I went to the Comic Con in the Netherlands. Much smaller than the American edition. What struck me is that the atmosphere was so great. I also see that in your video. The art community is such a warm, creative and wonderful community. Very inspiring! ❤

I used to be one of those artists in the artist alley, and I have to say, the energy in that room is the best! Of course over the years artist alleys have grown and there are more people promoting their work in those venues. I would love to jump back in and see what my work would do in that situation. I still remember how I felt being among my artistic peers.
Oh the dreaded self marketing! I struggle with it to this day! I am currently working on getting better with that, by having my own dedicated studio where I can do the work, as well as promote myself, either through CZcams, other platforms, or all encompass the whole bunch. But artist are not inherently business people, we have to learn that part of it.
Always do art for you, and not worry about what others think of your art. Art is subjective, and everyone will see your work differently.

I think you'd like The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander. They're inspired by the Mabinogion and have a lot of vivid imagery.

Stormlight Archive - Brandon Sanderson. Epic fantasy, with in credible world building. Stands alone as a series, but is part of a greater cosmere. If your're a fantasy fan, I'd say you already know it. In case you don't, there's my recommendation!

This happens in ALL areas of art. Artistsbare extremely ignorant about business. It's just the nature of art. We artists wouldn't care at all about money if it wasn't necessary to survive. Art is an anti capitalist concept and reality today in the world is capitalist.
That's why artists need to partner with sharks, with people that base their lifes around money. Heartless shallow void of humanity sharks with humane noble shy insecure artists. The perfect combo. I don't understand how there are no services about this for artists.
