To beat a Chinese player is a great achievent! Could she repeat it? The Chinese are damn good!

Thank you so much for this. Great match. And the big question is: is Kong right? Does Lui have a mental weakness against Singapore players, or is it that, put simply Feng is her equal in ability? I tend towards the latter. When Feng plays well, and gets it right tactically, she's a match for anyone - Ding Ning and Li Xiaoxia included. Still wouldn't back her at the next world championship though - just too much class Chinese opposition to get through.

I think Feng standard is comparable to the chinese players and I feel that liu shiwen techniques does not have great advantage against Feng. Getting the Asian Cup title is already an achievement as all the players in this tournament are world class. For the oncoming World Championship in Suzhou, advancing to the final will be very tough. but she is still capable to do sth big. I hope she can progress to the semi final after 3 times quarterfinalists in world championship (2009, 2011, 2013)

Robert Rowles I don't think so. It just happened that Feng was better at that day.
Following are the head-to-head records of FENG Tianwei against the top women's players who make up the core team of China TODAY (I don't bother the retired players):

Samsara Chomolangma You list out so many details on Feng. Are you a fan of her?

Koh Jun De Nope :-) but Feng Tianwei is the strongest female player outside China team and able to defeat many of them occasionally, so she deserves the special attention. And nothing explains better than the head-to-head stats of her against the members of China's current core team for the stats are relatively self-explanatory. To some she poses better chance, to few others they look like her nemeses, practically her antidotes.

Samsara Chomolangma Yup. agree. :) No doubt Feng is the strongest player outside China.. Actually, at least winning a chinese player once or twice is a great achievement. Not many players can do it.. The most memorable event is the World Team Championship 2010. and She is the only world champion outside China in these few years.. I hope feng has a breakthrough in this year WTTC.
