There has been a “Gromit Unleashed Shop” in Bristol’s Cribbscauseway since at least 2013. It had the same products shown in the video, the ability for people to take photos next to some statues, and a kids activity area.
The one which you said @10:55 opened in July 2022 was the same store just relocating to a larger location inside the mall. Moving from from the first floor to the ground floor.
Yeah I gathered there'd been some kind of shop since the beginning. Looking online all I could find was evidence of the supposed "grand opening" last year, which seems to be in reference to the revamped shop as you say.

i had a lion equivalent in Paisley, Scotland for the same reason.
There's been a few with animals such as Gorillas beforehand, which is what inspired it I believe.

What I didn't like about Gromit Unleashed was how strong Wallace's secret apprentice was. Way too overpowered.

I do vaguely remember the Shaun one being mentioned and I definitely knew about the second Gromit one due to the Yogscast having one of the statues.
Didn't know about the shop either. Might have to pop down to Bristol and have a look round when I've got a bit of spare cash.

Quite surprised a gromit statue weren’t placed in Wigan as that’s where Wallace and gromit was set.
I went to the Gromit Unleashed shop for the first time last week just when they released the special edition Wallace statue as a tribute to Peter Sallis, which I couldn't help but buy... A video on that would be great if you were interested! (Just discovered your great videos)

Not sure if someone's mention this already, but here in Cincinnati Ohio, USA, they did something similar called "The Big Pig Gig" they even published a book! Now you can find various flying pigs and regular pigs throughout the city. My favorite one is "ShazHam" which last I checked was in someone's backyard in Loveland, Ohio. 😂

In Georgia America there’s a place called Athens which has the same thing but with bulldog statues that painted in all kinds of different ways
Rhode Island had the same thing with Cows you can still find them in some places of business.
I can see them doing new characters and then they have Wallace and Gromit in the background or they have a shop selling droids and other tech
I remember going to the first exhibition in Cribbs Causeway. The queue was over 4 hours long
If I recall correctly, Paddington Bear did the same thing, too. Back in 2014 for the then-upcoming movie.
If I had the chance to design a Gromit he would have been more like the classic but as if he went punk rock/early punk style new wave look with eye shadow and a black collar.

I live in St. Louis, Missouri and in 2013-2014 (I was 11 at the time), the city did something similar to Gromit Unleashed called “Cakeway to the West”, in which 250 painted 4ft fiberglass cakes were placed around the city, mainly by famous or historic landmarks, restaurants, and hiking trails to celebrate St. Louis’s 250th anniversary. My middle school’s librarian started an art/nature/travel club in which we went on multiple trips around St. Louis to find and get pictures of us by as many cakes as we could.
Most of the cakes were auctioned off, but I don’t think any the money went to any charities. St. Louis has a lot of affluent areas inhabited by stingy, conservative millionaires that probably don’t give a shit about donating to ill children.
Oh well, interesting to hear nonetheless!
They did a similar sort of thing near my area, except they put rocket statues around town instead of Gromit statues. ✌️☺️

I remember being pretty young and going with my mum and aunt to Bristol with my iPhone 4 to find Shaun, I’m not sure why (probably because I didn’t have the app because of my age and my mum having it) but we just took a photo of each one. Considering it was an iPhone 4 I don’t know how good the quality would have been 😂

Weird little bit here (I'm a huge train fan) but at 1:25 you can see some reslly old train carriages, meaning that theres just a special train sitting there and the Bristol Harbour Railway ay 5:10
