- In this video I play Gotham Knights on the Steam Deck. I got it running by forcing the compatibility layer Proton Hotfix. Framerate hovered around 30 frames per second during gameplay.

Imma gonna get it sooner or later but I'm just loving how valve jump on it immediately to get it to play cause before it was just window os being shown but now to see it being played on steam deck I'm looking to see what's to come for the game over all with a few updates across the generations and see it perform locked at 60 are 40hz on steam deck let's go all smoke on deck

Can you confirm if you are able to play online co-op multiplayer from steam os? I wasn't sure if coop was windows only at this point.
Yes. I can confirm multi-player works. Just played for about an hour with no issues
what are the graphical settings at? is FSR 2.0 being used?
No FSR is not being used. I left the graphical settings as they were which is the following:
Vsync: off
Dynamic resolution: off
Max fps: 60
Max render resolution: 90
Upscaling: off
Sharpening: off
Field of view: 74
Ambient occlusion, bloom, chromatic aberration, depth of field: all on
Quality preset: low
Ani-aliasing: TAA (gen4)
Texture quality, shadows quality, effects quality, post processing quality, view distance, environment density: all low
Quick question can hot fix get the first descendant to work?
I tried that out and unfortunately it didn't work

Not yet, hotfix isn't working to start it on Deck and I'm not sure whether to give up and just wait for an official fix or not

With these graphics and this framerate I should be able to run it on my Samsung Z Fold 4 without any hiccups.

it runs decent. messing with setting and locking your deck to 30fps and refresh to 30, perfeclty playable so far.

The game is poorly optimized less then 30fps once you get passed the opening missions
Once you're in the open world frame rate is lower- high 20's for me. When you're on the bike it goes a little lower. Still definitely playable for me though. I'm not too bothered by the framerate

Game runs shitty on PC and Console, according to Digital Foundry
The frame rate dips a lot when on the bike. I'm hoping a patch n the future will improve the performance
@@GameplayManiaOfficial have you tried it on Windows i heard the performance was 40 fps i mean the game is garbage but i do think patches for proton/the game will help performance also Linux for life(or at least until i gert bored) not going back to Windows too boring
I'm hoping there will be patches! I heard there was an update today but it didn't address any performance issues. I haven't tried it on windows. I have a Mac and I'm not sure I want windows on my steam deck
@@GameplayManiaOfficial mac you say mac os supports WINE(the thing proton is based on) if you didn't know if you did know & have tried it i wonder what works & what doesn't
