  • “The situation she inherited from Boris was less than good in the same way that the situation Sunak has inherited from Liz and Boris is pretty dire.”
Liz Truss made “some terrible miscalculations” during her time as prime minister and the political situation Rishi Sunak inherited was “appallingly bad,” Adam Jones, former number 10 director of political communications under Liz Truss, tells Andrew Neil.

It's ideology we have it now with Sunak, the economy doesn't need tax cuts to stimulate it it needs investment and a lot of it
It's like his BS on net zero costing UK households it doesn't it is payed for mostly by increasing debt yet what did he do instead put 20 billion onto debt with his NI cut and that was the worst of all taxes to cut it boosted middle class incomes. If you want to stimulate the economy with government money then pay public sector workers more or raise the 20% threshold or improve benefits at the bottom.

5:17 "was there no grown ups at 10 Downing Street to say 'don't do that"? As a Canadian watching from outside the most covered Liz Truss story prior to the death of the Queen was "Liz Truss' new cabinet has no white men in the top 5 posts". This story was covered with glee by the feminist Canadian Broadcast Corp. but rarely mentioned after Truss imploded. So that should answer the question about where were the grown ups.
