    Thanks to Trans Am & CBS for this post! I don't get & won't get the CBS Sports channel anytime soon, so I LOVE THIS!

    Glad everyone walked away from that, but wth Paul? A local yellow does not mean it's ok to blindly pull onto the track like that. The way the sun was in oncoming driver's eyes I doubt they even saw a waving yellow flag. I think a punitive redress is in order for Paul's maneuver!

      Unfortunately, I do not think they will do anything about the situation. A little something you should know, on the last lap of the TA2 race here at Mid-Ohio, Adam Andretti was spun out by Justin Haley. He filed a complaint to the series, and they did nothing about it. Adam has parted ways with the series, and now plans to commit to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series.

      That is why I think Paul is off the hook. Well, I personally think there is no hook to begin with, when it comes to authority in the Trans Am Series.

      Hmmm, that's a shame. Best of luck for Adam...

    Paul drove this race like it was his first smh he spins after contact in the keyhole after the guy was way and clearly inside and then to just pull out was just dumb and then to get out the car and act like it was other guys fault smh

      I am still DUMBFOUNDED at what I just saw, I know this is an old video, but it just popped up for me during my workout and I really enjoyed TransAm back in the day.
      Wow man, just wow. This race was FULL of events, that was strange, but pulling onto the track like that took the cake for me especially when he tried to blame the other driver. What a wild finish...

    Nothing personal BUT... Are you kidding me Paul Fix? Jeeezz. I just saw all there TA drivers at Laguna Seca 2019 - my 50th anniversary since my first TA race & they were all super friendly EXCEPT... Amy R.... actually received several nasty looks from her at her pit spot.....whatever... her mechanics were nice to me but she appeared very unfriendly imho...

    The announcers have no idea what happened to Kleeman... The Corvette blew an engine and put oil all over the racing line. Cars were sliding all over the place through 4, 5, and 6 until they finally threw the caution after Kleeman smacked the wall from getting into the oil.

    • @bigcracer
      @bigcracer Před 7 lety +1

      Yeah, I was the crew chief for Cliff Ebben, and was standing on what would be "Grandstand 2," on driver's left, just before Turn 4. Mel Shaw is an idiot. He completely blew up, then drove all the way around the track! Cars were all locking up and sliding, and I had to scream to Cliff that there was oil down.

    Thank you for the replay.
    1) stop with the Amy rub stuff. She a good driver, but that was mostly on her.
    2) that Fix yelled at anyone is unbelievable. Unsafe entry is ALWAYS on the driver.
    3) comments about the volunteer flag crew. Waving Yellow is the proper reaction. The race was in progress. It’s not on them to physically hold back a driver acting the fool. Fix took himself out, and destroyed another teams car in the process. I’m sure he apologized. Oh, forgot, he got in the other drivers face.

    “The yellow flag was out”! So what, you are responsible to enter the track safely. You had enough practice getting back on track! Fix should be banned for stupidity

  • @JB91710

    17:35 Blind corner and a car trying to get straightened out. Three corner workers standing there doing nothing. Not signaling him that the track is clear to turn around. Zombies! "Look at me I'm a corner worker", but no performance. He was on his own to reenter.

    • @konekillerking
      @konekillerking Před 4 měsíci

      Unless you work SCAA corners, don’t comment on their response.
      The situation was fully on Paul Fix. Driver is fully responsible for re entering the track. Waving yellow was present, but Fix enter on a blind curve and blocked over half of the track. Including the apex section.
      Go to Mid Ohio and see the sight lines for yourself. Don’t blame the volunteers, it was the “ professional “ that caused the situation.

      @@konekillerking Been there, done that. I was one of the best with a strong work ethic. If there was a bad sight line, there should have been accommodations made. Don't you think?

    Paul needs his jaw adjusted for such a bonehead move. Drives counter race direction, pulls across and blocks the entire track and puts his and another drivers life in danger, and then acts like it was the other drivers fault. They should pull his license for such a lack of intelligence. Hell, that was at least his third incident on the day.

  • @patriciapeterson3644
    @patriciapeterson3644 Před 6 lety

    Paul Fix should be suspended for that bullshit move .........No regard for the racing line and other drivers life's right there .....
