- This is some footage that was taken from the recent MRPC yearling fly.
This is where club members compete against each other, flying their best 15-20 Birmingham rollers that were born the previous year and hoping that they roll well and roll together. Scores are given at the end of each fly and the winner is normally given a prize such as a trophy.
Was a great idea to record the yearling comp. Thanks for sharing and keep em rolling 🕊🎖🏆🏅
Thank you my friend, some more flys coming up soon so I’ll try to get more footage and share with all you guys.
It would be nice to have some commentary on the birds and what strains they are from . All the best from the land down under.
"Keep on Rollin Baby,,, you know what time it is" keep..rollin rollin rollin
Thank you for recording
Enjoy all kits
Congratulations well done
Thanks for sharing your recordings from your fly.
You’re welcome. Hopefully more fly videos coming soon.
What a great watch. May I ask. What was the rocket for. I'm a racing man but thoroughly enjoyed your video
Thank you for the feedback and I’m glad you enjoyed it. The rockets are normally used to scare away birds of prey but it was used to try and lift the birds this time and get them flying at a good height.
Always I love your video. How many hours continue flying..
I'm a knew subscriber and new to keeping rollers, I have a figuritas a few years. Can I ask, when you fly young birds twice a day do you feed a half ration when they come in the first time and the rest of the feed when they come in the second time, or just feed them full ration when their done. I love the videos great content
Hi Tony, thanks for the comment and support. When flying twice a day, I normally give them around a quarter of the ration after the first fly and the remainder of it in the afternoon after the second fly. I rarely fly them twice a day now due to work.
@@doublearollers thanks for the reply, I have a lot more time on my hands, I work three twelves and theres no better way to spend it than with the Pigeons
Nice video. Just wondering what sort of mix you feed your rollers?
Thank you. I use Versele Laga breed and wean for my breeders and the flying kits are currently on a mixture of wheat, barley and red dari.
Hey buddy hopefully next year I will be able to compete sweet video thanks for sharing
You’re welcome my friend and I wish you luck in your competitions.
@@doublearollers thank you. Tell Ole George Texas says hello
Top draw stuff. Love them pinning out. Hopefully no falcons.
Luckily there was no BOP’s on the day.
Full video of fly
Once kits is released and on the clock flyer can not do anything to keep kit air borne if does he is disqualified score wont count
Yep, you’re right. There was one moment when someone clapped but he was told it wasn’t allowed.
