I did Alpha this year at the vineyard church. Jesus has already saved me in the few months i have been going to church from thoughts of suicide and alcohol. I can see the truth and have been forgiven. I can live life again and I hope one day my story and experience can help others come to God and accept Jesus' love that they so truly deserve! God bless everyone

Nice to remember John Wimber. New Wine 1995, he spoke on Ephesians despite some post treatment needs. A few stars fell in 1997, JW.11/97.

Are you up for a challenge? Read the following passage which Nicky preached on in this HTB at Home video and ask yourself as you read the moment you first know that Zacchaeus has been converted.
    Luke 19:1-10 ESV
He entered Jericho and was passing through. And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich. And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was about to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today." So he hurried and came down and received him joyfully. And when they saw it, they all grumbled, "He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner." And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold." And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost."
It’s clear when Jesus believes salvation has come - straight after Zacchaeus announces a plan to radically reimburse people. His actions show that he is repentant. Jesus also makes it clear that only those who know they are lost (Zacchaeus does) can be saved.
Ok so it’s not rocket science. But it still manages to elude Nicky (because he deliberately lets it do so). He preaches as if salvation for Zacchaeus is the moment Jesus enters his house. The message of his sermon - in which he uses the Zacchaeus story, and Acts 2 when the Holy Spirit fills the disciples as they wait in the upper room of a house, is that God wants to pay each of us a home visit.
He presents the Acts 2 passage without any understanding of its wider context. He speaks as if the disciples are just a bunch of guys who are afraid and God comes to give them peace. Isn’t that beautiful? Never mind the three years (and a hundred odd pages) that come immediately before in which the disciples can’t do anything right if they try. Or that they all have abandoned Jesus. Never mind that their receiving the Spirit marks the end of a period in which they come to the absolute end of themselves - where they are aware of God’s holiness and mercy and are disgusted by their failure. This for Nicky is just your average home visit.
That’s the great lie of modern Christianity - that it’s possible to know God without either reaching the end of yourself and without repentance.

This is a nice video. Sweet really. I've just come round to it... Do you have a personal testimony my brother? Do you have a way to explain going from no belief /faith in God to this platform? I will be praying for you! (hugs)

NG claims an intimate relationship with Jesus and his spirit. I claim that it’s all in his imagination. How do we determine who’s right?

Jesus only comes to any persons home ,heart, when invited, when we believe the Gospel and trust in Christs shed Blood and finished work at Calvary. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4,Romans 5:21-25),.then we receive the Holy Spirit when we believe,Ephesians 1:13,It is only by Gods Grace that we can be saved (Ephesians 2:8-9).
A right division of Gods Word is paramount, (2 Timothy 2:15-16) other wise confusion, false teaching, false teachers, deception, and another spirit will be received!! All of the Bible is for our instruction ,but not all of the Bible is written to us (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Jesus also said "Take heed that no man deceives you",(Matthew 24:4) and he warns us of false teachers and false signs ,(Matthew 24:24). When Jesus walked the earth He told His disciples go only to Israel and not the Gentiles (Matthew 10:5-8) and preach the Kingdom gospel to Israel, which included signs, healing etc, for the Jews seeketh after a sign,(Matthew 12:38,24:3,Mark 13:22,1 Corinthians 1:22), be not deceived .

Mr Gumbel is a false teacher and The Alpha Course, well I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot bargepole... I'm trying to warn people against it on my Facebook account. Lots of evidence that he is a false teacher
