Yes, you can get unhappy surprises when you take out the old appliance. Taking out my broken dishwasher - the shut-off valve under the sink blew a gasket when I shut it off. So needed plumbing (which I did). The old wire had been run through a huge hole in the wall, and after I sealed it - rats ate through the wire. So needed electrical (which I did) and this is all before any installation could take place. (Which I also did.)
But a huge thank you to you guys. I'm way out of your area, so can't buy from you, but your reviews are exceptionally good.
Another excellent video!
The information that you guys provide is simply outstanding. Much appreciated!
I have learned so much from watching this channel! More than probably the average person needs to know. But, I feel like I can go into my stores and know what I am looking for with having someone trying to sell me something I don't need. Like a car sale person. 😆
Yes....thats the idea. Be informed, so you don't get misinformed
I agree
I have been watching your videos for years to help make informed decisions. Because I live in California, I have not been able to purchase from you, but having the company that sells something also service it, cannot be understated. Those who live in Mass are lucky to have Yale as an option.
I will say that Costco has been quite good to us, and does carry many of the brands we like (LG washer/dryer, Bosch dishwasher, etc).
I like Costco...however, service/customer service is box store level....which is fine
Another excellent one. Thank you!
Please expand to more cities if/when you can.
Well, we are opening in Norton, mass, then in the Cape later this year. We have Nantucket and the Vineyard in our sights, then New Hampshire
I listened to to you guys about the various brands of ranges and it turned out well
We live in east tn and bc we live in a rural area, service is few and far in between.
We bought our ge monogram built in 48" back in 2016.
First, the led lights inside the top refrigerator went out. All other lights worked. We did not fix it.
2nd, the temperature panel worked intermittently along with door lights when you opened and closed it.
3rd, the drastic temperature fluctuations in the refrigerator.
We changed the top led light to no effect and changed the transformer on the bottom to no effect.
We only opened the refrigerator when we needed to.
Then, the refrigeration temperature went to 68 degrees, and we lost all of our food.
But this morning, the refrigerator went back to normal.
But the essential food sits in 2 coolers.
We paid around 10k if not more for this built-in and a monogram at that. And here we are with all of these problems some of which we did not fix bc it was too expensive.
We had a service man show up on Monday saying it may be the compressor and will show up next Monday, but we aren't holding our breath. They rescheduled twice.
Any suggestions for a free-standing ge profile for 2 people side by side with no ice maker or dispenser. We never use the water, only the ice. Honestly, I'm over it.
Ps. We had to replace our 2016 Ge Monogram Double Oven in February of this year.
Thank you.
Just buy a GE Counter Depth, but the dimensions will differ with what you have
@@YaleAppliance1 Thank you.
I wish your store and service was available in my area. It's hard to find a good appliance store with in house service. These are all great questions to ask. I grew up in the 80s/90s when you just went to Sears and bought the best you could afford, they handled service too. I'm not sure when they started contracting that out. If I was in Boston I would definitely be buying from you. If you branch out to San Diego I'll be a loyal customer.
Love SD..great place, great weather
Fair to say when you buy a 3 year warranty it’s really only 2 as most units are covered for one year from the manufacturer? Liking the content gents!
3 years is 3 years full versus 1 years full...not that it matters because independent service agents wont fix it anyway.
Great video, but I just have to share that with those appliances behind you, you both look like you have big, black Mickey ears! LOL!
Delivery! Like getting three different Bosch dishwashers that all have dented cabinets? Wow!
It can happen
Years ago a couple of yahoos delivered a unitized washer/dryer to our second floor. 10 minutes after they left I noticed the water on our kitchen ceiling... We caught it quickly so minimal damage but I won't step foot in that store even though lots of people love them.. I
which store?
I hope everything is fine Steve, you look exhausted. All the best.
Hey thanks for asking.....:)
@@YaleAppliance1well…are you exhausted? 😂😂😂
Depends on the day really......
Any chance for a budget recommendation ? Not everyone needs top of the line features or pricey options that aren't necessary for basic operation. Would be nice to see a recommended budget list of basic appliances
Great recommendation......We will do that video (have a 2 month backlog). However, let me help you now.
1. Wait for a promotional period..July 4th, Labor Day, Black Friday.
2. LG, GE, Samsung all have decent core products
3. Pick the features you can live without. Don't overpay for products, you cant use.
