Finally someone who listens to the audience with the time stamps. Some people, including me, don’t like the endless waffling so time stamps are great for that
As a Chelsea fan, I really think people misunderstand the Chelsea v City final.
Pep’s strategy of not playing a DM was really needed, as Chelsea’s greatest strength was their compact defense, one that let in only 2 goals in the knockout stages to Madrid and a wonder goal bicycle kick from Porto.
If you watched the attacks City had in the first 30 minutes, they were incredibly close to scoring multiple times because of their flexibility in midfield without a DM, and only failed to score because of last ditch hero tackles from Rudi and Azpi and others. If they had scored, the game would have been completely over.
Everyone seems to disregard the fact Chelsea totally dominated City and claim they won because Rodri didn’t play. We're talking about a team that beat the Spanish champions, English champions, the UCL kings and conceded only 4 goals throughout the entirety of the competition.
