- I've been writing news and documentary scripts for television for the past 20 years. In this video, I reveal some of my storytelling formulas and dissect some of the TV documentaries I've written for Iwitness on GMA Network Inc.; the storytelling structure i used, the styles and themes i incorporate in the documentaries. I also analyze one of my favorite Taylor Swift songs and her storytelling structure for "Champagne Problems". I really want to pursue a communication course back then when I was in high school but due to some circumstances, I graduated sa Engineering course ngayon (Electronics and Communications Engineering) and told myself na I will work na lang behind the scenes sa mga TV shows as an engineer.But with this, pinaalala niyo po sakin kung ano yung first love ko, it's journalism. ❤️😭 Thank you po Miss Kara David for making me realize what I really want. I've been watching iWitness ever since I was a child(now 26), and always fascinated how the stories were well written and delivered. Which always left me and my dad talked about the hanging questions before us going to bed.

Finally, I grew up watching Iwitness before.. I even argued with people who discredited their talents (Jay Taruc etc..) Their artform was underappreciated for so many years. Hopefully, CZcams help these talented individuals to get more attention so they can create their own documentaries without restrictions from networks.

I just noticed that Ms. Kara and I have many similarities. Aside from being Swifties, when it comes to writing, I've been unconsciously doing the tips she gave, like in Tip 1, I remembered when I used to write a poem/story about a topic, I use words related to the topic. In Tip 2, even the Past, Present, Future structure is my most fav one to tell a story. In Tip 3, I also connect my intro and outro. I feel like I know the ideas but wasn't aware of it so very thankful for these tips Ms. Kara, it made me realize and reevaluate my approach in writing. This really helped a lot, thank you very much and God bless!

Sobrang Fan ng mama ko si Ms. Kara everytime docu mo po ang ipapalabas hinding hindi pwe-pwede na hindi niya yun papanuurin. Sobrang hangang hanga ang mama ko sa inyo.
