This week on DIY Designer, we are making an EPIC no-sew gown that anyone can do, no matter your skillset. First, you need some fabric that is a statement in itself and that has the width to cover your entire body. Then you must cut it into four equal pieces. Once these are ready to go, tie them at the shoulder and make them into bows. Then all you have left to do is to wrap it and belt it. Make sure to tuck everything in so it looks nice and in its place. The rest is up to you and your skillset to how you want to personalize it. This DIY gown is that simple! You will not only dazzle everyone with the flow of the dress and its sequins, but you will also have your own statement piece perfect for a special occasion or a night out on the town.

The thing that’s amazing about these types of sequin fabrics is that they’re about 30 bucks a yard which is less then you would spend on a formal/semi-formal dress!!! So no-sew plus less money is a win win!!! Amazing job as always!!!

Wow! What an amazing idea and it's so simple! I wonder when I see some of your gorgeous clothes that you make, how it would look on a woman who isn't as perfectly built as you. This is such a stunning and easy tutorial!!! I am a maternity photographer and I would love to see some tutorials for some cool tutorials on diy fashion for studio maternity shoots!!! Like dramatic robes or crazy cool accessories like puffy arm pieces or cool high fashion looks that could work on pregnant bodies!!! I would make them in a heartbeat for all my client shoots!!

This is so affordable. Anyone can do it. No need to go shopping and getting an expensive dress. They fabric is costly, yes but much cheaper than a dress Just fabric and done. Love it.

Ooh my what an amazing diy for this Friday. You explained very well and also make it look very easy. I am sucker for sequins, lurex and metallic fabrics so this is so good one for me. Could you please share the tulle/mesh skirt brand? I can see styling that dress with a turtleneck mesh/sheer top underneath. You looked so nice in that wedding party.

I think you should make another sequence dress with all different pink colors for your event.
I really like the second one a lot, but they both turned out amazingly well. I now understand why Luke from HauteLemode gets so salty with couture brands that turn out simple looks like these and charge five figures for them....
I see where you're coming from but you have to admit a Couture Brand dress will have impeccable craftsmanship that a no sew dress can't really compete with.
Yea I think there's absolutely value in that level of quality work. You're not only paying for the BEST quality materials, the creativity of the designers but also for the handwork of an incredibly skilled dress maker... who all deserve to be paid for their talent. But for those of us that cant afford that... we can get creative :)
