During my quarterly review meeting, my manager called me in and talked about how it was wrong to not pick up my higher up's call. First - it was a Saturday. Doesn't matter how important a work call is - I don't see why I have to pick up on a non-working day. Second - there was only one call and no text. I honestly missed the call and because there was no second call or a message, one would assume that it was not important. The fact that this was even a point of discussion in my review meeting is ridiculous. 1. The biggest problem in most organizations is their HR. In India, HRs are often unprofessional and rude, ignoring questions and opting for other candidates instead of ensuring the best fit. This happens even in top-tier organizations. We've stayed silent, but Gen Z spoke up.
    2. Employees are expected to work over 8 hours without OT pay. We stayed silent, but Gen Z acted.
    3. Salary hikes based on merit are rare, usually only matching inflation (6-10%), while new hires with similar talent who switch jobs get 30% hikes. We stayed silent, but Gen Z acted.
    4. Disrespect from seniors. We stayed silent, but Gen Z acted.
Many a times their demands make sense. However, some quit over trivial issues instead of resolving them through conversation. Few entitled ones are there as well and its a reality we have to live with.

Very interesting topic, which actually tells us a lot about how our civilization is evolving away from Capitalism. I am a Millenial, who teaches GenZ and I love this generation.
Good analysis, but I think a deeper insight could be still drawn. One BIG point you missed to explain why "Rage Applying" is becoming a norm is because Companies do not want to retain their employees. Currently if you survey, a huge chunk of job listing are pseudo postings. These are Jobs listed just to fulfill certain criteria as well as keep a safety net when or if an employee quits their job. i am technically a millennial but i am proud to be labelled as a gen z or gen alpha. Once upon a time i was working in a IT company, there was no AC, only cooler which cool a specific area in office(senior's section). My boss will tell me to work on a project but what i have to do, my other senior will tell me, who often tell my work after 4-5pm. So why do work at office when you can do it at the comfort of your home. You save travel time, when you want to discuss project work with senior and he say "bad may ana" you can go gym that time, you can have better working condition(having AC or cooler at your room aka personal cabin),and no one will judge your working style since no one can see what you are doing. And speaking of senior support, chatgpt can answer question better then most senior. like on day i ask my senior what is Franklin Templeton, and his answer was "It is a domain used by banks and finance sector ", then i asked what is domain, then my senior got angry because as an IT guy i don't know what is domain. Asking same question to google or chatgpt was such a breeze.

They just see money as a way to buy convenience, way to do what they really want to do at this moment because they aren't sure about what's going to happen next. @@aryanthakkar Yes and no. I'm not talking about money management here. It's all about the mentality that gen z wants to represent. They just want the good side of things and they are willing to do anything for it. And it has nothing to do with work. If they want money, they work. If they hate the work and don't have money, they just get the money as much as possible and quit . That's it. No drama. In short, they don't have dignity of labor rather they respect sense of purpose.
They just don't take things seriously other than their personal wellbeing to the point they are even ready to forgo any marital committments if it doesn't help. Gen Z are not spoiled brat tbh. They are at the phase of teething as OP mentioned. Gen Z also don't have trouble earning the money as long as they don't want a commitment even they have to feed their parents because the satisfaction is cheap and easy to obtain in this current generation through social media and there's no need for any age old traditions of family to be followed just for seeking satisfaction.

In India if We Solve Education 📚 Issue
Most of the Problem will disappear
Here Dipression Starts from Early Childhood because of so much Pressure & way of teaching, what to teach & what not to teach
Many child suffere only because of 2 Language from Nursery
Child who doesn't know what to say, when to say, how to say for basic things - food, washroom, pain, feelings, etc
We are pressuring them to learn 2 languages
Because of this child gets irritated & from early age he/she started to hate every word you say - it doesn't matter what is right or wrong they will oppose it
Then they start to hate education
Many Exam's in early childhood is like hell for them
They start thinking why we have born in this world
& you should know when 5 year's old think about life like that - in which direction we are going
Violence against Children in school, tution, home because of Studies
    Government is trying with NEP
    But it will take time to implement - 10 - 20 year's
They removed concept of percentage, division
They reduced exam in foundational stage
Slowly - Slowly it will change by Efforts
If local Leader's MP, MLA, Mayor, Panchayat Head do effort things can change very fast

      Societal Structure is like that
It benefits who is Mascular, Rich, who knows how to use brain, Gang or Group
You can take example of Jungle how animals rule each other but we can't judge them as compared to human
Animal doesn't have that much intelligence, they don't have ability to think for future in most cases
But human's have developed this lakhs of year's ago & slowly slowly it improved
Our bharatiya culture almost vanished pain, suffering in society in shiva's era but after sometime people started to become greedy for power, fame, money then discrimination started on the basis of ability, caste, age, gender, etc
What we are seeing today in our culture is orthodox sytem
Where reason, logic is given second position
First position is taken by rituals, belief
By this they doesn't understand what we are doing, why we are doing, is correct in today's time as many situations have changed
You can see that difference in other guru's & Sadhguru

    1. No respect for elders
    2. No interest in work and always want to hang out and chill
    3. Want direct solution n not bothered about the process to get solution
    4. Want spoon feeding in everything
    5. Want instant results and no patience to achieve something that takes time.

Companies will have no choice but to listen to the gen z's demands because they are the present and the future and they+millennials are 64% of the workforce of our country and even globally their contribution to economy is huge. Their demands matter. I remember recently after COVID great resignation happened in the USA where 1 million people resigned from their jobs because they realised during COVID that work from home increases their efficiency and Many became entrepreneurs. In India too some of the IITians left high paying jobs to start their own company because they want to be masters of their own fate.

Much needed video, currently I'm at my final yr of mech engineering & everyone around me has already decided what they want to do like, job in which field or ms in which field or any other further education, but I on other hand haven't decided yet. that what I really want do cause, I just don't want to do the same thing everyday when I join any company. I mean there should always be something new so, to have fun at work that's what I want so I wanted to escape it by doing something different from others, but now that I think about it, I guess I just need to start somewhere so that I can reach where I really want to reach. The next thing is that we stress too much about things that cause the burn out of your brain or mental health 1st, then it affects your physical health as well. What I observed when I went to my native place after studying for almost 5 yrs is that, their people are so stress free, the life in the village is slow but yet peaceful satisfied & here in cities it's always the same thing the, fast life. Well it's getting difficult to cope up with sometimes. I guess you need a break from all of this, so you can decide what you really wanna do. Well Thank you so much because what you said at the end of the video was a much needed one, building something requires a lot of time, patience, hardwork & luck is important at the same time you must learn the art of not stressing out & don't give up so, again Thank You So Much for making this video ❤.

As A Young Gen Z Who Was Born In 2011 (I'm 13 Now), I Really Look Forward To Entering A Workplace In The Future Where There's Mental Health Days For Everyone, & Where Employers Respect The Work-Life Balance Of Employees On A Global Scale. I Truly Hope Gen Z Wins This Fight Against The Toxic Workforces.

as a part of gen z i find it quite difficult how people percieve work to be, they cant just expect a company for which they have just started to work for to treat them like kings or queens and as for strict behaviour in work, it is quite necessary to be mannered and have etiquettes in an efficient workplace. Whether you like it or not a company's sole agenda is to earn profits and can't expect very high demands for every single employee considering you dont want a pay cutoff. The reason workplace is so different from your comfy home is because its supposed to be, you have to work hard to earn and if you dont you can't progress is the simple motto of life itself. However i do believe that work beyond the decided timeline is un acceptable unless you are getting paid for it separately.
