I have the red LED version and think its a spectacular watch, however, the biggest spoiler for me is the clasp, no micro adjustment makes the bracelet either too tight or too loose, as far as im aware the 1970s version had a fold over clasp, looking at the fact that Hamilton have done such a stellar job of re creating the 70s version almost to the finest detail i think it will always remain a mystery to me as to why they used the Butterfly clasp... what were they thinking, love the watch, but the clasp.. oh dear. :)
As a fellow kid from the 80s, I saw ROTJ 3 times in the theater. You weren’t wrong about the green lightsaber. Just picked up my green PSR and happened across your channel. Great review!
That watch is badass! I have a cheap Armitron that is very similar and I hat when the time goes away and you always have to press the button, this version is great!!
Great review, great shots, great points. Very excellent watch, however I’m old enough to remember LED displays being used in things and they were usually red. Green looks awesome as well though.
The green PSR was only introduced after the newest Matrix movie. It originally came with a red display but I guess the directors wanted green to match the Matrix theme
Really??? Companies have ever rising operating expense's, labor, insurance equipment, maintenance, rent. Fast food restaurants are government mandated to pay absurd wages for entry level positions that are designed to teach people the basic skill of work, what do you think Hamilton has to pay an actual skilled employee??? Yelp keep voting for big government & your own self interest's, then you'll really have something to complain about as your quality of life continues to degrade. And the people that complain about this seem to have no issue paying 1300.00 for a new phone every 2 years or 7.00 for a mocha crapuchino every morning...I can only imagine what your thoughts are on Rolex or Patek.
Its pretty but not 750$ pretty... I gotta admit that is very cool though! How about that... an OLED display on a watch... Screwdown and sapphire are both awesome touches!
for what it's worth, I spent $500 for mine which is what they usually go for on a lot of grey market websites. Still, I completely get that it's more of a niche watch and not for everyone. I can't imagine why any level-headed, responsible adult would ever get one🤣
@@degenerateWA Its probably a good thing I dont know any responsible level adults in this hobby! 🤣🤣🤣This is one of those pieces that elevate you from collector to connoisseur due to it being very left field and most people wont know the history but those who do will give you a nod like you both are in some kind of a cult.😅
For its price, I would consider it more as a dressing, fashionable bracelet (and ONLY for this it could have a sense). But as a mere watch, its quality price value is VEEERY LOW!! You'll pay just its style...
The PSR is originally red. An all black with green display variant was added for the new Matrix movie, which then inspired Hamilton to make a version with a silver-tone case as well
Hamilton / hamill 🤔 So red for vadar then ? I personally make a nostalgic connection in the red with k.i.t.t scanner from Knightrider and also the predators red digits on his wrist gauntlet . Of course the green gives me a Men in black pulsar vibe or even Independence days alien technology. Hard to pick - but the science says Green is the easiest colour for the human eye to recognise and pick up on . Thanks for the review (there are not many of the green out there it’s mostly red)
@@bruh_oly1370 I can definitely see the red one being in Knightrider. The fact that there was very little coverage of the green version is what made it so intriguing to me. Appreciate the feedback.
It depends on which angle you're coming from. For a functional watch, yes; easily. For a retro-style LED with an always-on display and 5 year battery life, not so much. However it is not a practical watch, thats for sure.

Excellent, great pickup🍻
Amazing video! I have the black and red! After watching your video now I want to collect the Silver & Green! 😊
Thank you
That's awesome. It's a killer watch for sure👌💯
Great review! The James Bond connection (1973's Live and Let Die) does it for me. This will be my next watch.
Great video! Amazing review! I bought the watch thanks to your video! Horological history on my wrist!😊
Great pickup. It's such an incredibly fun watch and you definitely have some serious history on your wrist💯🍻
Had to get one. Loved your affection for old sci-fi films, me too.
Right on🍻
I’m buying one today thankyou
Lovvvvvve it! The green text so sci fi as well
Like flies to honey🤣 I knew you couldn't resist this watch
@@degenerateWA ha ha obviously I have a problem!

I reviewed that one too: czcams.com/video/jp8cSi7aLx4/video.html
Love that watch. Great release from Armitron 👌
Narrator is absolutely correct
Men of culture, we meet again🍻
Looks futuristic very nice
You can't beat the 70's and 80's style bro
Looks great and that is a smart move adding sapphire to it
Sapphire is the way🙏

It's also available in red like the original.
Great review mate, these are such cool watches
Definitely in the category of "why the hell not?" watches which is a fun place to be👌
I got the black strap.....green limited edition mxr
Very nice🍻
really nice watch, nice digi alternative but wish they had priced it better 😎😎
I could go for cheaper prices on every watch😎
@@degenerateWA haha hell yeah 😅😅
Nice watch but Why (most) stainless steel digital watches are overpriced?
Good question. Steel is so cheap there is no reason why it's priced this way. Watch addicts are dumb🤷♂️

I usually only focus on paying for the look anyways. All of my watches essentially perform the same.
Wow it's 1975 all over again. Except then the numbers were always red.

@bruh_oly1370 both flavors are fantastic IMO. Definitely hard to pick. If I see a good deal pop up, I may get the red version as well.
Thats expensive, im sure i can get something similar for way less.

The Gerlach Kosmonaut might be an option....
