Well, i have build it about 4 years ago, and i still have it. But in that time i have change almost everything. First i have made 3 link live rear axle on leaf springs (that coast me a lot of patience to moke it work well), i made it much longer (about 10 studs), 1 stud wider, its lightest, i've simplified motor frame, and install 1 XL instead of 2 L, and i have rebuild sterring system. Battery goes to the back for better weight distribution, and i have install 56x30 R tire, because they have better grip. Im still working on front live axle. Its turn out, that its very hard in such small model, i have made about 4 diffrent axles, and all were rubbish. But im not giving up, i already have Mk.5 prototype, and i hope that this time it will work well. From Yours original model i leave only front frame, witch sterring motor is mounted to. So it come a long way, and its still not end :D
Haha nice tuning xD Yeah I think you can build it much better especially with all the new lego parts and using the smaller batteriebox or a 9V block batterie would improve so much in this vehicle ;)
So I build it a while back and made some small improvements as well, I added a XL motor for drive a small battery box and left the steering (it works wonderful in my truck) now the video I made a while back was just at the beginning of things (if you want to check it out its the only video on my channel skip to 1 minute for some driving clips) later on I made lots of visual improvements (in my opinion) but by now its probably no longer a real trial truck because of its increased weight but if I only do light offroading it works perfectly fine I have some pictures on my Flickr Account: www.flickr.com/photos/143841769@N08/sets/72157669353727605
Yes for normal driving... But this is a trial truck, lego trial trucks doesn't have differentials because they would make it impossible for the truck to drive if one wheel didn't have contact with the ground. This is used in real life too. In some ofroad vechiles you have something called a differential lock. This makes you capabel of having good traction on both roads and ofroad. But as these trial trucks never have to drive on a normal surface with a lot of grip differential aren't necesary.
@TheNone724 after I made this instructions, I build one with xl-motor. the truck with xl-motor realy sucks. it had the same maximal speed but 2m motors have more torque than one xl motor. the truck with 2 m-motor works much better
@990424hugoooo4990424 yes. thats normal if you try it on carpet. the steering work only if you drive. But in mud and sand the steering always works. if you stand or drive, do not care (in mud and sand). If you should have any questions ask me and say if the truck works.
It is a very good and nice model but with differential and better steering it was be better (sorry for a possible mistakes, I am not from great britain) :)
@legodude64100 yes. But than the construction is much bigger. If you want to build it buy this peaces at bricklink or ebay. I get my from kleine-schatztruhe net.
FINALLY someone who doesn't uses XL motors, idon't have them so thanx A LOT!!!!
Finally something without a differential. I dont have to improvise any more. Nice truck😊
Thank you for the instructions, really appreciate it.
This is great! I made my own, but put a worm gear in the steering mechanism so it turns slower. Also made my own cab.
This is awesome! So compact and drives well actually :)
+DesignJunkie58
Yeah Thanks :)
So simple! I've been over thinking 4wd the whole time!

Such a good build! I used 2 L moters instead
very cool. I have 2 xl motors in it so now it is very very strong
I m building it, but on my own mechanics and design.
I think this is the best size to building it, and all that (the size of wheels) great!
Thanks so much! I'm missing a few key pieces, but I'll try to build it!
Nice steering system :) I think I'll build something similar!
Really cool
Cool !
Lomtafix- is it high torque all the time or are there things it cant get through
So I build it a while back and made some small improvements as well, I added a XL motor for drive a small battery box and left the steering (it works wonderful in my truck) now the video I made a while back was just at the beginning of things (if you want to check it out its the only video on my channel skip to 1 minute for some driving clips) later on I made lots of visual improvements (in my opinion) but by now its probably no longer a real trial truck because of its increased weight but if I only do light offroading it works perfectly fine I have some pictures on my Flickr Account: www.flickr.com/photos/143841769@N08/sets/72157669353727605
Yeah I realy like the bodywork :)
Well i build my own, do doem mods and its preety funny rc little car. Of course i put link to your movie in the description of my video.
@megatrain123
did you build it?

I've build this. its very cool :)
@maik00979
yes. but it works better with m motors. I tried it, too.
Can I use one big Motor?
@timiestyle
could you send it to me, if you´re finish?
thx
Yes it is. Have you seen the normal sized lego trial trucks? They are four time bigger than these.
suspention?
it´s powerfull...
@legodude64100
did you build my truck?
Ich hab es auch gebaut aber mit neuer Kabine und langsamerer Lenkung. Die Anleitung ist sehr gut. Ich hoffe dir gefällt meine Version. (Videoantwort)

@technicdesigner
can you show mw?
@990424hugoooo4990424

I build e version with an xl motor to steer, for a friend. it´s possible but difficult to handle. the xl motor have to much power
yes ...
@legodude64100
yes. But than the construction is much bigger. If you want to build it buy this peaces at bricklink or ebay. I get my from kleine-schatztruhe net.
@Zblj1987
yes. I "stole" the principe of the front axle from your mini trial truck.
the rest is a self construktion.
thx... think it´s my popularst vid :D
xl-motors have bigger torgue if the gear ratio is same.
100% Homemade. It´s my invention^^
cool Truck, but Imo, you missed a frontsuspension!
why you used two m-motors
xl-motor has bigger torgue
@lomtafix I will make a video and post it of my version
The steering is teribol i used XL moter then it worked better
I've built this model then I made it smaller and smaller and smaller! it's insanely small!!
Make a video ;)
lomtafix this time I destroyed it and made it wider. I could make a video if you want?
Sorry I destroyed it I was breaking way to many universal joints on it.
The steering will probably get messed up without a differential
there was no space for a front suspension and I had no god idea for a real small one
I put in two L motors and one servo motor instead
lomtafix true I'm glad they made those
ich fühl mich ja schon schuldig :P
instead 3 L put 2 xl ansd all is cool
@adamkalvaster make a video :)
@legodude64100
look at bricklinkcom. there you can buy all peaces you need.
@lewis9968
the truck is to find here: bricktrucktrial . com
minnnnnnnnnni trial truck
people are so nice (some not) o well
Grrr. The gears to drive and the gray thing I don't have
@990424hugoooo4990424
try it again. the steering musst work. the instructions are 100% right. 1 had tested it.
69 likes....I just made it 70 likes
super but the stering sustem is bad :(
somemaone already fixed this problem ;) search for a rebuild of my truck and you will find a solution.
lomtafix Agreed
this looked good till i built it . its very weak and comes apart under normal operation . nice try but i think you need to work on your design .
@jack6660103
gearboxes are bad. you don´t mjusst du build it. that make no sense
but it is not mini
