In my 67 years I have witnessed many great female vocalists. Floor Jansen ranks with the best of them all. She deserves to be an international mega star.

The best way I know to describe what Floors voice does is, it resonates in a place deep inside my body and soul.
It's a "divine" voice. I think I heard someone call it divine and that's the best word I've heard yet to describe her voice.
That is our Goddess Floor, she is the best I ever heard, and I am old. She can hit the highest high notes, lowest low notes, she can do operatic, go metal on you and ever do growls.
My Queen of high belting notes. The second belting Queen for me is Brittney Slayes from Unleash the archers. Both ladies has powerful voices and they can climb very high with it.
Our Floor has always the full control of her voice, and that's why she so easily reaches our souls. It's her tool of storytelling, not by means of impress us. On her channel we can get closer to her than any other "star". And it's wonderful. ⛄❄👍

Very true. Few "musicians" can hold their own today. Prince and RUSH were two of the best. Floor/Nightwish are the only good thing the Corona Virus has caused me to find.

The one and only Floor Jansen!
Floor is an empath, she has to feel the song to sing it, and then she make it her own and the story telling starts. Floor can sing anything she wants in any styles she wants, combining from opera to metal - her ability and hardwork to earn the skills she possesses allow to do anything, and now back to the beginning of my tell, as long as she feels the song.
She’s without question the most emotional vocalist I’ve ever heard. She reduces many to tears she’s so good. Just a tip it’s pronounced Yansen

I liked your description that you melt when Floor sings. I think most os us are like that. it took me about 5 song to realize that I might be listening to one of the two or three best singers I had ever heard. By the end of the Wacken concert I was convinced that she was the best that I had ever heard. I have never heard anyone that makes me "melt" every time I hear her voice. love your reactions.
Floor is THE best all around voice I have ever heard. That's subjective, I know. But I have never heard a singer capable of opera quality singing then roar metal growls. Who does that? Who can do that? Floor, that's who.
We all just feel so much better each time we see and hear Floor.
"She has something in her voice..." yes, it just speaks to your soul, your heart, your emotions.
she is by far one of the most versatile singers out there and this absolutely beautiful cover is a banger and if no one has suggested it this has that hit written all over it but with everything that this very accomplished woman touches and her presence comes into contact with turns to gold ladies & gentlemen and and the fact that there are other female singers right now that are all the bright shining stars because what they bring to music is top tier something pop stars can't match cause they have a ceiling and don't want to challenge it and don't want o be challenged this particular singer who is very famous for being able to cross genres effortlessly and not catch a flack for it. We all know or at least the lion's share of us anyway know what the voice of hers can do and with that kind of range and raw power thats like spiritual stuff that the level of confidence that this woman has thats like the presence of the lord or something. And its definitely powerful

My favorite band use to be Iron maiden and in some ways still is. But Nightwish has taken me to emotional highs i've never felt before and is so full of Poetry and skill i can't look back.
Change is good. But don't be impatient waiting for a better singer than Floor, lol.
It seems so effortless for Floor. It's as if the voice is always there, and she just opens her mouth and releases it. Of course, this is the result of years of dedication, practice and exercise. And that first note, gets me, every time. It's just a note, but it still gets me. This is her best cover yet, imo. Her voice, Hannes's arrangement and playing, the production, all perfect.
My fav Metal concerts? Nightwish, live Wacken 2013, Wembley, Buenos Aires 2018. Rammstein live in Paris ...forget, very great reaction. Thank you 🤗

I've been in few concerts in my time, favorites are 2005 Nightwish concert in Helsinki, Tarja's last show on NW. Also they had a Nightwish tour on a cruise ship, Baltic Princess it was most fun since the band member's were with us in that ship for the hole trip. We got to talk to them if they walked somewhere in ship. It was a fans point of view the best treat ever. But Wembley had the best atmosphere of all those. I just hope that NY concert will happen, I have ticket to that and many reactors are going there too. It would be amazing to meet them.

Love the reaction, most enjoyable, thank you Schnell. All of Floor's Beste Zangers 2019 performances are incredible. All are covers and specifically sung for other individuals on the show, some of which are the original writers of those covers. Her performance of 'Shallow' and 'Phantom of the Opera' with Henk Poort are nothing short of stunning. Please also record reactions for ANY other Nightwish songs you plan to listen to if possible, we all love to share people's discovery of this amazing band, and as you will find out, they have many different sounding stories to tell. I think we need science working on what it is about Floor’s voice that slays us every time. There are lots of singers that sound great, but less than a handful that I’ve heard in my 66 years that immediately touch the soul.

@@davemadman7093 it truly was a lifetime ago but what a concert!! Palmer came off stage at the break and I sat behind the stage. he saw me sipping a bottle, asked for it, walked to the front of the stage and took a gulp. The crowd roared and he walked back and handed me the bottle. My buddies saw the exchange from the nosebleed seats at Madison Square Garden and for one night I was the hero!!

My favourite metal concert was (surprise surprise) Nightwish with the Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen singing.
So I checked your Shallow cover reaction, and there you wanted more her covers/songs. How about Agape? There you see true ability and smoking good runs. Floor truly brings it in that song. Love that one to pieces.

Hello from the Netherlands Schnell, My first metal one was Black Sabbath in 1971 and the last one in 1991 the Monster Of Rock Tour with AC/DC, Metallica, Queensryche, Black Crowes, between and after many other concerts with Pink Floyd, Tina Turner, Donna Summer, Status Quo and many other artists and the last i see was in 2009 with a dutch band the Golden Earring. I absolutely love all Floor songs and also Nightwish songs and they all have a deep impact on me. But when I watched this oen for the very first time, my mouth fell open and I seriously had tears in my eyes.. That only happens occasionally when I hear something for the first time. But dang it Floor, you did it again ;)

Floor and Mori, i'm still unsure what they could sing together, but i want to see it happen. They are somehow so similiar in many ways even if they sing totally different songs / style. But its like Ying and Yang 🤩

Floor has total mastery of her instrument and she delivers such nuance that it's no wonder you're speechless. Haley, one of your favorite vocalist, but she affects in a different way. For me I've loved Haley's vocals for 3 times longer than Floor so when asked I say Haley but don't get me wrong, I don't miss a thing Floor is releasing as a soloist. Can't wait for her album next year. One song in particular highlights the nuanced deliver from a live concert in the fall of 2021 called Slow Love Slow - so different in moods but just killer.

To answer your question... I think, the last concert I have seen was the best till now, it was Floor Jansen solo in her concertrange after she had been in the Dutch televisionprogramme teh Beste Zangers. I saw the concert in Groningen (January, 2020) and it was great. There is still one to come that will be recorded. So I guess you have to wait for that recording on CZcams to react to Sweet Curse with Henk Poort.
But also Nightwish (Amsterdam 2019) and After Forever (Floor's first band (Groningen, 2007) were great shows.
Very special to me is also my very first concert at the age of 15, Golden Earring in 1980. And I like to mention Marillion (Rotterdam, 1987), Bruce Springsteen (Rotterdam, 1988) and Eric Clapton (Den Haag, 1990)

Floor is like standing next to a Sun while being a lowly planet. Massive gravity well of true talent.
Luv also the angelic version of Susanne, Floor is more powerful, but both versions are great.

My favourite concert most recently was Devin Townsend who played at the Phoenix in Toronto Feb last year. If you haven't heard his stuff you should check him out. Kingdom or Deadhead are great ones to start with.

OVLIVION is also a great movie, starring Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman. Even if you are not a SciFi fan, the stunning visuals of the volcanic area of Iceland, where it was filmed, a great story, and of course the sound track, makes this a great movie for an HD big screen.

Hi Schnell! You have to visit Finland then, and come during summer time, I can take you and your husband to visit Nightwish's hometown Kitee and show their NW museum. And if you have good luck you maybe meet some of the band members there as well. Tuomas was there when they had just opened the museum. And trip should be timed so that they have a gig in Finland in same week or so. That would be one trip you and your husband would never forget.
There's a Nightwish museum? 0.0 Ok, I know another place I want to visit when it's possible to travel again (and indeed preferably when they have a gig around that same time)!

When I listen to Floor, I believe in the story of the Sirens who lured sailors to their death because of their singing
1975, I was 15y my first consert without parents. Scandinavium Arena, 12k, Status Quo 180min set my brain popped!🤯🤯🤯 and the were a boggey bluseband. And i realized that what more is there. pressiur existed with Manfred man, Sweet, Rush, Slade and the materclass o Pink Floyd, Led Z, DP and Sabbath , the god of them all....hej there poeple 'almost' Bobby brown, Zappa (1).

My favorite has to be Megadeth abt 4 yrs ago...funny thing, Tesseract and Mashuggah opened for them and I fell in love with Tesseract, they were actually the highlight for me of that whole show!
