The best BBQ I've ever had in Texas or probably anywhere was a tiny place in a town somewhere south of the Toledo Bend Reservoir close to Louisiana. I thought it was excellent when I was eating it but realized how extraordinary it was shortly after I finished. This was a long long time ago and it was in a town on a highway I had never been on before or since. I’m sure it’s not there anymore and I doubt I could find it again even if I really tried. I like BBQ but I can’t say it’s my favorite food . I’ve had BBQ all over Texas and this tiny place in a tiny town was the best I’ve had. I do like banana pudding and have since I was a little kid.
you making me want bbq and im stuck in the PNW for the holidays there is no decent bbq up here.....goldees bbq by midlothian has won tx best bbq (according to texas monthly) the last couple of years and they just bought an old sonic by seminary south and are going to have drive up bbq......
I dont know if you stop at any Love's Gas stations in your travels there gas station food is awful but they have what to me tastes like pretty good banana pudding 🍮
Vegas food is gross. They do everything kinda mid. Their Italian food is not good, but if you're not from New York you'd think it's probably pretty decent. They're Texas BBQ is good, only if you haven't been to Texas. They do Steak and Lobster, but so does everyone.
If there's not smoke coming out of some part of the building, just drive away!
Bob, you should talk to the owner of this restaurant and tell him you'd like to open a franchise or 2 in Las Vegas. I bet it'd be a big hit.
I live in Memphis, and Memphis BBQ is great. Texas BBQ is great too / just different. Two of the best!

Last time I was in Vegas I stopped by Big B's Texas BBQ and it's authentic and I'm from Tennessee and it was just as good
