Trent's use of moral equivalence (if it's wrong to do this, it's equally wrong to do that) lacks logical rigor in many respects. Indeed, making unwarranted broad generalizations is wrong, but if a significant group of people express a false judgment and pass that on to others, then as a group they can be rightly criticized for doing so. Case in point: the false and malicious claim promoted primarily but not exclusively by many Jews that Pope Pius XII in particular and the Catholic Church in general was immorally silent during the Holocaust. This charge is flat out wrong, and it has been debunked repeatedly over the years by honest historians who have pointed out the actions of the Pope and other Catholics behind the scenes to counter Hitler and save hundreds of thousands of Jewish lives. Yet this anti-Catholic myth and wrong judgment about the Pope's "silence" persists, and it is used as a cudgel against the Catholic Church by Jews and others.
Now, if as many Jewish adults as possible were interviewed who have a basic understanding of the history of the Holocaust, and let's say some 90% judge Pope Pius XII and the Catholic Church morally wrong for not speaking up as they believe should have been done, then it is morally just and NOT Anti-Semitic to claim that Jews en masse have wrongly and immorally judged both Pope Pius XII and the Catholic Church.
It should also be noted that in many articles, books, and so on written by Jewish historians and others, the false condemnation of Pope Pius XII and the Catholic Church in general regarding the Holocaust is fairly widespread without much if any pushback by Jewish leaders, etc. Why not? Because the vast majority have falsely judged Pius and the Church.
I may have to watch his video again, but I don’t think anything you said is in opposition to what he said. He stated that it isn’t wrong to criticize Jews for their beliefs, but when it evolves into violence it is wrong.

Actually yes it can be. If you were abandoned by your father (making you a bastard), and children surround you at the school yard and start chanting about how you are a bastard, then that is a sin. They are telling the truth, but are using it to taunt and jeer at someone they don't like.

Truth may be used as a cudgel, which is a cruel misuse of the truth, and we shouldn't allow the truth to be censored or banned on account because that would also be sinful (today it's "Christ is King", tomorrow Christ is outlawed all together).
Truth may, and has been used as a means of liberation, which is good and right.
But either way truth is only ever just the truth.

I was very disappointed with the Counsil of Trent's video on this. Ben Shapiro also made fun of our Lord when he went on to the Bill Marr Show and the Joe Rogan podcast.

Get it through your thick heads: if the truth is insulting, too bad. If a certain group feels offended by something you say which is not a direct attack on that group, too bad. Evolution is the current scientific standard… if you reject scientific standards you need to prove them wrong, not just reject them because of fringe theories. Honestly, Horn is overall great. He just made a mistake now, but everyone is imperfect. We must pray so he realizes his mistakes and grows from them.

You have said well. I would add that saying “Christ is King” is always and everywhere a good thing. Because it is the truth, and we are in a time of parsing and splitting, dividing… And he is the only one that can unite humanity. You don’t have to say the phrase vindictively, accusatively, defensively, you just have to say it simply with Love for God and man.

Isn't human respect a sin? I think the very idea of debating if one can or should say Christ is King is the sin of human respect because there shouldn't be a debate. The default and the only thing is that Christ is King and it's always appropriate to say this no matter who is offended.

God said, "love your neighbor as yourself" That is the essence of human respect. We owe respect also to our fathers, mothers, and community. All of this is scriptural. Please remember that it was the Samaritan (the outsider) who Jesus praised as loving his neighbor.

To address Trent's moral relativism, where he says to substitute Catholic for Jew, my original thought was to substitute "Nazism" and show the flaw in the logic. But, I also seem to recall a Trent Horn video where he speaks on using laws to outlaw satanism, so with the proper instruction he should be able to understand the position.

For example, we know that people born and raised at higher altitudes tend to have larger lungs - an adaptation to their environment. I don't buy the idea in evolutionary theory that we all came from one species. To say that humans evolved from a rat is a stretch to say the least. Micro evolution is observable. A good example is the big cats vs small cats. They are genetically linked to a common ancestor but to claim that big cats and humans come from a common ancestor and diverged at some point in the past (macro evolution) is unlikely. Apologies for my long address. Shall we begin with first principles? What do you understand evolution to be?

Context and evil acts have nothing to do with it - they are merely separate and should be judged as to whether they are hateful or antisemitic in terms of the intent, not the declaration of a statement of truth - I.e. what God said and, most importantly, what God is!
Saying CHRIST IS KING by non believers is vain, is like Saying the Sign "King of the Jews" on Christ Cross was vain because it was commanded by Pilate.

I dunno- when I first saw Owens “Christ is King” tweet it seemed liked taking the Lords name in vain in the context. I would NEVER say that as a snarky insult to someone in an argument even though I say it more than once every single day. I don’t even like DW but that’s how I felt reading the original tweet.
It is how they all use it. It is a phrase that was invented weaponized by nazi types. Those who repeat it while there are other perfectly authentic Christian terms to use that honour christ which are not weaponized, connected to nazis or white national politics, are literally nazi puppets.

That seems like an unfair characterization, and not very charitable.
What it boils down to I’m seeing this more and more.. is people are people pleasers Trent thinks by pleasing both sides he can save face but if he sticks by Christ is King he could potentially upset some people who follow him. I think a lot of apologists try to be politically correct instead of just speaking the truth blatantly and being unapologetic about it.

I think Trent Horn--who is truly an intellectual giant, and who has my sincerest admiration--is a convert from Judaism (though I could be mistaken about that). I wonder if that prejudices his response.
