In this video we are going to see how to make Mangalorean Sannas. Sannas are popular in Mangalore and Goa.
My mom prepares really good Sannas. This is my mom's recipe. I love sannas. You can serve sannas with chicken Curry, mutton curry and pork gravy.
If you are having sanna for breakfast you can serve with vegetable korma or coconut chutney.

Can we use kolam rice instead of boiled rice I have no boiled rice
Mounika you can use idli rice instead of boiled rice.
After it has fermented should we stir the batter before steaming them since you did not show the same
If you try my recipe no need to stir can use directly because I have used very less yeast. If you use more yeast after fermentation the batter will have more froth, if your batter looks like froth then give it a good stir then use. Hope it was helpful 🙂
How much water is needed while grinding
Add 3/4 th glass water and grind, if it is still thick add 1/4th glass water and grind.
How many idlis does this make
30 - 35 sannas
Ma'am , if I take 6 cup of rice , should I add 1 cup urad daal & yeast 1/2 teaspoon?

Yes you can use idli rice
3 cups dosa rice, 1 cup idli rice and when grinding add 1 handful flattened rice/ avalaki
What is gravy with sannas how to eat
It's chicken ghee roast but you can serve with chicken or mutton curry

Don't v have to add sugar to it... In other recipes i have seen them adding sugar
I have mixed water with sugar and water then added to the batter. Other than that I don't use sugar for this recipe.
