This is a longer version of my previous upload - • Epic Bear Fight - NO M... - I have added more to the beginning and the end of the video. Please be kind re comments about filming…I am not a professional and we were on a small boat - besides the boat rocking, we had to re-position the boat every so often as we were heading for the rocks.

The Injury was already on the hip before the attack, meaning this bear ALREADY had some beef, won the girl and STILL fought this dude to a DRAW, TRULY AWESOME.
Just over a female for giving his offspring epic unbelievable to watch but I'd not care to be anywhere near any bear thanks 😮 but truly incredible.

Not being killed doesn't equal draw. One bear could have easily had the other for dinner.
That is the third most violent fight I have ever seen between bears. I know it's nature, but SO SAD to watch. Hope his leg heals ok.

@@Frip36havent seen a good quality bear fight where any scars or flaps were hanging. This was pretty violent fight that didnt go to the death.
It may not be possible for a grizzly to kill a grizzly. Or for a grizzly to be killed by any other animal. @@lustrah1379

The lighter skinned bear approached so nonchalantly, like he was getting out of bed to grab a late night snack. I had no idea he was looking for a fight.

The stamina and punishment they can endure is insane. The one had a big gash even before this brawl and he got so punished yet held his ground. With so many injuries recovery will take a long time for both.
Notice though that the leg wound was not bleeding profusely, as the bear’s skins consists of layers, and only the top was laid open. Still a wound yes, but not something which is fatal.

@TheVanjon so the bear on the female bear already had the open gash before they started fighting? I had seen this before but hadn't noticed the gash at the start of the fight. Thought it had happened during the fight.

Pro fights in the heavyweight division don't last half this long and they come out for air every couple minutes ... these guys, the ref couldn't even get close enough to break 'em apart. The pros also don't fight on jagged rocks next to a pool of cold water.

Amazing video. Perfectly clear. Great audio. I used to box back in the day, couldnt imagine fighting(on slippery rocks) for like 25min full throttle. Humans would have a heart attack. Incredible display of how powerful these animals truly are

Some of the comments stated this was a draw. The bear with the gash was the one that lost and submitted. It did the classic head held low at the very end of the fight just before they parted ways. Bear language is different than wolves and big cats.
No. Bear with the gash looks tired but he's keeping move forward, causing another bear to steps back and finally go away. This guy stands his ground and certainly wins this fight.
No, the bear with a gash lost at the end. He put on a good fight all the way to the end. If you watch other bear fight videos you will see how these fights usually end. The loser is on its back and stops fighting back. Then holds his head down while the winner walks away. You can also see the female bear following the winner at the end@@Ae3Akmi
@@salehjoon I had watch some bear fights videos and rewatched them now, and found nothing you’re talking about. Usually two bears fight each other until one of them forcing another to leave a battlefield (winner can take few steps around, doesn’t matter holding his head up or down, while loser walks away, but that’s all). And that is what we see in this video. Bear with a gash keeps pushing, other bear steps back and leaves territory. It’s not a “winner bear” behaviour. Winner don’t need to leave.
And we don’t know why bear with a gash didn’t continue his little affair with female bear. Maybe he was almost exhausted from two big fights in a row, it no wonder
Both bears are the losers. To take all that damage for a bit of sex, it's never worth it. He who loves and runs away will live to love another day.

That bear definitely earned his right to breed. He had already been scrapping. Crazy to think this happens a lot more than people think.

@@technolibra No, they didn't. A young animal has everything to lose if they die and leaves no progeny, while an older one presumably already lived life and left some offspring, so it' not them who need to prove their strength.
Wow, in the first vid, I hadn’t noticed that the bear who ended up getting the worst of it (the one mating with the female in the beginning) *already* had that huge gash in his left side before the fight even started :-0

If I had to guess, the darker bear is older than the lighter bear, only because in the beginning he had the upper hand (more experience) but the lighter bear had more stamina. Not for nothing, bro did him dirty though. Attack him right in the middle of doing the deed.

I have no idea how they kept going that long. Imagine that kind of stamina with zero prep. Easily best bear fight ever recorded. The lighter color one was like Khabib riding his back, thought he might look for hand control on the left.

This is an insanely good video! It’s crazy how close you seem to be even if on the water! Those things are huge 400lbs+ all of em for sure! It’s incredible what they can endure and survive- literally chewing away with that bite force on each others spine and still able to survive- incredible footage - not the biggest bears about but damn they truly battle it out - only one I’m slightly more impressed by is the one Tim treadwell captured of two absolute behemoths going at it - just the sheer size and power is terrifying and he could so easily of ended up in either of them - makes you think how terrifying it must have been for both him and his girlfriend- these animals are absolute killing machines - and people think a lion or tiger would win against a massive kodiak male weighing over a thousand pounds - not a chance - against a sleeping smaller inland female yes but a male Kodiak bear - hell no - great to not have music and adverts throughout- I applaud you for uploading this insanely good footage 👍🏻🍻🥃👏🏻

These are not even kodiaks and they don't even look like big grizzlies either. Certainly ignorant idiots claim a barbary descendant lion or Big Siberian could take on these combative machines! Not a chance! Lions and tigers are much smarter than that! They just do the cat thing and run! They are are also much smarter than the stupid humans who make such ridiculous claims!
Lions are smarter pride hunters and bears are expert grapplers, 1 on 1 of course bear wins, a full lion pride with the male/s and females hunting together which happens when the prey is too difficult would go absolutely to the lions. Is kinda having a 6'4 220 ufc champion against a group of amateur mma guys, is unfair just because of the numbers. And also lions hunt the most deadly prey animals in the world, so that's also a factor to consider.
Edit: Oh, and also big cats are notorious for being smart af when it comes to killing bigger animals, for example that have been leopards who found out that Gorillas have a weak spot in their back legs because there is an artery there and they just bite on the precise spot and let the gorilla bleed out, and leopards are way smaller than gorillas.
A hungry adult Amur tiger, male or female, is much smarter than that and won’t tackle a fully grown adult male brown bear in its prime head on. Instead, it’ll hunt and kill the smaller immature male brown bear or adult female bear - via ambush and stealth!
I hope Tim Treadwell's story endures as a lesson on the limits of wishful thinking and not *just* an example of reckless naivety.
Imagine if UFC fighters had to fight the first round in a pool of water and the second round would be fought in a pit of sharp edged rocks and boulders. These were not Care Bears, these Bears were Don't Care Bears. The motto of these two bears is: Any place, any time, any environment. That was so impressive.
Amazing. Thank you for sharing. The bloodiest fight to the death. The light colored bear was fierce but the heavily battle-scarred dark bear still remains the winner in my opinion. Afterall the female bear will bear his fruits.

In other bear brawls I've seen the combatants seemingly don't act murderous, but that "psycho bear," the golden one, he truly looks and acts like he wants to murder his opponent.

The winner of a bear fight is the one who walks away. Also interesting how the losing bear had a severe upper left leg injury before the fight started and the winning bear did not exploit that injury - as if there is some kind of bear fight code or rule against exploiting such a thing.
bear fight is slow but the amount of power....pushing, grapple and take down used up so much energy. i just cant imagine if they dig those claw into your chest with so much strength. its like someone taking a shovel and stomping on the edge to dig it in your chest but with 20x the weight
They must have the toughest skin on the planet. When they grab ahold and shake their heads, I can't believe the skin doesn't just tear. The one bear did have a nice gash already.

That hide on their haunch and shoulder areas is tough skin, to rip through that you can imagine what kind of bite force it takes, what a fight, just shows the savagery built into them.
Incredible battle.. props to the injured bear for fighting while injured AND after he has put in a "session" of choice pumps... should have been tired from that, but still fought to a draw.. it's amazing what the right "motivation" will inspire you to do

I watched it again. While both walked away alive, it can be said serious wounds were inflicted on both sides. Romeo more than likely will not survive his. The wound on his leg he can get to and regularly keep clean, but the wound on his back will more than likely get infected. I'm glad you added the footage in the end. The look on the face of Brutus tells it all. He is exhausted and in great pain.
If you look at him begore the fight the wound on his leg was there BEFORE the fight ! It can be seen when he was trying to mate and mount the female bear and prob got it trying as a result !

This fight almost certainly will go to the end..there can be only 1 resident male bear. I'm guessing the blonde bear is the intruder and the brown bear is the resident bear. Also Vanessa on the video said the blonde bear killed his boy a day before and that he is on a killing spree. Either the blonde bear leaves Romeos territory- unlikely or this fight will go to the end. But I had no idea that these fights last for days.. Lions fights last for 4-6 h and its 2 vs 1
Maybe going into the water might clean his wound on the back?

Idk, it looked more like a street fight to me. If it were mma, they'd be more knowledgeable, controlling positions better, and going for the neck. Ill admit tho, their stamina is world class.

Just curious how many of you and how far you shot it?
There was 7 of us in a small boat and we were maybe 10-15 meters off shore...we had to reposition the boat regularly as we would start to drift towards the bears.
