- Angelino Heights was established in 1886 and is the second oldest neighborhood in Los Angeles, right after Bunker Hill. It is located in between Chinatown and Echo Park. The area is famous for having a lot of Victorian homes. There is a high concentration on Carroll and Kellam Avenue. There are many building styles: Craftsman, Art Decco, Bungalow, Colonial, Victorian etc. Many homes were destroyed when they built the Hollywood Freeway. Some homes have been used as film locations for TV and Movies. Angelino Height is literally minutes from downtown Los Angeles.
Hi, not sure if you know but that big house past the big tree is actually one of the most famous houses on Carroll avenue, its the Thriller House from Michael Jacksons Thriller video, yes that run down one has a very very spooky famous story
Some of those Victorian homes remind me of the old bunker hill homes. Beautiful.... and Bob's market was used in the first Fast n Furious movie. It was Torettos market. Good job filming..
Los Angeles has not had "SLUMS" in over 30 years....The older neighborhoods gentrified decades ago Angelino Heights, Echo Park, Silverlake, the Hollywood Hills, Los Feliz, Hancock Park, University Heights, West Hollywood, Pico/Wilshire, View Park, Mt Washington, Lakeview Terrace, La Canada, Old Pasadena, Glendale...

Nice
Beautiful homes. Some need a bit of love. It's sad to see old homes for sale with interior completely modernized.
Not so long ago this used to be active gang territory (Alpine st, Osiri Boys, angelino Heights 13). Now a lot of these houses are in the millions.
Little does he know there used to be lots of gangs and shootings in this area hes at, and sometimes there is some random gang stuff still going on.
