From what I've heard he's fortunate to be alive. He's an inspirational chef, I have to say not my favourite type of cooking but I admire what he does. Truly a hard working man and someone with endless passion.

Around the time alinea got 3 stars he had throat cancer so couldn't eat properly/taste at all so the dishes were all set through his memories of the taste! Q
