21-0 | The Undertakers Streak Story
In the annals of WWE history there have been many big names that have come and gone. Names like Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Steve Austin, John Cena, and Roman Reigns. Throughout all of these runs though, there is one who’s remained a constant. He’s a figure that could always be counted on, someone who, across the space of five decades, was able to build a career unlike anyone else in the industry, and that man is The Undertaker. Yes, from the golden era to the new generation, from the attitude era to ruthless aggression and beyond; the Deadman is in our opinion the greatest character in WWE History. So how did it all happen? Well, join us today as we take a deep dive into his entire career journey in Phenom: The Undertaker Story.

Shawn Michaels - Mr Wrestlemania
Wrestle with Andy , thanks for the info about Undertaker missing Wrestlemania 10 due to a injury............I thought that might be the reason and he missed Wrestlemania 16 also do to I assume a injury as well. if he had not missed two wrestlemania's his streak would have been higher.
What a Rush: The LOD Story or Real American: The Hulk Hogan Story
Can you please do wwe in 2007 in year in review.
should do curt Hawkins streak now or do heath Slater story
Not here to pick a fight but I stand by the opinion that the streak should never have been broken, he should have retired undefeated at Wrestlemania
I 100% agree
I totally agree with you
If hhh had the streak you can guarantee he wouldn't of let it fall.
Hhh set out to "beat" every top wrestlers in the business.
@@kalemdor1667 Reign Of Terror.
I agree! Vince wanted Bro k to look invincible, but Brock never wanted to do it.
This man made wrestlemania bigger than it already is, By far the greatest streak in wrestling.
For sure
Facts
The Streak should've never ended. He should've retired undefeated at Wrestlemania
I agree
I completely agree
yes...dumbest decision in wrestling history to have him lose...and to of all people dumb Brock Lesner (turd)
Would have been nice for 1 superstar to have an unbroken streak. I remember JR saying WCW was stupid for screwing Goldberg.
yes
Undertaker is a true legend. There will never be anyone like him.
⚱️
Undertaker’s Undefeated WrestleMania Streak is the greatest in history. His matches against HHH, HBK, Randy Orton, Batista, Edge, Punk etc will always be remembered. Thank You Taker 🐐❤️
Yes, I've been a fan since day 1, I've met taker, it was a dream come true! He's been and will always be my favorite of all time! He deserves it all.
25-2
Should never had ended tbh
Not really Dude. Undertaker is overrated
Taker vs. Kane was awesome also.
The Streak between mania 23 and mania 29 was legendary

25-2 That's an impressive streak for WrestleMania. You can't win them all unfortunately.
That’s a 91.1% win rate original I thought it was 92.6% but the match with giant gonzalez ended in dq so it goes down a littks (taker still won though) so I gusss it was 92.6%
I remember the anticipation me and my friends had before Wrestlemania 28. It just seemed like the perfect time for him to lose. So when that sweet chin music connected and triple h pedrigeed Taker to hell, we all thought it was over…and then it wasn’t. By far the best moment of my time being a wrestling fan. If the whole streak was a multiple decade lead up for that exact near fall it was worth it. The crowd, the wrestlers involved, the stakes, it was incredible. My disbelief had never been more suspended and hasn’t since. I nearly threw the remote across the room. Thank you Undertaker and everyone involved who made the streak possible✊🏾made my childhood.
HHH fan here. I was emotional as heck. I felt too, HHH was the right one (someone of his era, he respected, someone who had a HIAC streak). He already lost twice. I thought for sure he'd win this time. No one would've deserved it more.
He was the only real threat to the streak. After 2004, it seemed Undertaker had no threat and was predictably gonna win.
I never bought Orton, Edge, Batista, Mark Henry as worthy.
The streak shouldn’t have been broken. If sweetchin music and the pedigree combo wouldn’t ended it shouldn’t have ended
As an HHH fan, the pain I felt when I didn't hear three...😔😔😔
I’m still a firm believer of Kane being the most worthy of ending the streak. No one else comes close story wise & considering how good of a worker Glenn Jacobs is in & out of the ring.
Kane, Orton, Edge, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Cena
@@frankschaefer8890CM Punk?
@@HitchProductionz1837 Maybe but idk what I wouldve thought about that one
Yep. ESPECIALLY since the streak was pretty much a non-factor at this point. Heck, even Giant Gonzalez at WM 9 could have easily been a loss. (Not because he's a good wrestler, but it's the first match in a feud against a monster). Hell, KHALI pinned him clean with a foot on the chest in 2006! lol
Undertaker's streak ending will forever the most shocking moment in wrestling.
Shawn is that really you!?😅
I don’t know mick getting thrown off the cell was pretty shocking
HHH getting his HIAC undefeated streak broken by Batista was shocking also.
Are we going to ignore Hart falling to his death?
@@nicolicarpathia318 I think we're talking about kayfabe decisions.
Owen's death was a shock to everyone.
8:11
The streak was referenced at WM XI during Taker's match with King Kong Bundy, but only in passing
11:46
Kurt Angle fought Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton in a Triple-Threat at WM22. His match with HBK took place the year before at WM21, where Taker fought Orton
It was also mentioned during his entrance in wrestlemania 18
It was also by Jim Ross before his match with Sycho Sid at WM13
Funny how it went from a "fun fact" to basically *THE* biggest story of Wrestlemania for many years.
He shouldn't had lost the second time to Roman Reigns. That was far worse for me then the lost to Lesnar.
Not to mention that he was barely out of the hospital from his injuries .
undertaker undefeated streak best is wrestlemania 24 25 26 I was here at wrestlemania 24 25 26 I was kid and met undertaker in person 2008 2009 2010
nice bro 👏👍
Damn your parents had paper
It shouldn’t have been broken, and If so, my opinion is it should have been edge. But knowing he wouldn’t do it out of respect and not even tell taker until years later speaks volumes of his character
The interesting thing about the Snuka match was that before The Undertaker Gorilla Monsoon used to call Jimmy Snuka the "Phenom". Now of course that moniker belongs to 'Taker. So in that way I guess you could say WrestleMania 7 was a passing of the nickname torch!
No one had the feeling of hype as the undertaker walking in a stadium on sunday night as you just think of every soul he taken in every era & you just think is this the night he falls? And he would put them down, even if you rooted against him, you couldnt be mad. He was like a battered outlaw who would check the town to see who was tough & lay them to rest
Thank you TAKER. 🙌♥️👏👏
You must want to fuck him or something
*Undertaker's WM Records:*
Most matches - 27
Most wins - 25
Most consecutive wins - 21
Most consecutive matches - 18
Needless to say as a huge undertaker fan I was rather pissed off that they ended the streak
I slowly stopped watching after that...
The greatest streak in the history of WrestleMania and one of the greatest streaks in the history of pro wrestling and sports entertainment
What I love about the Streak is that it wasnt plan. Vince didnt wake up one day and said to himself. I am going to pick a guy to remain undefeated for the next 21 years. It just happened. Against all odds it happened.
Even if mania survives until Mania 100 it the streak will not be duplicated.
Undertakers match with Batista was the first wrestlemania I got to watch on PPV and it will always be my favorite match of his streak.
Is funny how this pop up while I was working on a poem inspired by the streak
The African American/Black gentleman who made that stunned face when Taker lost is a legend now ! But I was at home and felt the same way ! He summed up exactly what I was feeling ! I would get a picture with him if he was on a fan fest . Give that dude a table . He is head of the table in fan reactions ! Step aside Miz girl !
Really? Did you had to see his race? Lol
People forget undertaker kick out of the third F5 1 second to late coz that black men tell u, everyone was wondering 🤔 if did undertaker just lose for 5 minutes waiting
@@vampirascoffin870 I was just describing the guy ! Jeez ! LOL ! Would you know what I was talking about if I just said " that dude with the white shirt with glasses ' ? LOL !
@@vampirascoffin870 You had to see his gender?
Kurt Angle wrestled Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 21 not 22. Shawn and Eddie were planned for 22 but after Eddie passed away, Shawn switched to his fued with the McMahons
That sad that we dident get to see that match Eddie vs Shawn would have been a classic
I was also going to point that out. Sometimes I wonder where the guy making these videos gets his information from because I’ve seen a lot of his videos and I always notice that there would be these inconsistent facts that were thrown in there. Like the one he mentioned here about Kurt Angle. Yeah they wrestled at WM21 not 22. Shawn feuded with Vince and Kurt was thrown into that triple threat with Rey and Randy for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Wow, never knew he was supposed to face Kurt Angle.
Kurt beating him would have made sense since he was good at fighting guys bigger than him... broken freaking neck! Lol.
15:39 #FunFact It was Undertaker's idea to go over and have HHH walk out while he's assisted up the ramp. However, the collapse was a shoot. You can see HHH break character slightly and walk over to reassure/comfort Undertaker non-verbally to make sure the cart guys came down and help put him in it. Nothing egregious. A quick stutter step over.
Giant Gonzalez, a.k.a. Jorge Gonzalez was build as being 8 feet tall but his real height is 7‘7“ tall which is insane and he weighed and astounding, 437 pounds
Never be another 1! Like him taker streak was something special me and the friends would bet on who would break the streak in high school man good times lesnar ending it still pisses me off but the match with styles WAS SO GOOD!!!! 💯💯💯💯
The Undertaker is 1 of my favourite wrestlers ever, still sad the streak ended.
11:41 “but when Eddie Guerrero died the previous November, his planned Wrestlemania bout with Shawn Michaels had to be scrapped and the Olympic gold medalist was given the spot with HBK instead..” but are t they the same person?
He's a bad bad man. GOAT
Anyone ever notice CM Punk's trunks against The Undertaker at Wrestlemania? They were purple and gray. Paying homage to Undertakers first 2 attire colors
Undertaker is greatest of wwe ❤🔥
It was crazy that 15 out of the 21 involved world champions.
I miss this story telling in WWE thanks bro for this video.
I really love all of your videos.
I hope to see you cover the entire SmackDown Live era from 2016-2019, perhaps one of the most memorable periods in WWE
The greatest streak in sports entertainment
I think after Paul Bearer died he cut a promo that his retiring but before he said it Punk interrupted undertaker holding the urn
So the match is on
After defeating punk in the showcase of the immortals he left hat and coat in the ring marking his retirement And then some druids accompanied him back stage
Or
they could have bring a casket so Undertaker could lie down there holding the urn
So his streak will always be a MYTH, a LEGEND
While the Streak should've stopped after it reached 20-0, I could see the argument for 21-0 the next year since it was honoring Paul Bearer's passing, even though the build-up was a bit uncomfortable at times. Of course imagine if they had kept the title on Punk and had a 500+ day title reign v. The Streak instead of Twice in a Lifetime being for the title.
IF the Streak was going to end (and I don't think it should've), I think it should've been a gauntlet match against The Shield, that way Taker gets two more wins added to it (to make up for missing WrestleMania 10 and 16) and then finally runs out of steam in the third match and passes the torch to Roman Reigns and retires after an epic, rather than the disappointing match we got at WrestleMania 33.
9:06 what was probably just a throw-away thing he did back then has turned into an iconic visual over time.
Angle vs Michaels happened at wrestlemania 21 before Eddie died.
Facts!
I remember when WWE didn't even acknowledge the Streak, It wasn't a selling point till Orton did the "Legend Killer" gimmick that's when they started using it every year
Undertaker at WM15: *Kills* Big Bossman
Undertaker four weeks later: Working with Bossman in the Corporate Ministry.
I listened to a shoot a few years ago of HHH reminiscing, sharing a story of he and Undertaker during their tag match on the first ever Smackdown, mocking WWF Creative on the silliness of that not making sense.
Streak was mentioned in build up to wrestlemania 11 as well as during his entrance with his match against ric flair
I've seen a lot of the undertaker mania matches with out a doubt they are all amazing I do agree with most people's statements here that the the streak should have been ended by a young and up and comer but I think we can all agree that even though none of us wanted the streak to end then it was the right time to end it even if it was the wrong person to end it I'm just glad that I got to see the matches the undertaker was in all those years the legend of the undertaker will live forever thank you for the memories dead man
Those super tombstones where he kinda runs with it are sick.
Jimmy Snuka really put him over
The streak and wrestlemania were 1. It got to the point most fans went to wreslemania just for undertaker. He should had kept it intact as his gift from us and the business after all he has done.
I know taker had strong health issues so he really couldnt wrestle as before. But i would had like just him showing up in WrestleMania every year and have an simple match. He is so much more than the wrestler in the ring. His entrance, aura, behavior, his pace so many details that make him so much more.
The streak intact would had been the cherry on the legend pie.
Lol holy crap, not seconds before 8:10 I was literally thinking to myself: "when was it first acknowledged, when did it _become_ *_The Streak?"_* 😂
What one heck of a documentary of Undertaker streak story at his trademark arena Wrestlemania.
But 26-1 counts also the most, Goldberg, Drew Mcintyre were going to next as the 12th and 18th victims and Wrestlemania 33 was meant to John Cena then next year's 34th Wrestlemania Roman Reigns.
i love taker, my favourite childhood wrestler but also love lesnar, so didn't mind him ending the streak, at the time lesnar was the only one worthy of ending it
This is why Undertaker is the best wrestler ever
Another great video on wrestling history Andy👊
The greatest streak in wrestling, Where he put on some of the greatest wrestling matches of all time.
Undertaker was just to protected like Cena. I could never get into that goofy ass deadman shit. The biker version was atleast realistic
Taker n Austin will always be on WWE mount Rushmore other 2 spots cld always be debated in my opinion.
Undertaker vs triple h in hell in a cell with Shawn as ref is my favorite wrestlemania match
W
Taker vs Henry was actually pretty solid
Those repeat matches should've never happened, they take away from the "who's gonna be the new opponent for Taker this WM" vibe
Man i even remember hearing rumors that it had come out from behind the scenes that taker got injured and called the audible to hit another F5 and pin me so i can get to the Dr. Kinda thing and i wanted to believe that cause it made so much sense
Truly one of the best of all time.
Nostalgic 🔥
Undertaker you are a legend if you didn't miss them two wrestlemanias you could of been 23'0 but never mind your still awesome
One of them was after 30
nvm
@@dcrggreensheep aww right I see he missed wrestlemania 2000 and one in 1995 or 6 I think
Lesnar may have ended the streak but NOBODY has ever beaten the Undertaker up as bad as HHH did at WM27. Even after losses he has walked out, but that night he could not even stand. "You won the battle, I won the war."
🎮🎮🎮
Wrestle with Andy has an undefeated streak of uploading great content 🥰
Take a shot everytime he says something along the lines of "And it was at this point the streak started actually becoming a thing"
You're wrong about the wrestlemania 22 with Kurt Angle and and Shawn Michaels. Kurt Angle was in the main event, Eddie Guerrero's replacement with Vince. Kurt and Sean went at it at WrestleMania 21.
Taker vs Micheals at WM25 is the greatest match in history.
Change my mind.
Giant Gonzalez 👍🔥🔥🔥
7:24 People are hanged, pictures are hung.
hbk should’ve been the one to end undertaker’s streak, he wanted it the most and is the best fighter out of everyone
Incorrect
If I had ended the streak I would have done it at wrestlemania 28 with triple h because it made sense the history with triple h at mania 17 the epic trilogy of matches with Shawn Michaels at wrestle-mania 25,26 which ended in Michaels retiring and it would have the been the perfect point to end it….
Ohhhhhhhhhhh yesssssssss in Paul bearer voice
The Just say yes guy is so legendary
Undertaker " I'm going to make you rest in peace."
Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns laughing at the Undertaker and said " I beat you at WrestleMania."
Hulk Hogan, The Rock and Sting would be a great addition to Undertakers streak collection.
Undertaker was going to beat Brock but Vince change it just mins before the match
Terry wouldn't have allowed it.... Ego & all.
Angle vs HBK was at WM 21 in 2005, months before Eddie died. Angle was the WH champion at WM 22 and faced Orton and Mysterio. You should check your narrative.
I still remember as a kid i never liked taker winning any title...i always felt these title were not on par with his persona...his presence was more than any title...
Then you must have been happy they wasted his prime years from 1992-1996 caused he never won a single title in those years.
Another great video.
why the volume of your videos is always so low
"You're winning today." Wow, what a streak.
That's kind of the beauty of it though. Wrestling being pre-determined allowed it to go on for 21+ years by the booker's hand. Compare that to Ronda Rousey losing to Holly Holm, who then lost to Miesha Tate in her first defense, who then lost to Amanda Nunes in her first defense. So any momentum gained from being the first to beat Rousey was quickly diminished. Say what you want about Brock not needing to be the one to break Taker's streak, but they made him damn near unstoppable for the next couple years afterwards, something UFC and other "real" sports couldn't do.
Imagine hearing that for 21 years straight billy
Punk vs taker classic
Streak never should have ended
2 hours ago I had a seizure. Still have a headache. This brightens up my day!
Now this is a video I didn't know I needed
10 years since the death of The Streak.
It should’ve been Wyatt he could’ve built a career of the undertaker but I think they did him dirty he had the best gimmick of this new era
The dude with his eyes popping out when Undertaker lost, was planted there. It was all set up
I want one of the next 2k games to di a undertaker showcase mode
said streak might have been mentioned when The Deadman was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Sweet
The undertake win 🙌 Streak 21 - 0 Story 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Yea
Punk n tajers match to go 21 0 was epic n prob still a massive moment fir punk being takers last victim
Nice
First big fan man keep up the good work
Awesome video as always, and when are you able to upload years in review 2007?
The crazy thing is the streak match wasn't a thing til flair match is crazy
The END OF AN ERA match lived up to its name 🔥
Still a classic I could rewatch many times.
