Just the Intro to 'Last Ninja 3'.
Beside the intro the first two 'Last Ninja' games were/are much better more lovely created games than the third one, which was/is also less playable than the previous games.
    used C64 board:
    -----------------------
C64: board Assy No.: 250425 with still the original ('6510') CPU on board, VIC II (6569) Revision 3, SID (6581) Revision 3
The Assy no. 250425 board's output are by far the best regarding the picture quality, that's why I chose this particular board(s) for all the recordings.

Reyn Ouwehand did such a great job with the music on this. And to think, he was still a teenager when he wrote this

      Most of us were.. 😀
He did some great music. One of my favorite tbo.
I guess this one was made on the 8580 sid chip (Alot fattier). Still it sounded great on the 6581.

The bass that can be produced by the c64 is just fantastic...

There's professional synthesizers that have been completely built around the SiD chip. Definitely the warmest of the 8bit game sound chips.

C64 lowpass is such an amazing function the SID had.

Absolute classic intro and music. The things they were able to do with such little RAM and a single basic (advanced for its time) sound chip.

Beats the Amiga intro. The music is just so good.

it most certainly does, I just saw it for the first time and it blows it away, I was shocked at how bad that is.

This is THE classic intro to prove to Speccy fan boys that the C64 was, is and will always be dominant, there is no way that anything even approaching this could be done on a Speccy, even the later 128k version. #ComputerWars #OldRivalriesNeverDie

this intro was hailed as great at the time.....i remember reading that they compared the intro to a commodore amiga graphically at the time

Love the music. It's like traditional Asian folk meets Jean-Michel Jarre.

If you look at this compared with early C64 games such as Lode Runner, it is like a generation (or even two) ahead and yet it is still the same hardware. Programmers used tricks and exploits to push the C64 to its limits.

It is not the limit yet. System 3 started to make new optimised game engine for Last ninja 4, but they cancelled the project when they realised that C64 was dead.

They just don't make em like this anymore.... It was kind of sad that this game was the worst in the trilogy. a very well done intro on the c64 system!
