HELMET CAM: Trail Ride + Jumping and Flatting in Fields

This is my third GoPro video on this channel. It shows me and two of my friends walking the trails and going around the perimeter of the large property of our barn. We trot and canter a few hills and flat open areas and jump some small logs in a pasture.
I recently moved barns due to school, but Ariel quite likes this new location and barn.
Yes, my mare is pregnant and yes it is safe to jump and work like this her at this stage in her pregnancy. It is safe and recommended to keep mares in their regular work routine and keep them healthy and fit. It is safe to jump pregnant mares up until their fourth to fifth month of pregnancy. It is safe to ride them up until their seventh to eighth month of pregnancy. Ariel just past her second month of pregnancy and has a healthy foal growing.
We really like these trail rides since it is nice to get out of the arena and explore, but also that there are so many hills to walk, trot, and canter. Hill work is very good for horse and is a wonderful way to keep them fit and build top line and hind quarter muscle. When cantering and trotting hills like this, you want to take frequent walk breaks and not do too much work at once. But it is a good work out for them to canter or trot a few hills and keep them fit every once in a while.
In total, this trail ride with take anywhere from 40-70 minutes from start to finish depending on routes taken and time spent in different areas along the trail.

This is so fascinating! I've literaly never owned or rode a horse but I've always dreamed of it. I really wanna start training how to ride horses but my family is too poor and I am not fit for this :(((
