I started my first blind playthrough of the Kingdom Hearts series i intend to play them all.

Always fun to see another start the journey.
The end of the world is one of my favorite end worlds in kh, just the atmosphere, the color. The world terminus was a bit annoying but visuals wise it was fun. Most end game world's are super dope if not repetitive at times.
And you made it, congrats on beating the game. If you ever play through kh1 again idk if anyone told you but you can change what attacks and magic to have them attack more as a group, or go to other enemies, heal more frequently or less, attack more or less. And you can press triangle to make them come to you if not locked onto an enemy and if locked on to an enemy they'll attack the enemy if they aren't already.
That last room before the last save point was a nice treat to watch, it's always fun seeing how others see an almost never ending fight, let alone the 7+ phase end game (depending how you divide it up). *typed that last sentence bit before you said "how many phases we're at least on 7"*😭My cousin used to be able to beat the final boss in less than 5 minutes, definitely a big reason as to why I love this game so much. End game can be brutal 🙌🏻but you did it. There is a breakdown of the boss phases that makes it a bit more digestible when going through, as some phases are just get Donald and goofy out of the ark dark portals, destroy the ship Ansem is resting on, etc but you did it nonetheless!
As far as it being a kids game it really honestly wasn't imo, sure it had Disney stuff but most kids probably didn't have the skill to beat end game even after Riku-ansem in hollow bastion before sora stabbys himself. That and the overall themes of each kingdom hearts game got deep, lore wise and just plot wise. It gets harrowing, mysterious, joyous, painful, exciting, thrilling, twisted, confusing, and so many more feelings and thoughts that you'll unravel as you make your way through each entry. It'll be like a puzzle that will always have holes but still able to see what it looks like after a few games.

Yeah i did change Goofy's and Donald's move sets a little bit so donald would heal more frequently but unfortunately it didn't help me much 😂. yeah i don't think i have ever done a as long a boss fight than this before in any game from what i can remember. but overall i did enjoy the End of the world level and how it looked.
@@StringoYT I'm glad you had a good time even if it got frustrating at times, up next one of the most polarized game in the series! Some love it, others not. I learned to love the Playstation version because I preferred the Gameboy version but the Playstation version is good, it's just a weird translation from the Gameboy controls and such. Plus there's way more voice acting than the Gameboy could handle! Either way worth a try, if you don't like the game play watch the cutscenes but give it a world or two to see if you like or get used to it! Either way should be fine for most. In fact if you don't like the gameplay enough we'd be more than happy you just watching the cutscenes so no malcontent gets translated to the story. But that's up to you and what you like, sorry for all the comments 😅
@@silverr12310 Well the chain of memories should be up either tonight or tomorrow Sora’s part anyway. But yes unfortunately I had to watch the cutscenes as I found it too difficult to get used to which I will explain in the video. But the first 10-20 minutes hopefully will be me playing the actual game first though. And don’t apologise for commenting 😂I appreciate the feedback.
The thing I love about Kingdom Hearts games.
The final bosses are usually a gauntlet of bosses, instead of just one tough boss.

It's so nice seeing people play these games for the first time. I wish I could go back to being 7 years old and do it all over again. Also, I love the End of The World a lot, it has such a dark atmosphere that has yet to be matched by the rest of the series. I heard someone say that it feels more like an action than a location, because it feels like you're destroying a creature from the inside, because you literally are. The End of The World is the combined heartless of every world swallowed by darkness, and's its such a fitting final world for the first game that already had a fairly dark story, and Ansem embodies that feeling and vibe so well as the first main villain. I'll definitely be watching the rest of the series as you continue! 😁😁
I’m sure I’m not the first person to say this, the gargoyle guy you fought near the beginning of the final world is Chernabog from Disney’s Fantasia. Not a lot of people have seen that film which I don’t blame because it’s a 2 hour film of just music and animation with no story; basically an animated concert feature ( I personally love it).
Your the first person to say it I didn’t know that. I knew I heard the song from somewhere before but from what I remember it haven’t watched it but I may have when I was younger thanks for letting me know though might be one I watch in the future.
The best ability in the game is "Leaf Bracer," which makes it so you cannot be interrupted while casting. The game can be stupidly difficult without it, but is then very easy with it. Depending on the choices you make at the beginning of the game with Tidus and Wakka etc change at what levels you get abilities and how quickly you level early vs late in the game.
Leaf Bracer is basically required if you're gonna do the optional bosses and extra content.

Oh, and you asked why Mickey wasn't dressed all cool! Notice he's shirtless here in the ending. This is *very* important information to keep in mind going forward.
You were totally right about that voice speaking at the end. It's the same voice Sora hears at the very beginning, and it's Mickey.
Also nice, stumbling into the secret boss at the end! As you can tell from the cutscene, this is the important one. He gives you some pretty interesting info if you manage to beat him!
Yea the Secret boss was a hard one. Another one i will also go back to in the future like i will with sephiroth.
I heard that they could only use Mickey for one scene, I think they chose the right one for maximum effectiveness
So excited for you to get to KH2! It is my favorite in the series! And totally think it’s valid to just watch cutscenes of chain of memories cause it’s literally KH1 with a card battle system which is wack lol I’m not sure if anyone answered it, but the reason Riku didn’t go through the door to join Sora is literally because he can’t. It won’t allow him. His soul is now stuck in the realm of darkness.
I have already started KH2 Loving it so far first vid should be on the here Sunday. I have just uploaded me playing Chain of memories. Thanks for answering why Riku couldn’t go past the door I was confused about that 😅
@@StringoYT the thing about kingdom hearts that I’m sure you’ll find out, is that the lores timeline is everywhere lol so it is “kind of” explained way later on the reason why Riku couldn’t pass through, but it isn’t stated directly about Riku. Just talked about in general why people can’t pass between the realm of light and darkness and why certain people can. So I felt like it wasn’t a spoiler lol

@@StringoYT to expand on that, that door can only be used by creatures of darkness, which neither Riku or Mickey are, but that's why Mickey says "there's always a door to light" meaning a door they can use
@@VGInterviews ahh I get ya I think mickey says in COM he was able to get out because of him finding a card which let him see rikus heart which I’m guessing maybe it was the light in his heart I’m not sure 😅 something along those lines.

First game done! Halloween Town was definitely my favorite part in this game, mostly because I'm a sucker for that movie but also because Sora's outfit is great. Also wow, that final boss took forever, this game loves its drama.
For a game so popular and well-known, I expected the first game to have a bit of a deeper plotline; it ended up being pretty generic. I'll guess I'll have to see how it continues in the other games. Thanks for the videos!
If you’re wondering why the game is left on a cliffhanger but still felt complete it’s due to how they wanted a new IP but we’re not confident in its success. Cliffhangers have now become a staple in the series. 😂
Yeah i don’t mind cliffhangers when I know I can go straight to the next game. But that might change after I eventually finish number 3 and it’s dlc.

She stays infinitely with no summon bar, heals you, allows you to gain mp unlike some other summons, and she'll also revive you *once* before disappearing.

You stumbled into the Hardest Boss at the end there. Was added for Final Mix, which for years was a Japanese-only release based on the international version, which is why the voiced lines are actually reused from earlier in the game. anyway he's a bitch so y'know that's how it goes.
Yeah I heard before I completed it there was a hidden boss so I’m glad I found him. It Will be one I post on here later down the line of me trying to beat him and sephiroth.
The game is hard because you were not prepared enough. You should have made better weapons, made more items, and gotten all the summons. That seems to be a problem with a lot of streamers is that they just rush through the game and expect it to be easy. As I like to say, preparation prevents frustration.
I agree with you there more prepared I intend to be more prepared for the end of the kh2

People hate the series just because of the story what about the gameplay characters designs music? Like look at souls game for example the story is so bad and they just throw you into a difficult game without telling you the story and people like that apperently i dont get it
Yeah I agree with you don’t get me wrong I like the souls games but yea they don’t have much of a story to them at all. But the story on this game was brilliant and from what I have played it number 2 so far is even better.

I hate that when you get to the end after the credits and final fantasy game promo, you hit a dead end screen of the game cover and you have to reset the game from where you last saved 😒

The needless cutting out of the music that SOME streamers do is so annoying.
