Damn this got me crying like a baby. I have two sons who are 7 and 8. Over the years my drug use has got the best of me and I'm ashamed to say I haven't been there as much as I should have been. My father isn't in my life due to his addiction and here I am doing the same thing to my sons. I'm approaching 3 months clean and sober and praying I make it this time so I can be the father that they need and deserve

Sometimes its hard facing yourself in the mirror, knowing all the wrong things you've done. But thats what seperates the weak from strong. My mom and dad were addicts most of their lives. My dad was deported when i was 8 never seen again. I was separated from siblings and went from house to house. God i hurt for his son cause i get both sides. Im 36 now and mom just died of brain cancer. None of us had closure. Alot of hurt pain and anger of what it could of been. What it should have been. Wish i could call my mama. Found my dad. Ill try and repair that. Thanks for the message. Peace be still to the king. And comfort for his son man. I get it.
Damn sorry for your hard life🙏. Can relate. Lost mom at 14. Never met my dad. Had a brother from my dad find me. Like long lost relative show. Ended up meeting my dad at 36. And am barely trying to start a relationship with him. Never too late to change. I forgive him. Because that hate would be poison for my soul if I carried a grudge 🙏 Keep your head up. Takes a certain kind of person to triumph through such a hard life💪
