    How is Nicko able to play double beat with single bass peddle?😲😲

    Interesting. Comes across as punky. The notes that Steve chooses are not always what you would expect but it must be he is harmonizing.

    • @SamPlaysBass49
      @SamPlaysBass49 Před 5 lety +1

      I found it particularly interesting that he didn't play the low e in the verses, he chose to play the octave up. But you don't miss the low notes in the mix.

    • @SamPlaysBass49
      @SamPlaysBass49 Před 4 lety +1

      Tim typically on a four string bass on a song in E the bassist would play the root note as low as possible (open low e) instead of playing the same note as the guitar (7th fret A, which he does here)

      @@Tim_Ankarbranth No, he was talking about plaing E (or other root notes) an octave up.

      maksphoto78 ah okay. Thanks for the reply though! I appreciate it. I believe it is from there. Most mastertracks like this come from guitar hero or rock band. I finally put together a list of all of the songs from GH into one page so I could search them to figure out where masters like this are from, because I love this so much. This is such a great tune

      Adrian Smith left the band years ago, to be replaced by Janick Gers. Then Adrian came back, so they decided to keep both of them in the band ^_^.

      Probably a Premiere brand! Not sure the size. Seems tuned fairly tight,top and bottom,but who knows. It has reverb or something and is probably compressed. Also Nicko hits rim shots on backbeat and fills. Makes a shotgun type sound. He hits the snare closer to the center with the tip of the stick hitting center,while the heavier part of the stick hits the rim,at the same time,to put it in simple terms.

    adoro gli iron, sono cresciuto ascoltandoli, ma sentendo le basi drums+bass diventa evidente come un bassista decente avrebbe potuto elevare il livello qualitativo dei loro dischi : steve è carismatico ma insegue sempre a fatica nicko, spesso non riuscendo neppure ad eseguire le frasi in maniera sciolta ... l'asso della band resta il solo grande adrian smith

      +MrDayandnight69 da batterista per me Harris fa il suo porco lavoro più che decentemente, che poi ci siano bassisti più tecnici di sicuro..ma quanto viaggia con quelle due dita e che belle le parti lente in seventh o therime...

      Infatti Steve non ha mai detto di essere un virtuoso, secondo me non è decente, ma molto piú. Ce ne saranno di piú bravi? Sicuro, ma Harris rimane Harris e ha fatto la storia del basso.

      Con Nicko fa fatica, ma ce la fa, con Clive Burr non c'é mai riuscito, infatti negli anni di Clive, Steve era solito ripetere all ex drummer di rallentare nelle ritmiche delle canzoni perche non riusciva a stargli dietro... Clive numero 1!

      Mr. Harris non è tecnicamente assoluto, non è una macchina...ma col suo modo di suonare azzecca perfettamente "la Fase" per far camminare il pezzo nel modo migliore. Per me è geniale!
