As a child of the 80s, watching the arcades die out in the late 90s was heart breaking. Glad to see people still have the passion for the experiences of the arcade.

I finally got to sit down and finish this. What a great video! Todd seems like a truly great guy and someone who loves the industry, just like you. This could easily be on TV but the selfish part of me doesn't want that. I don't have cable for one and two, I fear some network executive or producer would come in and try to make the show something its not. I hope this is a success and its something you can keep doing. I never thought I'd be talking about the classic arcade games I loved as a kid this much as an adult.

This show is quickly growing on me, lately I've realized I'm into these old arcades more than anything modern gaming has to offer, I find myself enjoying even bad emulation of old stuff more than being on a server getting my face blown off, anyway this is an awesome show, earned my subscription.

Ralph, great episode my dude. I will say this, as an arcade collector of nearly 15 years, I recently acquired 2 pinball machines, Judge Dredd and Congo, with my 3rd favourite, Johnny Mnemonic coming in a couple of weeks. It's a different world and one you will love. Having a gameroom with your childhood arcades and a small collection of pins is the perfect combination in my opinion. Look forward to the next episode.

I played the R360 many years ago. They had one at a local gaming centre/night club. I'm pretty sure it was time limited too (so it didn't matter how good you were, once your time was up that was it). I also seem to recall it was quite expensive for the time played, so I didn't play it much. Cool to see you have fun playing it!

I loved meeting Todd on my trip to TNT! Super fun dude, hilarious, very very hospitable and his level of knowledge is insane! The Twins were just as funny and accommodating, and let me tell you, they are absolute BEASTS! I bought 2 machines on my trip: an Arkanoid in a Gorf cab, and a Power Drift -- ONE twin literally lifted each cab into my F-150 by himself. And no, he didn't tip them on their backs and leverage the tailgate as a fulcrum and slide the machine in there on its back; he loaded them upright. I have NO idea how he could just basically deadlift that much weight on such big and awkward cabinets, but he did it. I watched him do it. Two of us couldn't get them down out of the truck afterwards. We needed a forklift to get them out. Anyway, looks like you had an incredible time and I'm glad you enjoyed the trip! Thanks for sharing!!

My dad was an expat in Indonesia setting up arcades all over the country in the mid 90s. The warehouse got a R360 with G-loc which they were holding there waiting for a new center to be finished being built before sending it out. So I was able to plug it in and be able to play for hours and hours after school for a a week or 2. Was definitely my favorite game that ever came through there and even decades later would love to play it again. In fact I didn't realise it came with any other games like afterburner till now.

This web series is really becoming something good. Arcade pickers, is a distant memory and doesnt even come close to how good Chasing Nostalgia is. Only complaint is the length between new episodes.
On episode 3 i especially liked the lines about; making new memories and not tring to re-live old ones and about the 1ups helping the community. Me i dont like the 1ups and i would never buy one. I do see how they help the arcade collector community. By helping the person who doesnt have the money for a real arcade game or the space, still be able to collect something similar to an arcade game. Even though if i was in that predicament i would just get a full size mame arcade cabinet, but everyone is different. Sorry for the long message, keep the episodes coming. Great stuff!

YES I took a trip to Galloping Ghost Arcade in 2019 mainly to play Primal Rage II when I got there my mind was blown! Because there's so much to play and so much to see. Primal Rage II was about a 15 minute stop then off to the next game. It is a magical place, if you're ever in the area it's a must stop. 8 hour round trip was definitely worth it.

Did y’all get any footage of actual gameplay of that Predator pinball? You basically said, ”Here is something amazing that no one has ever seen”…and then didn’t really show it. I literally caught myself swiping at my screen trying to see more of the pin. 🤣 Please highlight some of these cool things in a subsequent video if you have the footage.

Amazing video. That Sega R360 is amazing. May I ask if you heard of an Arcade game called "Ridge Racer Full Scale"? Have you seen it at any arcade today?
It was made by Namco in 1993, and uses a real car to play Ridge Racer. I played it once when I was a kid. I've been wanting to play it again. But my local arcade closed down years ago and the Ridge Racer Full scale machine was long gone. Have you seen a Ridge Racer full scale at any of the arcades you've visited?
It would be awesome if you found one or did a Chasing Nostalgia video on it. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Had the pleasure of using the R360 in Budapest, Hungary in the mid-90s, at the legendary arcade called Wizard’s. While I was not a squeamish child, this was scary as hell lol Fun fact: There was a second machine there nearby at Siófok on the boardwalk, meaning that at least 2% of all machines produced were located in Hungary, which had just transitioned to democracy the same time this machine was made.

Have you ever visited Starfighter Arcade in Phoenix? I've been wanting to visit it for a while. Might be an interesting locale for a local clip if you're up there. Keep gaming and thanks for great content!

Great episode. Nice to see the games you can't see everywhere and why. The national air force museum in Ohio has a flight simulator similar to that Sega game. 2 people can sit in it, one as pilot and one has gunner. It rolls 360 but doesn't go vertically 360. Still a blast.
