 2 on a whim because it was on gamepass. here I am 40+ hours later, still playing it and having a blast. it's becoming a main game for me.
Casual play is so much better in Chiv2, have enjoyed it since launch. Mordhau gets a little too sweaty sometimes.. which can also be fun. Just enjoy the mindlessness of Chiv battles more.

Some point I don’t like Chiv because the game so too much fantasy unhistorical more than Chiv 1 and some point I hate Mordhau because player destroy historical point and change it into fantasy 😂 But I still love both of game because it have different cultures for game play and something gear in game have
Yea i can understand that. Medieval slashers arent great for their historical accuracy, i wish they would go full fantasy tbh but thats just me. I would imagine it is sort of difficult to nail a game like chiv with complete historical accuracy especially since there is a lot of contention and opposing opinions to historical combat experts.

Few months ago i tried to go back on Chiv, and i got bored quickly... I mean, I think Chiv 2 is a really good game ! but Mordhau fights are so much enjoyable ! I would kill to have all the players of Chiv on Mordhau today !
Yeah i my favorite part of mordau was when that 200 lvl naked dude did 50 feints ripost all my attacks and i had to solve the DaVinci code to predict and block and then get one shotted and see him 1v6 after....so much fun
As someone that just got into chiv 2, i'll say this. It's a lot of fun at first, but it gets stale fast. Pretty limited amount of content, and I stopped at 35 hours.
then you prob suck, i have 150h in now and still learning. idk how you did master this game in 35h let alone get good at it... i win a lot of 1vX fight and it feels soo good.

It looks clunky at first but its much smoother, probably because no timed block, no weird angle attacks that you hardly see coming, and i promise you i hve hundreds of hours in both games and the non directional attacks makes the game feel so much better. The HUD definitely needs work i will give you that.

4:47 The blades are actually very realistic hit wise. Go at .25 speed and you will notice it cleaved straight through you.

I love medieval kinds of games, between this and For Honor. I much prefer Chiv purely because its so chaotic and dying isnt really a big issue

True, even if you only spam slash or counter slash youll still get kills. Helps that you dont get a crazy strong heal every kill.

The combat system in this game looks weird in comparison to Mordhau, everything looks so arcade. The HUD and the damage itself.
Looks clunky on video but hits / sound are very satisfying when playing, I thought the same until I tried it myself
