The Kenmore version of this machine is arguably better since you can change the agitate/spin speed on any cycle, where this one's speeds are determined by the cycle which I find annoying because there isn't a cycle that only does the low speed agitation (as in the only delicate cycle is extra delicate with the extra low agitation speed or "hand washables" with intermittent extra low agitation), and I find 6 minutes isn't enough for a delicate cycle. Never was a fan of Kenmore's sideways opening lids though

What causes a spin slip? As in only happens once in a while? I had my transmission replaced on my whirlpool thin twin a few months ago because my neutral gear was completely stripped and so it never went into neutral. Since replacing it worked great but that happened to me once where it spin slipped. I Reset the cycle and it hasn’t happened since The new transmission causes a vibration/resonance especially on smaller loads which makes the machine louder and the certified technician said there is a one-year warranty on the whirlpool replacement part so he would change it out for free if I wanted so far like I said it’s working fine

I just bought a whirlpool gold ultimate Care to From a guy who refurbishes these. Mine is from 2003.
