      For a choked barrel and a longer twist rate that isn't exactly optimal for slugs that's pretty awesome. Bob o just shot slugs out of a Maximus with relative success. Great video 👌

    I've been a subscriber since all the way back to your 2240 conversions. It's amazing how you transform middle to low end rifles to shoot and look like guns costing MUCH more. Love your videos, keep up the good work!

    I've been working my way through your videos, and though I skipped a couple here and there, I'm still in awe of your work on 3 stocks you built from walnut. Great job. I can only imagine the work each one was that we didn't see on video. The fact you are sharing these is super. I don't know jack bo diddly about videoing, but I've read it takes a huge amount of time to edit one down to be presentable online. Yours' are great. I think the way you've shown the work you've done on your various PCP air rifles is clear, and you've made it easy to understand regardless if anyone is going to copy your methods or not, very interesting and a treat to watch. I'd go on and on, but I'm still working through the last 4-5 of your videos to watch. Thank you. (I'll mention to you a web site you might enjoy, (or not) "This Old Tony" . His videos are interesting and well done also. Great to watch even if you aren't a machinist... , which I an not)

    Outstanding video, very informative and easy to follow for us neophytes of the airgun world. You seem quite the marksman, e.g., a sub-MOA (0.29 MRD? just about) at 100 yds. is quite the feat in my credence. Your slugs seem to perform quite well, precise and accurate. I believe the wind might have directed your POI a tad to your right, otherwise, you would have been spot-on centered. Thank you for the excellence in your presentation. I wish best of all possible fortunes.

    Thank you so much for this information. Your dedication to this way of life never ceases to amaze me. I have been wondering about the B.C on your bullets because of the flat trajectory they give me in my Liberty's. Now that you have provided us with this knowledge, I can input this info into the chronograph data and formulate downrange energy so I know if I will have enough energy, trajectory and wind drift to cleanly dispatch some of the pests and critters cleanly and humanely. It's so much easier to plot solutions when you have the numbers. Keep up the great work. Your slugs are very high precision and spot-on in weight and form. Not one single thing off when I received them. Every one of them was perfect in every way. Amazing. Thank you for everything you share with all of us and help us with. You are the man. Maybe you can tell me can these be used in a Benjamin piston drive air gun. Or are these for PCP airguns only because that would leave alot of people out on this for I do carry an air rifle on my boat for hunting because I do have a fur bearers licence and believe me follow a very stricked rule when on the river. If anyone around or what ever no joy. Safety first no matter what.

    Nice shooting Steve.I just bought a liberty nova very accurate with JSB 15.89 drilled out the barrel port to3/16 got the 18 grain to shoot 933 average for 10 shoots then dropped back to 912fps . I have so many questions but I’ll keep it short . • @AirVelocitySport
      @AirVelocitySport  Před 5 lety +1

      There is a point where increasing the regulator will no longer and a benefit to FPS due to the limit of the transfer and barrel port also you have to balance the hammer Spring pressure with the regulator pressure not an exact skill but an art

      Try sample pack to see which length slug works best. You need to push these slugs at least 825fps to get them to stabilize. Although I have shot the .22 AVS slugs at 725 fps with good accuracy out to 75 yards. The 25 cal need more power/velocity to stabilize.

    The Crown Cont (.22 700mm slug liner) Impact MKII .22 and .25 700mm slug liners and my .22 and .25 Poly barreled HM1000X LRTs all consistently print sub Minute 10 shot 100y groups. These are 2000 dollar guns and at a indoor 100y range. Out doors on calm days any of them will shoot MOA or better about 7 out of ten groups.
    A 300 dollar gun shooting 10 shot 100y groups that are Minute or better is insane... If that gun can consistently print 1.5 minute or better 10 shot 100y groups then holy shit thats amazing.
    My .30 Dream lite bottle gun will shoot right at 1.5 minute 10 shot 100y groups consistently and is a 1250 dollar gun... My Neutronstar .22 will shoot around 1.5 minute 100y 10 shot groups with a few different .217 slugs and is a 800 dollar gun.
    If you can get 1.5 moa capable gun for 300 dollars that literally allows people coming in to the sport a fantastic chance as they have guns that are capable of insane performance that they will not quickly out grow (you have out grown a gun as soon as the gun is the limiting factor not your skills.) Making them truly enjoy the hobby and over time wanting to invest more money and time in to it.
    5 years ago 300 buckes would get you in the hobby with a Discovery (not including support gear) and was fantastic but a shooter would QUICKLY out grow the Disco. The gun (stock) was a 50y and in gun. JSB 18.13s would consistently print at an inch at 50 for ten of them. At a 100y 10 shot groups would run in the 5 minute range... With some tuning and some upgrades (smooth the barrel lead, have the barrel squared up and a large turned crown, open transfer port, add a power adjuster and dial it in to around 28ftlbs and have a solid 12 shots between 1800 and 1400psi that would be with in a 10fps ES) you could get the guns shooting im the 3.5 inch range at 100y.
    Now it's amazing how good the sub 500 dollar guns are. My neutron star is a 800 dollar gun and is absolutely superb (will it replace my FX and RAWs NO LOL) and capable of so much... As it sits its pushing NSA .217 27.5g slugs at 61ftlbs and will print 5 shot groups in the .75 minute range all day long with 10 shot groups being sub 1.5 min consistently. Trigger is great (not world class but great), action is pretty smooth, stock is very nice for its price, solid barrel (we did do a light lead lapping, smoothing of the leade, deburr on transfer port, and cut a 11 degree target crown on the lathe) for a gun in its price range... Overall a damn nice sledge hammer of a gun for 800 bucks... It's amazing now that you can get a gun of that level kf preformance for that price.
    It's also extremely happy with JSB 25.39s at 48ftlbs with just a simple power adjustment and shoots the FX Hybrids amazingly well at 48ftlbs. At its current tune it loves the NSA 27.5s in .217 at that tune thats all i shot out of it because it's shooting so hot. Even at that power level the current tune provides 42 shots with a SD of 2fps and a ES over the 42 of 19fps... If your pushing the Hybrids at 48ftlbs with that hammer spring adjustment it's shot string is 58 shots with a ES of 17fps and a SD of 1.7fps. This is on a 3550 psi starting pressure down to 2800psi.
    If you read this i would love to buy 500 of your slugs to test... Im sure they would shoot lights out in more then a few of my .22 slug builds.

      I personally feel there is no need to. The stock barrel loves h&n barracuda pellets and my AVS slugs. I used jsb 18 and 25( at 950fps) with good results.

There are many DIY enthusiasts like me in mainland China. We're just hobbies, not criminals. But thank again for u an u video.LOL
