and if your book doesn’t stand out from the crowd you won’t stand a chance.
Fortunately for you, as someone who truly cares about creating quality books that real paying customers are happy to pull out their wallets and pay for, most low-content publishers are falling dreadfully short in this area.
So, if you’re willing to pick up the slack and put that little bit extra into books that stand out from the crowd, you’ll significantly increase your odds of generating sales on all of your low-content books.

Do you have any other tips for helping your low-content books stand out from the crowd? Let me know in the comments below!
I joined related Facebook groups where the potential customers are. That’s where I promote my books. Also be consistent in promotion, it’s a continuous process.
Thanks Marty, that's a great idea! Do you use any other promotional methods as well?
Since I am not a graphic designer, I look through best sellers and choose 5 covers that I think the style would work for my low content book. I use the lay out, font pairings and colors as my inspiration and create my cover. I’m not sure if this works as I am new at this. We will see!
Vanessa, I think this is a great way to get some inspiration for your own LC books! Just be sure to consider your own target audience and ensure your designs are unique.
Great information, need to check out the A+
Hi Rachel,
I'm enjoying your videos.
Like you, I have published fiction novels and other works amd am now getting serious about the low content products, as I am a big user of such as well and have a ton of ideas!
What I want to know, is did you use the same Author name for you LC stuff, come up with another?
And how to choose a color pallet for your brand?
Excellent information. Thank you 🙏🏻
Thanks, Lisa! What tip did you find the most helpful?
I love you so much Rachel
I recently discovered "Cool for School" notebooks by Kimberly Ahri, and her notebook covers made my jaw drop! I went to her website and saw her portfolio--OMG if I could I would buy all her notebooks, JUST for the cover designs!
This, in my mind, is the kind of quality that stands out. My question is, is it possible to "out-do" that level of design skill?
BTW, I would LOVE to know how she does those incredible covers. Insights, anyone?
I searched it. But i find anything with that name on it except for low content books!
After checking out her website it appears that she's used stock imagery for all of her cover designs. This is easy! And it's a great way for someone who's not a professional designer to "fake" it. I recommend choosing imagery from a reputable site like Creative Fabrica. There's a link in the description if you want to check it out!
@@RachelHarrisonSund Thank you so much!
Bring something New to the market. Fresh Ideas, even if just a new spin. Of course there does need to be at least some demand or interest in the product.
Your every video useful. So I like you 💝
Thank you so much 😀
hi thank you for your content .
i have a question here . is it ok if i make multiple design for the same book nich just to find out wich will work well
You're welcome! Yes, it's a great idea to make multiple designs for the same niche in order to experiment with what works. The main thing is to ensure your designs are unique from one another so that you're not spamming the system with many nearly identical books (for example, the exact same book in many different colours.
I was just working on an ICP yesterday! :) I think I have 2-3 different ICP targets.
That's awesome! Are you finding it helpful to spend some time creating an ICA?
@@RachelHarrisonSund we will see, I just started it, and I plan on using it to try to increase my social media numbers. I also feel like I need to narrow my focus; I am all over the place in the things I want to do. Hopefully it will keep me on track. I’m just getting started, but I see exactly what you mean on the ‘flower covered planner’. They are ubiquitous, so I went a different direction with my covers.
How do people write in them? I bought one and cannot write on it.
ماشاء الله تبارك الله عليك تسلم ايدك يا قمر فيديو مميز جدا وقناة رائعة استفدت من حضرتك كتير كتير احسنت النشر بالتوفيق حبيبتي
I’m amazed that all of that says god bless you in English.
My November sales (and lots of other people on Facebook groups, Reddit etc.) are disgusting :) I don't know what happened but HELLO! we're in Q4 :) My worst month so far :( in my 8 months KDP journey.
Hello my friend, can I ask you a question? how much did you spend on Facebook ads? or do you just engage in organic traffic? I'm new to KDP, and would love advice. thank you & Namaste
After 5 years publishing on KDP, I've found that my sales don't normally pick up until December, and then they continue well into March. So don't fret yet.
I could do with some of your advice. I've written and published 76 long novels and had six best sellers but now I feel as if I've fallen off the edge of the world.
6 bestsellers is amazing! Do you have a specific question about LC publishing I can help you answer?
@@RachelHarrisonSund Thank you for replying, Rachel. Honestly, I don't know. I was selling about twenty books a month on Amazon when, without any help from me at all, in 2012 sales rocketed and my six best sellers came from being in the top ten for their genre. For a short time I even outsold, Shakespeare! I sold about 200,000 books. But since then, sales have greatly diminished and again, I have no idea why. Well, perhaps I have. It could be that I write in so many genres that readers might become confused. I can string a sentence together (one gets to be capable after writing millions of words) and after learning the rules, I designed all my covers except two, although I am not a professional artist. So, I really have no idea what is happening. I seem to have transmuted from a tadpole in the sea of Amazon to one of those microscopic organisms drifting without purpose. Age is catching up to me now and all I can think of doing is leaving a decent body of work for when St Peter lets me know it's my time! I wish you well with your own work.
