Real Talk: Things I Regret Buying | Kryz Uy

- To all the girls (and guys) out there looking to invest in designer digs - this video is for you!
I started collecting bags and shoes when I had saved enough money and had a few bucks lying around to play with. I was in my mid-20s and I was hooked! I bought myself a lot of trendy pieces, and was dictated by gut feel - not exactly the smartest way to shop, I know!
Now that I have more responsibilities (and expenses lol) being a new wifey to my hubs, moving into a newly built home, and doing more adult stuff like grocery or plant shopping for the #Skypod lol- I’ve come to terms with handling my finances, setting my priorities straight and being more practical with my purchases.
So I thought I’d help out those of you thinking about splurging on a designer item today. I want you to be able to get the most use and most happiness out of your new purchase!
Instead of sharing which bags I love, I thought it would be useful to give your insight on what I regret buying instead! Hopefully this saves you a buck or two and lets you put your money exactly in the right place (or shoe) enjoy!

"If it hurts, it's not worth it." Applies to so many context. HAHAHAHA
Jeanelle sañga binisita na kita sis :) sana mabisita mo din ako
Ehem gerald at julia ba
Yes, umbrella and water bottle
aray haha
Well then maybe u arent either why
When I'm buying a bag, no matter how much I love and want it, if my foldable umbrella can't fit inside, I won't buy it. 😂😂
Omg same!
Me too
same omg
Same same 😂
Same!!! I thought I was the only one who cares about umbrellas fitting in the bag 😂
"No matter how beautiful it is, if it's painful, it's not worth it." This is the lifelong lesson. Thank you Miss Kryz! I love you talaga ❤️
Love ya! 😘❤
@@kryzzzie omg! So bait 😍
This vid is just another reminder for me to pursue my advocacy of being a minimalist 🤣 slowly starting 💪🏼
Fashion and function must always come together because fashion should be functional. And we should definitely think ten times (or more!) before impulse buying! Thanks for the insights, Kryz! I hope you make a video on classic, timeless pieces we should invest on.
CZcamsr with NO ADS. very appreciated 😘
Muffin Berry she has, but it is in the end of the video
True.. 👍👌
having no ads actually is a bad thing though if ure a youtuber. haha that means no one likes clicking on ur vids. hahaha
Whaaat. Had like three or four ads throughout this video. The most I’ve had while watching her vids
Why is that "appreciated"? You do realize that's how some of us earn money.
"Sometimes you don't listen to your friends, sometimes you listen to your heart." Exactly!
"When it comes to bag, don't be peer pressured there are lot of bags out there in the market that are so so so beautiful and worth your money" this is so true ❤
This is why I like Kryz. She's very humble, kahit rich siya she'll make you realize that she really worked hard for her money. Love you Kryz!
The elephant bag!!! I could still remember how happy you were when you showed that bag on your vlog when you got it. 😂
Yes.... 😀 I guess it was on her fav vid too... She was so excited about elephant.
Romelyn Balagtas nabisita na kita sis ❤️ sana mabisita mo din ako
Omg, yes!!!! She was so happy, wasn’t she? 😂 She even told there that she asked her mom to buy it for her. 😂
Definitely don't go for thats not comfortable. This is so truuuue! Thats why I invested something I always think twice 👍👍👍
You could probably sell them then buy a new designer bag or shoes that you really, really love. 😊
We need a video of your best luxury purchases!!
It goes to show that the things that truly matter are the one money can’t buy: PEACE OF MIND, CONTENTMENT, TIME, MOMENT and LOVE..💕
Thanks for sharing your regrets on this purchase. Turn those mistakes and sell it so you get some of your money back. Sabe nga ni Marie Kondo - if it doesn’t spark joy let it go.
“Sometimes you don’t listen to your friends, sometimes you listen to your heart”
Accurate af 😅
"Somebody wants to steal your shoes?? No no no!!" cues Kryz with a stabbing motion 😂😂😂 Hahahahahahah I am living 😭🤣
But seriously, I'm glad you're getting more and more comfortable vlogging! ♥️
I feel like she’s becoming more relatable now. ❤️ #titasofcebu
“That’s it po” omg sooo cute 🙈❤️ abt the heels my ate told me that heels without a platform is really painful especially when it’s a stiletto with a really high heels.
her apologizing to the items is sending me 😂 super humble and relatable 😍
my jaw dropped when i heard you said that you regret buying the elephant bag!!! hahaha but this video goes to show that we must not succumb to impulsive purchases-- especially when its designer items!! i love this video, and please make a "beauty products that you regret buying" video please! :)
I still remembered the vlog that you got emotional in Chiang Mai because of elephants!! It made me love elephants too because of that vlog 😭❤️
Love how truthful this post is. Realtalk kung realtalk. In life talaga priority muna function and comfort. Close secondary lang ang aesthetics.
Yessss. Every girl should watch this video.
Thank you for being so so so honest. ❤️
What I've realized after watching this video is that no matter how pretty and extravagant those things are if it is painful it is not worth it 💓 . Thanks for this vid ms. Kryz 😍
I have a worst case of impulse buying and watching this vid reminded me on why it is important to think several times first before buying a certain item especially if the cost doesn’t justify its functionality. But of course you can treat yourself and give yourself some lovin’ every once in a while. ☺️ Anyway, congrats again on your 10years in the industry!! Much love ❤️
I totally agree with you Kryz.. But one thing is, you've got to enjoy the things you worked hard for years. You got this freedom to splurge your money because you worked hard for it and you deserve it. In the long way run, you realized that some of them were not worth buying for which is okay. Those were some lessons you've learned. And I always believe, that's the most important part of our lives. And now, you knew better especially your starting
your family. You became wiser now. You really did a great job! Yasss!
Kaya dapat if you want something dapat your heart and your mind daw po is same ng sinasabi sa iyo..

So wow thank you for those advice so helpful ❤❤❤
So the elephant bag is almost 73 thousand pesos 😂 man! Daz expensive!
THANK YOU FOR BEING AN INSPIRATION TO ME KRYZ!! BECAUSE OF YOUR VLOGS AND IG STORIES/POSTS, YOU MADE ME SEE THINGS AND MADE ME GET UP AGAIN. I ONLY STARTED WATCHING YOU DECEMBER 2018 BUT DAMN GIRL, YOU ROCK!

Ate Kryz's old vlogs are appearing on my waych suggestions. Huhuhu, from tita to a great mom. 🤎💕
This is the most practical vlog I've watched ever.💕 Thanks to you Ms. Kryz. Such an inspiration when it comes to practicality. I love you forever. More practical vlogs please.💕😍
Yayy! I'm glad you're enjoying this video! 💖😘
When rich people say it is pricey, well, it really is pricey!
Learning with this video is always think many times before buying expensive items. And always do that. 👍👍👍
"Sometimes you don't listen to your friends, sometimes listen to your heart." Hehe
Thank you for being this honest!!!
I feel like other women force each other to buy this and that because it’s “uso” or looks sexy and nice but truthfully it’s hurts like hell... so kudos to you for being true!! Thanks gurl!
Thank you for the tips, ate Kryz ☺️ Not that I can afford these designer bags and shoes hahaha pero applicable naman sa lahat 😉
Krizzyyy can you do a content of what’s in my bag? And favorite cosmetics that can easily be found online or CEBU! 😆
I admire the humility in admitting that you also have regrets in buying stuffs like that Kryzz.. From what i saw from other vloggers, i always thought that buying designer stuffs are always an investment..that kept me motivated to dream of buying too someday.. but you completely turned the table for me.. you made me realized that not everything expensive is worth the investment.. Thanks for this vid...really really love you jud ayy.. 😘😘
Thanks for sharing your realization on your previous designer splurges, for me bottomline, is buy what is practical and useful, what you really love most, and consider always the comfort.☺
Sometimes we have to be concious of our wants and needs 😄 relate po ako 🙋
Yas gurl! 👏❤
“If it hurts then it’s not worth it” SO TRUE! Love your vlogs so much! ❤️
It’s kinda good tho that these items are considerably less than others. I like how you mentioned that you usually think about your purchases before getting them.
I have purchases that I regret as well.. but looking at the brighter side, I learned from it 😊 Love this video Kryz! I don’t normally follow bloggers/vloggers, but you are one of the most authentic ones ❤️

This video really helped me realize that saving money should be the priority instead of buying things I thought I need but actually didnt. I can relate when you felt pressured to buy something esp when you think it would look good on instagram photos. Thank you Kryz for posting this video. I’m a fresh graduate and just had work so you know what it’s like when you receive your very first own money. You love to buy everything hahahahaha🤣🤣😍😭😭😭
My super duper favorite blogger/youtuber of all tiiiime!! It's just that there's always something you can learn everytime you watch her videos. Love you ate kryz!!
I like Kryz' videos very much, coz she doesn't only show u the good stuff but that she also shows the supposedly embarrassing stuff like this.. purchase regrets.. and for someone to be able to do that and still manage to appear charming in the video, it makes them down-to-earth, humble, relatable.. and i think it's a good thing esp when you've become popular.
you might think it'd ruin ur image to post videos like this but hey, she did it with humility + the charm and people love her all the more for it 😊
i love this video. even tho kryz is a rich woman, meron pa rin pala syang nireregret haha sa mga binibili nya i urge you to sell them na lang kryz. maybe it will work for others :)
"Never rush on buying things" that hit me so hard
"sometimes you dont listen to your friends, sometimes you listen to your heart" 😅😅
The money spent on the elephant bag can already be invested to VUL insurance for 2 people (middle income earner). That's very expensive for a very small bag. Oh Krizzy, i feel you.
Though we regretted buying stuffs the most important is that we were happy when we have them and learn to realize someday that we know what we want and what we need..adulting is real..your video is an eye opener..thank you Kryz..😍
Real, humble and no pretensions. 💯💯💯 You're really amazing, Kryzzzie! ❤❤❤
One of my fave regret videos! Ever!
Thank you, ate Kryz for speaking up because I always thought that since they are designer stuff, they would always be comfy and functional. I definitely learned something! :)
Dibaaaa? I never thought na mag-regret pud diay ka sa imong gipamalit, Kryz. So honest 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
it's ok to regret for not buying practical reasons as long as you've learned from it.. mistakes lead to success 💗💕
Thanks for some tips ate Kyrz🧡. I learned that u must think twice before purchasing anything and be mindful if it will be helpful in the long run. Also, don't buy things that isn't even comfortable cause its useless tho. This is very helpful for me rn😁✨
I love how real you are!! Even your rich you still regret buying expensive things 👏🏼
Yassss! Before ta mamalit kailangan jud huna huna'on if kailangan ba jud or not ⚠️
I really admire you for being honest. Regrets always followed by learnings.
Your honesty is admirable. It's not easy to admit that you regret buying stuffs that you think is worth it. But there are lessons learned, that's what matters. 😉
Di jud ko mag regret na ning subscribe and mag sige og lantaw sa imung videos😍 Daghan jud learnings from you
No ADS 😍😍😍😍
Simplicity and comfy aboves all
This is why I admire you the most Kryz! I can't wait for more Tita videos from you. ❤️
"if it hurts, its not worth it' added it on my notes !! heheh smart buying is really important !! thanks so much mrs. kryz it would really apply to my teenager self and also aproaching to my 20's ! because its so hard to earn money soo save up and buy the things that you would have benefit and that bring joy into your life !
Use the Elephant and Chanel bags! They are both lovely!
i love that this video has no ADS in between. Appreciated this cause ads are annoying! agree yes when you are already a tita, you tend to bring a lot in your bag. hahaha discount cards are a must!!! 😂
That Loewe elephant bag is around Php 72k! Crazy price for such a small bag. But can’t deny its cuteness 😆
Skinny Hard grabe haha
your honesty about the things are so inspirational! even i cannot admit na waste of money ang number of notebooks and pens na ako na buy impulsively!
Next vid: skincare i regret buying
Reality Bites. Lesson learned: Always go for comfort.
I can relate to this video..haha😂😂😂 I"m always buying things because their cute..
“It hurts if its not worth it” hahahaha trueee!! 🥰 fave vlogger since 2013 ❤️
You can go somewhere and shorten the chain on the Chanel bag, it's not too hard or expensive to do :)
Elephant bag 💙💙💙 Still remember how happy you are with that... knowing that you love elephants sooo much! Soooo much love for you 💙💙💙
"If it hurts, it's not worth it." life lesson jud ni. Gotta learn to spend on things more valuable. Salamat sa inspiration and insight Ate Kryz! 😍😍😍
I love these realization videos! And I totally agree about not necessarily “peer pressure” because sometimes it doesn’t come from your peer, just watch CZcams 😂😂😂. I got sucked in to buying LV, Gucci and Prada bags just by watching CZcams videos. I don’t even wear half of them because I mostly stay at home since my work is at home. I work for corporate America but uses my home as my office and most of the time I’m in my pajamas or very casual clothes because nobody sees me. And my bags are all in the closet. Anyhow keep up these types of videos it might rescue someone out there being suckered in to making the wrong decisions 😉. BTW Hello from California 💗💗👏
Galing ako sa new video and I'm happy to learn more tips!!! Very familiar yung designer bags esp yung elephant bag! Thank you for the tips, Ms. Kryz!!! ❤❤❤
It's good to be reminded about these things from time to time. Very very helpful. :)
Hi Kryz! I think you may mention the price range of those pieces (if you could still remember how much you paid for it) to make it more helpful and informative. It won’t sound bragging i guess because most of the collectors of designers that are in youtube are now in the era of exposing prices to people. 😊
I remember that vlog with the elephant bag. I love how the videos ends with lessons ♡ Keep 'em coming.
“Somebody wanna steal my bag? No no no” PAK! My favorite line in this video 😂

So agree esp with shoes! When you like the design but it doesn't come in your size, neverrrr settle for one size bigger or one size smaller! I always think, "if it's meant to be, it will be." If not, move on nalang tayo 😊👌🏼
Truelalo, ms. Kryz. Thank you for the advice. Would definitely think twice before buying on an impulse.
You never fail to give some of the best pieces of advice! ❤️
you know its mahal when them people say its mahal haha
“If it hurts, it’s not worth it” superrrrr relateeeeeee😂💕💓
I am also like Kryzzie if things won't fit in fashion and function, I won't buy it anyway. Leather backpacks and sneakers are the best.
Thaaanks for sharing this!! Im one hell of a guilty money spender haha! Lesson learned! Its true thooo, not all good looking and expensive stuff gives the worthy comfort huhu
I sometimes think twice when buying luxurious items such as bags and shoes...like I always consider the things that I can buy with the money.I don't even have a branded bag and shoes. My only prized possession is my Nike Shoes which I bought with my own money. Its not really bad buying something for yourself once in a while.hahaha.
This weekend's #TheTrio vlogs are complete. :) thank you for this ms. Kryz! 😊
I think it’s a shift in priorities because the same happened to me! I started regretting purchases from before because now I only like shopping in the home section or grocery!
I remember that Elephant bag!! There are things and decisions in life that you’ll regret eventually but that’s life. Kryzzzie girl is now officially a tita!! Adulting na talaga at its finest 💛💛💛💛
I love the honesty, Ms Kryz. #realtalk. Keep it that way ❤️
You're so funny here Kryz. And incredibly honest. Love it. ❤✨👏
