One should be careful about Carbon Monoxide emissions while piloting Mini-jet. Good tip and remedy for Pilots on mini jets.
Waiting on what the verdict is regarding the Sentry. I use it and want to know how reliable it is. Thank you for making this video!
Thank you! I will certainly make a follow up video!
Great testing on an important but often overlooked subject
Thank you so much!
This is FANTASTIC! I can't wait to hear about the Sentry+. I have one I use daily, and have never 'tested.' I also recently bought the Delta Zulu headset, for the CO warning as well (plus they had an amazing discount for CFIs). Thanks for making such a great video!!
Thank you! Will definitely do! Thanks for sharing!
During my flight training, I had a serious phobia of this. The club planes were so heavily used I just couldn't trust them. Ended up putting on extra layers and not using the heat 😂
Very well executed video, i have that Sensorcon in one of my Cherokees, the low threshold really gets annoying.
This is a great review!
I kinda consider devices like this to have a 2 year lifetime. I have the sensorcon in my airplane. I just leave it turned on all the time. It has a 2-year battery. When the battery runs out, I will replace the entire device.
Sometime next year when I need to replace my sensorcon, I will look for something different. I don't like how quiet the audio alert is. I've had it go off during a flight - due to a blown exhaust gasket. But even knowing it was alerting, I couldn't hear it over the engine. The Forensics that you showed seemed louder. But that generic home CO detector was really loud.
I really liked the fact that the app for the zulus could track the history. But I don't like that feature enough to pay that much for a headset.
Thanks for the great review!
Thank you so much! Agreed on the points!
@1dullgeek during the 2 year lifetime you calibrate it?
@@adrianospina7150 No.
Necessary Precaution need to be exercised for flying a small Airplane especially chemical pollution.
Nice review ... Very thorough!
Thanks TJ
I remember your original video. This is a great follow-up. I'd be interested in seeing another video on the results of your Sentry experience. It's hard for me to believe Sentry's excuses to your rather simple and straight forward test. The exact test I would be doing if I did it myself, so thanks! Your time investments here are worthwhile.
Thanks for the kind words! Yes, it was a lot of effort. I will make a follow up video on Sentry!
Multiple devices detect CO yet Sentry doesn't? Doesn't sound like there is issues with your gas to be honest.
Yes! I do believe so. I actually talked to an expert who agreed with me on this matter. I hope the issue is just my device, not the whole lineup.
Gas is just fine otherwise other detectors would not have responded.@@AV8OR51
why are the other detectors responding?
