You got me fired! You said not to try this at home so I tried it at work instead. Destroyed a $3000 printer and it scared one of my co-workers so bad she knocked over the water cooler which ran into the office below ours. My boss was so livid he left for the day, didn't even say anything. Security stopped me when I came in the next morning and told me I was no longer allowed in the building.
bro
Lol, that was a pretty imaginative story

You are being far more safe than we were in college. Many a fire alarms have been tripped by the random ball shell flashbang.
That just happened to me at a firework show
Lol he says "don't try this at home" but then says "this might be the way to do it from now on" lmao
Just for the snakes 😂
@@backyardfireworks 🤣🤣
Never thought I'd be watching upside down fireworks 🤣 . Cool.
😂
You should have put a ball shell upside down in an up right tube. That's a more common mistake with ball and especially canister shells.
Maybe I’ll make a second video with more common mistakes. Maybe I will make a safety video as well
@@backyardfireworks donaldlegg has a great idea, I've seen many people load the mortar upside down with the lifting charge facing upwards.
Yeah, a safety video would be helpful.
You could cover what kinds of lighters are best for windy conditions.
@@hkguitar1984 I definitely agree
@@backyardfireworks 👍😉
I actually came from Xbox CZcams app to make this comment.. I have done this once was partying on new years and put the shell in upside down.. the bang was extremely loud and the tube actually cracked it didn’t blow up or break but it has a crack in it..
Interesting but the whole time I was hoping you were going to put the shell upside down inside of a tube standing right side up (I think this may actually be the most likely mistake to happen anyway).
I’ve done that before. Bye bye tube
@@J_Bwn not always. I do that for my last BIG BOOM which it is but anyway. I was able to put 2 in upside down one 4th and the tube somehow held but 3rd shell obliterated the tube. I think it is much louder upside down. of course this was about when I was in my 20's. would I do it now? IDK, maybe
Been there
I've seen it happen. Most of the time it will still clear the tube and then detonate pretty much at ground level. I have also seen the tube explode
@@mikehobson711Can I ask why you do the last ones upside down!?
Your doing a great service, your showing what happens if you aren't careful with fireworks. I lost count of how many times you said not to do what your doing and you did it in a way that was safer than when most ppl would be using fireworks. I'm glad you posted this video, 👍
*warms hands over lit fireworks
Very informative. Thank's for the video.
When I light fireworks, usually just the fountain type, I alway's submerge them in water after use to prevent any possible relighting. I use long tongs.
Do not fire two mortars off in same tube. First mortar fires off and knocks tube over. Second one fires in any direction.
Those little boom boom ones hit hard very nice. I bought them before to play with.
"never try any of this at home"
Always do it in your backyard!
Agreed. I won´t blow up my Home with that.
Reminder: never touch again any fireworks that have never go boom. It might go when you touched it. Use some stick to poke them away or just leave alone for a very good amount of time
Like, one day?
Happy to see you back posting again.
I agree maybe try a 500g upside down and attached a long leader fuse to give you time to get away…
Oh gosh 😳
Might be a good educational video
But sit bricks on top otherwise it’s just gonna flip over or sideways and shoot every which way. Definitely no bueno.
I love this video, the excitement in your voice during these tests was contagious!
3:23 it could be designed like that! xD ha! That made me laugh!
I love your vids
Interesting video but I am glad you did this and happy to see you posting again.
Reminds me of me and my friends using a paper towel roll as a tube a couple years ago, it ended up being upside down and exploded in the middle of the road 😂
It blew my mind when the Saturn firework flipped itself with the first shot. That was seriously awesome.
Normally with mortars, it’s because they put the shell itself upside down not the tube 😂
Ya , that’s what usually happens , I don’t know of anybody actually putting the tube upside down ! People need to read the instructions on the device carefully!
Now try lighting a carton of 8" shells....upside down.
As a child I held a bottle rocket in my hand upside down and lit it. Mom was pissed I got blood all over the new white comforter she just bought. Oh yeah, I did it in my parents bedroom on their bed. Mom gave me an aspirin bandaged my hand and grounded me. She did eventually take me to the doctors the next day. Gotta love the 80's, lol.
holy shit🤣
I was 7 years old in 1976. Dad and my uncle were at a small school playground behind my uncle's house on July 4th. Fireworks? Who needs Fireworks when you have....12 gauge shotguns!!🤪 Dad let me pull the trigger while he had the stock socked in his shoulder. I don't remember if anyone called the cops, just remember what a huge deal it was firing weapons like that at such a young age.
8:25 "it feels like snow is in there or something"famous last words
Why were you in there 🤨💀
Kept on thinking of building a solid platform with a trackable adjustment to hold mostly cakes or artilleries shell shots so they stay sitting up even if looking like they can't.
this reminds me of my junior high days of mischief.
Backward Fireworks 😁
This video is only 2 months old and already is the most popular backyard fireworks video
Back when i was a kid our local fire department used to set the 4th of July fireworks off by hand. My father was on the fire department and we were watching them set them off. One of the mortars exploded about 3 feet out of the tube. Huge green explosion. Now the city hires an actual firework company to do the display on the 4th.
1:10 nothings gonna catch on fire today, 20 seconds later: the snakes box burns
Last year a friend of mine was like „I’ll set this one off under the balcony, it’ll create a nice bang“ it was a salute and now our balcony has a hole 😂
My friend was having a firework party on November 5th ( English celebration of the day Parliament didn’t get blown up) and the finale was this $100 star shell. Everyone was drunk, including my friend when they set it off, unknowingly upsidedown. The police arrived to find a garden full of temporarily deaf people, some with minor burns and burn holes in their clothes, and a five-foot crater in the lawn.
That was really informative. Thanks bro bro
The tube is a funstopper. The mortars are much better when put on the ground and lit. And don't waste the roman candles or bottle rockets unless you have a friend with whom you can battle.
Yaaaaaaa love this
'Almost done smoking entirely' = not done smoking = still combusting
I live in Australia, where you are not allowed to buy fireworks (other than in the Australian Capital Territory and Northern Territory). We were holidaying in Hawaii and happened to be in Hilo for the Fourth of July. I was very tempted to buy a giant box of fireworks at a supermarket but my kids played the role of the responsible adult and talked me out of it.
Where do you got ur Lighter?
Omg, brings me back to my teen years. I remember one halloween, we got a bunch of "air bombs" pretty similar to those "smoke blooms", they fit perfectly in the old glass Snapple bottles and kinda become a half-ass grenade😂 fun until the cops came
I've got all the saftey precautions...i.e. I'm home and it's icey and snowy. 😂😂😂
Fire extinguisher and 100 gallon barrel 👍
Bro let his intrusive thought win
Oh, come on, you did that for fun !

What you should never ever ever do is put the shell upside down in the tube. It's definitely loud and will blow the tube to pieces. It definitely will hit your neighbors house and put burn holes in their siding. I would definitely recommend using a metal tube mounted to a base if one was so inclined to attempt to light a shell upside down, which I do not recommend at all because it is loud and spectacular(ly dangerous).
We used to call those cardboard grenades in high school lol
We had a shell go off in the tube once it was just loud and sent sparks flying in to the air, the tube was fine.
Great video to teach people how to use fireworks properly .I just subscribed
You know what is really fun…
Putting the mortars in the tube upside down…
They pop up about 10 feet then explode ..
It’s a very good way to startle your guests…😬🤫🤫😂
I once taped 2 bottle rockets together pointing in opposite directions, lit the upright one first then the other one. When they went off, they went up at an angle then the other one went off making it reverse suddenly, they landed in the yard about 200 feet away and lit the grass on fire.
Try putting a mortar firework upside down and leave the tube right side up then light it. Or put two mortars on top of each other and light them. I should clarify the mortars are the ones that explode in the sky with cool patterns. Try having one of those explode around you. My uncle is a moron.
Awesome
How can someone light a firework upside down?
"hey! hold my beer!!!"
“Do not try this at home!” Does it at home 😂
Should have tried that with a 6-inch canister shell upside down
Him: fireworks is cake and cake is fireworks😂
Thank you for testing!
Thank you for posting this video for years I been lighting all my fireworks the wrong way and my wife would always tell me these fireworks you get are duds …
That upside down spider should be a butt it would a give a whole new meaning to the term "Explosive Diarrhea" 🤣
Lmfao my dubass holds artillery tubes like they're Roman candles
Bruh you playing with fire😂
Put a Roman candle in a snowman n snowman will glow, very cool to do,
Yea I did that and my house blew up
@@LebronFan216 can confirm I was the snow man
I bet that would be very cool!
I was at a Independence Day party 1 year & a person let their daughter that was like 8 or 9 light some fireworks even after she burned a couple fingers with a sparkler & lit her sleeve on fire. The last straw was when she grabbed a mortar & lit it upside down on a cinder block. It blew the block to pieces & caused everyone there to run. People with small kids DO NOT LET THEM LIGHT FIREWORKS.... luckily no one was hurt but it could've been way worse.
Yes... a firework that poops when you light it on fire.. love it
Saturn missiles have loose powder in each tube which is supposed to shoot the missiles out and when it's upside down the fuse doesn't ignite the powder. With it on its side, it is more likely to work as intended.
Interesting, thanks for sharing
Some fireworks back when I was a kid, you could squeeze the middle with a pair of pliers, and they would explode like an M80. It was pretty cool 😎!!
That’s real safety right there
next were going to try them inside my moms kitchen. wow.
This the ultimate scientific demonstration of “What if?”
Alt title: blowing ma fuckin house up.
Wrap them in strong fibreglass tape too!😂
Pretty sure the Saturns didn't light because all of the grains of flash powder fell down into the missile where the fuse couldn't touch it.
"Don't try this at home"
Two seconds later
"Wow that's so awesome, this may be the new way to light this" 😂😂😂
My Brother and I used to take our fireworks to a frozen lake and launch them through a hole in the ice underwater. Really cool effects.
Also there used to be a long abandoned railroad bridge where we'd light artillery shell fuses, let the fuse burn down in our hands, then throw it under the bridge. REALLY awesome
That sounds like fun!
I remember one time at New Year, when I with my mates started screwing around with firecrackers, which we lit up, threw into glass bottles and for safety reasons threw into drainage ditches on the side of a road.
We call those "lightbulbs" - a bit of light and then blowup.
New Drinking game; Take a shot every time you hear the words: Wow or Cool
this is interesting. idc about anyones opinion but this is interesting
2:45: I, too, shoot flaming balls!
I hope you have a good day to man.
Do a video where you light the fire works on its side! 😁
That was so cool
Thanks!
This is what I actually wanted to see
the double break canister where did the canister go lol that was neat
Congratulations, you've encouraged lots of people to now light fireworks upside-down. The daylight really subtracted from this experiment, you moved too far away, and I get tired of being told to not try this yourself/at home etc. I always think for myself & make my own decisions. The roman candle balls travelling under the snow looked very cool. I wonder what it's like firing them into water?
Never thought of that before lol
I won't try this at home. I will do it at my neighbors home. 🤣 🤣
"Do not, absolutely, do not try this at home"
Proceeds to try this at home.
You dont put the tube upside-down, you gotta stick the shell upside-down in the tube 😂
thank you for this lol. funny i youtubed this after a few glasses of wine and found a video titled what i wanted . i am not wanting to go spend $ on more .308 ammo . i just like big boom
I am going to try all of this at home.
I lit a ball shell upside down and it was a 4 shot, so we were all jumping around and it looked as though we were dancing on the fireworks. This was back when I was younger.
Me and my cousin on the 4th lit some red and green single shots upside down in a Excalibur tube they sounded awesome lol
Oh gosh 😳😳
When I was younger we use to take those mortar shell fireworks you drop in the tube and just light the shells in our hands and throw them at each other 😂
Dumb ways to die 💀
Bro said nothing will happen next thing you know a fire😂
I have that exact same orange torch
Man lives his live on the edge
Wow, look at that smoke!
After he lit the snake upside down and the Snakes got longer it started to look like the alien things from the movie 'war of the world's.
What happens if you put the shell upside when the tube is down ward, would it have enough power to lift the tube
I wonder what would happen if the barrel was obstructed? Either nothing or a BIG BOOM
I have all the safety precautions..aka winter haha. Yeah I'm certified too man.
We need a action pack movie I know it's kind of a year now 😂😂😂
