    Summary:
Keira Knightley - She was a dyslexia patient, who had trouble reading. She could not even go through one page in a book. But as she was drawn to acting, her mother took advantage of it and told Keira that she would only be allowed to act if she studied everyday. She studied even during holidays and kept her grades up.
Michael Phelps - He was diagnosed with ADHD when he was in fifth grade. He realized that medicine had its side-effects. So, he stopped taking it and used swimming as a means to help him focus.
Whoopi Goldberg - She was called "dumb" in school by her teachers and fellow classmates. Her dyslexia made it hard for her to excel in studies and the constant bullying did not help either. A few decades later, she is one of the few celebrities to win a Tony Award, an Oscar, a Grammy, and an Emmy.
Keanu Reeves - He had dyslexia and found it hard to learn throughout his school. Additionally, the fact that his parents separated and his family moved around a lot before settling down in Toronto, didn't help his case. Although his habit of pretending helped him in his acting career.
Emma Watson - She was diagnosed with ADHD as a child. Hence, she found it hard to concentrate in class. But, when you are gutsy even mountains will bow to you. Emma went on to star in movies such as Noah, Little Women, and the Harry Potter series.
What's more? She completed her degree in English from Brown University and is now a United Nations Ambassador.
Daniel Radcliffe - He had a mild case of Dyspraxia. It is a neurological disorder that affects the development of motor skills. This means he has trouble doing simple things such as tying shoelaces.

I too had been diagnosed with ADHD when I was in 3rd grade.. I had a really hard time to learn academics no matter how hard I tried. As I did lack in those I did not lack in any of the creative side. I am good in writing, painting, singing and even dancing. It was just recently when I decided to go back to college and pursue a degree in Arts majoring in Communication Arts. I felt like it was revealed to me long time ago that communicating was my gift but I simply ignored it and took different paths. I felt discouraged many times because of how I think ADHD affect me. However, I now realized I can actually train myself to work in stressful situations without giving up.

Thanks for sharing. And a big thank you to all the famous people that shared their school struggles. Stories help others. We are a Creative Audio Visual Thinking family this world calls Dyslexic (Disabled). I would like parents and children to know that on the NHS Healthcare website it states that DYSLEXICS ARE CREATIVE PROBLEMS SOLVERS. If I - a Dyslexic Mum - can turn our creative (Dyslexic) daughter into a BOOKWORM by making reading fun, not stressful. Then anyone can do it. I did this when State Education failed to teach our daughter the basics: Reading, Writing and Spelling! Never let a child believe they are stupid or worthless. Being different is a GIFT! Use it well!

Dyslexia is a learning disability, and the most common one at that. It is diagnosed as "Specific learning disorder in reading". The terms "learning disability" and "learning disorder" are used interchangeably. "Learning difference" is just a term that is used when speaking to children to not make them feel discouraged by being labeled as "disordered" or "disabled".

I always need to be moving
    😂
I am also horrible at math
It just doesn’t make sense to me
But I love history and language arts
    Also my brain moves fast
    And I learn quick
And I have to learn in a certain way
Or else I won’t learn the material
    I don’t learn by reading
    I learn through song 😂
