Very well played ! I hesitate between lowD MK Kelpie et celui de Phil Hardy Le V5 chieftain...qu'en pensez vous merci

Thank you! Well I think it really depends on what kind of playing you prefer! Mk-Whistles tend to have a bit more Backpressure than the Chieftain Whistles(or Kerrywhistles in general)
So if you want to do a lot of Ornaments using tounging I think you might be more interested in that one.
However the Chieftain has its own qualities, generally I find the Chieftains a little bit harder to play because they tend to have less backpressure and tounging is harder to get right on them.
But they have this airy Lúnasa Vibe to them and especially fingerstyle ornamentations work beautiful on them.
I don't own a Chieftain though I just played it sometimes when I was trying out Whistles from other players.
I do own a few Whistles of Phil's the Busker series.
And I enjoy them more. They sound, with a bit of practice, more in the Goldie-Whistle direction while still maintaining some of the typical Kerrywhistle sound.

PS: Bear in mind that the Kelpie Series is not Tuneable! While some Whistleplayers claim that because of it being fixed, it sounds better(because they don't have this transition of the Headpiece to the rest of the Flute in them), I don't hear any difference.
However fixed Flutes can and will get in your way when you play together with other "non-tuneable" instruments. Especially when you play together with accordions.(Speaking from experience there) Although they can be tuned(usually not on the fly), you are better off being able to adjust your tuning without having to resort to methods as highering or lowering the pressure you use to play your Flute.

Merci beaucoup pour ces précieux renseignements et pour cette belle analyse! Je pense que je vais me tourner vers MK Kelpie qui devrait mieux me convenir . L'idéal serait d'essayer les deux...hélas pas possible.
