Hi, name is Victor Sho, and this is my assistant Oscar Acevedo, and we are going to teach you how to freestyle step. So when you're freestyle stepping, all you have to do is, honestly, keep a solid bass beat, a simple one. It can be as simple as a hand clap (one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight), or even a simple beat which is what we're going to be doing. We're going to go boom, boom bop, boom, boom, bop. And then what the challenge is is to stay on a specific tempo, and while that one person is holding that bass beat, you just go for it and try to make any beat that you can think of. Keep it simple, but try to make any beat that you can think of and, honestly, just stay on tempo and then you should just be fine. Okay?
And then you just interchange. You do like one eight count, the next person does one eight count. Or you can do vice versa like that. So me and Oscar are going to do a quick demonstration. We'll try to do a bass beat. He'll go, I'll go, he'll go, I'll go. And try to just keep the first one a little bit simple, and then the second one. Alright? So, let's so this. Here we go. Five, six, seven, here we go, ho! Here we go! [dances with intermediate sounds] And that's how you freestyle step.
