In Western-Europe it flared up after the Summer of 2020 and got much worse, than the first wave of late Winter/Spring 2020. The second wave never died out, lasted for half a year and was named the third wave at Spring 2021. No idea why. It's end of April 2021 now and we are in lockdown for about half a year now and it didn't do much, since it wasn't thorough enough. People still went to work in full buses and still worked close together. Had they closed everything rigorously, it might have died out in 3 weeks. Then everybody had it hard for a short time. Now some industries are hit very hard (all that have to do with festivities, eating out and tourism), whilst others are quite unharmed. Many existences are offered up, many people not helped at all.

Gostaria de saber como foi a retomada após a gripe espanhola
I wonder how the resumption was after the Spanish flu
