      The cost of the Monarchy to each citizen is less than 2-pounds a year. Stand by your beautiful strength, the Monarchy! Believe me, the revenue it draws to your country is substantially more than it takes to maintain it. As small as you are, as limited your exportations, you will fade into the washing laps of the shoreline without this Monarchy. Not to mention being overwhelmed into oblivion by immigration.

    No one wants to be forcibly removed from their home, but we're talking about relocating from one mansion to another - if only we all faced such a choice. I think Andrew should swallow his pride, "downgrade" to Frogmore, and just be grateful he's not in jail.

    Of COURSE Royal Lodge was always intended for the Prince of Wales. Andrew was never intended to live in Royal Lodge. He was given a marital home by the Queen which he then sold and then pleaded for Royal Lodge. He had a growing family then but now he is a SINGLE man living alone except for a rather strange lodger living there free of charge. The Royal Lodge, obviously, should be for Ptince William and his family to grow up in. Andrew is utterly selfish.

    @Polopony Před 22 dny +9

    How does a former butler of Charles's have any idea about what is currently going on inside the royal family....? And it has been known for some time that Royal Lodge is in need of a new roof and urgent damp treatment, as the last time it had any maintenance done was when Andrew moved in 20 years ago. So this is not news. If Andrew has a repairing lease, he is liable to pay for the maintenance and if he doesn't, he is in breach of his contract and can, presumably, be evicted. If not, it is not an issue as the Crown Estate, as landlords, will have to stump up the cost of the work. The only way that KC3 is involved is that he is, so far as is known, no longer paying Andrew the the £250K annual living allowance that the late Queen was paying him to compensate for no longer being in receipt of a Sovereign Grant allowance as a working royal, without which Andrew claims he cannot afford to pay to maintain Royal Lodge out of his own funds - which rather implies that he does indeed have a repairing lease. In addition, KC3 is currently still paying the £3million cost of providing Andrew with the 24/7 security at Royal Lodge that he refused to give up when royal security was reviewed in 2011, which the late Queen then agreed to pay for herself. The reason the cost is so high is because Royal Lodge with its grounds of 30+ acres is so large it requires 3 separate security teams to cover it all. Clearly, it would make sense for Andrew to move to a smaller property that he can pay for himself without being supplemented by his brother and his wife, but it seems that although he has plenty of vanity, he has no pride at all.

      Prince Andrew was a pawn manipulated by Epstein, in a bid to embarrass the Royal Family. On today's standards, Andrew is a good guy tricked and compromised in the pool at the W. He should feel forgiven and lead a normal, simple, decent life with Fergie, Eugene and Beatrice. Maybe he should go and live with the other Royals.

    The Royal Family stands for more than tradition, history, and stability. The unique contribution to the civilized, and emerging world cannot be overestimated. Why? There will always be those who “rule”. This Constitutional Monarchy is a quiet “light upon the hill”. As long as it holds its moral, and social head high, its value remains. It will be toppled from within, not without. That’s why the pruning of Andrew, and Harry has been crucial. As well as, the overcoming power of commitment in the face of the near disastrous divorce of Charles, and Diana. A careful investigation will lead one to suspect a Providential Hand, in preserving this truly rich national icon, is at the helm.

    Apparently and allegedly Prince Andrew has a 75 year lease. Although CROWN properties are a regulated rent, he still has to pay and substantial amount, along with CERTAIN UPKEEP repairs. So there is obviously a contract of who is responsible for what like any rental agreement - but as a listed building it makes upkeep more expensive, hence the reason to suggest Andrew lives in Frogmore, which has already been substantially renovated! and we all know the logic behind that. And had been gifted a wedding present of Sunningdale but that is obviously long gone & the ''dosh'' associated it with it.

    • @alexandracameron7062
      @alexandracameron7062 Před 22 dny +2

      Sunningdale was on the market at 12 million, it sat for years because it was hideous, someone likened it to the Tesco frontage. Andrew went to the Middle East supposedly on behalf of the British government, however, despite many attempts to find out exactly what he was doing there and who it was he was meeting no one will know as Andrew’s records are sealed until 2064! After that little trip Sunnigdale was purchased for 3 million over the asking price by someone who never went near the place and eventually it was raised to the ground where the land stands vacant! Andrew Lownie and Norman Baker are two of the researchers trying to find out what Andrew was up to for years under the guise of special envoy to the British government! Their books are a real eye opener! If Andrew wasn’t who he is then he would probably be in jail!!! It’s a shame the FBI haven’t managed to serve him despite their many tries!

      Yes, accordingly to our tabloids he paid 250 pounds per month. It was rented to him for 75 years. They wanted him to live in frogment cottage. Andy would never downgrade so low, as a matter of fact, he won't dear live in a cottage like that.

    • @andrearoyd2942
      @andrearoyd2942 Před 22 dny

      @@tweetyslife253 It would be far more that £250 a month! CROWN properties had to align (with in reason) to normal rent rates. But the tenant is responsible in CROWN properties for substantial upkeep of a listed building & its requirements that isn't usually normal. But nevertheless cheaper than if rented commercially. This is why Andrew can't afford the upkeep - because it is his responsibility and not CROWN properties.
