Honestly, I've heard both ways. ETS being harder than Manhattan and Manhattan being harder than ETS. But the point to remember is that you have to practice questions of all difficulty levels because the GRE will ask a mixture of questions. So the best way forward is to complete all questions from both books. In addition, Manhattan also has a chapter dedicated to difficult questions, so you can check that out too.

@@Dana.38 Hello, it was nerve recking but it wasn't bad. I didn't do well on it because I over expected its difficulty. Meaning, the math wasn't hard. I didn't prepared myself enough to score high. First they hit you with the Issue Essay then the Argument Essay. After that it was math, verbal, math, verbal, math, then verbal. There was one 10 minute break in between the math and verbal.
I know I wasted $205 by just taking it without really studying. I pretty much winged it because of work and not getting enough sleep. I'm embarrassed to mention my score but it was a crappy 274 and a 3 on the verbal, so I need some work on writing. I will retake it in November. I have been reviewing and taking Sachin's blueprint. @@johnguillen68 I searched online and realized that the essay questions will always come first in a GRE. Please be noted to this next time. I personally did not take the exam yet, but I am getting a lot familiar with it by reading about the structure and the scoring of the exam. Good luck in your coming exam!

Even if you're an English major, you'll still have the same IELTS/TOEFL waiver criteria as everyone else haha. In most cases, Indian students don't get a waiver from US universities.

But, I read in some Universities boucher , wait lemme find out which one I read, yes it was University of Lancaster, which said something along the lines of- "students who have completed at least 2 years of study in the English language at college level, are eligible for a TOEFL and IELTS waiver". What was that about? Maybe the difference was because of differing countries?
