That was my first cologne too. I got like 5 or 6 compliments from girls that day. And that was the moment i fell in love with colognes. Literally a protective layer of confidence around me.
As someone who collects fragrances, if you are tryna find something inexpensive because u don’t have a great amount to spend on cologne. You should buy Mont Blanc legend spirit, rasasi hawas, or Afnan 9pm all of these you can get very very cheap and are amazing.
@@Leviticus123don’t buy 9pm or hawas, I heard new batches don’t last also before you put cologne put lotion where you spray (do neck cause the wrist is useless since you will wash your hands
As someone who is interested in it as an art form, I couldn’t agree more, I spent about a year just buying mid designers for the sake of it, and you should know what your doing before buying lots of stuff
spray it straight on ur neck and on the back of ur neck for a scent trail for 1. for 2 buy off discounters, at macys most of the cologne is 120 and i can guarantee that u could have gotten dylan blue half off. 3rd most cologne is priced from 50-110 on discounters
one thing, colognes take time and several tries to actually make good judgment of the scent (some even needs to mancerate a while before ripe). Have fun, brothers and sisters! PS: Lotion and deo are also very good to boost your cologne effectiveness. Try out to make your own fitted combination (JPG Le Beau is surprisingly enhanced by AXE EXCITE, quite an exciting finding for me xD )
lots of cologne can be cheap and still smell just like niche or designer, heavily recommend, khamrah qahwa (sweet coffee scent) , khamrah (sweet apple pie like scent), nebras (cake like scent) and oud for glory (woody scent) by them, i believe all of those are under $40
i have a few colognes but really as long as you shower everyday you wont smell bad. btw if you want a really good budget cologne get nautica voyage for only $30
@@Leviticus123 a better budget option since nautica cologne smells like horseraddish is versace eros, its sold on ebay for about 30-40 bucks since its taken from outlets and listed online. Another good one is montblanc explorer if you want the smell of creed aventus without looking into the rabbit hole of UAE fragrances (its a DEEP hole but a very good one as they are about 20-30 bucks per 100ml bottle and they smell 90-105% of the og fragrance and whem im traveling to iraq they are about 10 bucks each). Long story short, Eros is good, Explorer is good, please dont buy nautica 😭😭
Buying cologne on places like jomashop and fragrance net is a great idea. I got like 4 bottles (one being Versace Dylan blue and another Versace pour homme which is a fresher version) and I spent around 100 bucks.
Just picked up my 5th cologne its burberry hero edt and btw My dad had versace dylan blue and that was also the cologne that I used and found my new addiction
great video man, you just forgot to say that you have to buy a cologne which matches season and your age, you don't want to wear sweet cologne in the summer cause it won't smell as good as in the winter
I just bought 12 cologne today I swear ☠️ man I do appreciate your content for starting out, very needed, plus I liked your own opinion and creative content in general with style. If you like Dylan blue, I will say with your aura, or way you put yourself out there, blue de Chanel EDP is a perfect choice for you, it’s completely fresh, like out the shower/bubble bath, even in the tv show You they said that lol. Now if you live more wintery type of state like Michigan, it might be better to get something close to if you can get your hands on a sample, of Jazz club by Maison Margela, blind bought it and it works wonderfully, just bought Parfums De Marly Layton, as well as Althaïr, Layton is definitely a great starter for fresh everyday occasion about, if you go towards niche after your done checking all of the samples :) make sure you spray on yourself before buying from paper, your dna changes it! I wish you luck bro
when spraying DO NOT rub it, it will break down the molecules and make the smell last not as long. i would recommend one behind each ear and one behind your neck. if you want to spray more spray some on your clothes and your wrists but no rubbing. jeremy fragrance also has a good guide on where to spray colonge.
This was me when I was about 14-15, asked my older brother if I could wear some of his JPG Le Male to school and now I'm 19 and about $3,000 deep into my collection lol (I swear I'm not addicted at all). Words of advice though, unless you have a passion for fragrances like me you do not need to spend thousands of dollars on cologne I have about 16 bottles and tbh all you need is 3 max. One light fragrance for the high heat and office setting, one dark one for the winter/fall or date night bc in the cold the light one won't preform and usually with the darker/heavier fragrances they tend to be sweeter which is good for date nights because women like when their man smells almost edible, and honestly get a blue fragrances for the third BUT BUY THIS ONE FIRST because it will be the most versatile fragrance in your collection. The fragrance he has is called Versace Dylan Blue and you can go on discounters and pick a regular sized bottle for like $48 but since this one is so cheap and you will use it the most I recommend going ahead and buying the 6.8oz bottle instead of the 3.4oz bottle which would be $70.
Another tip would be to always try to get your nose on the fragrance before you buy it but NEVER pay retail, the same $70 bottle of Dylan Blue will cost you about $150 in the store, save your money this habit is not cheap by no means.
@@lupascuradu4817 The higher price is mainly due to having more "middle-men" in the process. Online stores just have their bottles in a big warehouse that gets sent directly to the consumer (low cost for them). Physical stores on the other hand have big warehouses that have to send the bottles in larger shipments to several stores (additional shipping cost for them), then they have to pay workers to unload the bottles, and they finally have to pay sales staff to sell the cologne. And boom, that's how a bottle of cologne now costs twice as much at a department store.
can anyone name a famous perfume edp one, that's a blind buy best, I'm looking for dior sauvage/ ysl y edp/ cdnim/ bleu de chanel, what's the best smelling ones with longevity and projection
The thing is, fragrances are always kinda relative. There's fragrances that work for 99,9% of people, but you could be that one 0.1%, where the fragrance mixes terribly with your skin chemistry or isn't pleasing for your own nose or just performs bad on you. But that aside, sauvage is in general a safe bet. Can be worn all year long, everywhere and it just works. Its the most sold fragrance for men around the world for a reason. Bleu De Chanel is tendentially more of a summer fragrance, but still an all year safe bet. Ysl Y even more so with being an summer fragrance, but still works year around. On the other hand, I have a tester for it and it performs bad on me. Thats exactly what I've meant with the relativity of fragrances.
I would reccomend invictus parfum, ik its random but omg its the best smelling fragrance i smelt, and i smelt many like dior sauvage, which i think its mid, d'issey pour homme intense, jpg le beau, a ultramale dupe, etc, even tom ford the list goes on kinda, the new invictus parfum is very worth the £104
I meant Versace Dylan Blue not deep blue haha
Did you get the number?
That was my first cologne too. I got like 5 or 6 compliments from girls that day. And that was the moment i fell in love with colognes. Literally a protective layer of confidence around me.
Also its best to try the cologne at the mall, but purchase them from online retailers for much cheaper as they are often discounted.
