Overall, we recommend visiting this resort with family, couples, or with friends. This is a smaller hotel, and this means more attention to the smaller details. The hotel was recently updated and fitting for a modern stay a bit further from the busy main street with views of the Ala Wai Canal.

@@wanderlusttravelstudios Agreed. It's not just aesthetically pleasing but it gives a cozy relaxing feeling (at least from your video that I saw 😄). Was it true that the walls between rooms are thin so you can hear sounds/voices from nextdoor room? (I read some reviews about it online).
@@dewirokhmawati5969 we were lucky because we chose the corner room and didn't hear much from other occupants. You can hear others in the hallways, but it depends on which room type you choose. We loved the corner suite

I stayed there when it was the Waikiki Sand Villa. No resort fee and a free continental breakfast.
Another Waikiki hotel given a lick of paint with prices increased.
Not many deals left in Waikiki now.

Interesting! It is still quite reasonably priced compared to many of the Waikiki hotels and has been beautifully renovated. I wonder if there are any free continental breakfasts available on O'ahu at this point? Thank you for your comment!
@@wanderlusttravelstudios Yes, Embassy Suites on Lewers st. has a huge breakfast. They used to not have a resort fee too, but after Covid, it looks like they do now.
I guess the hotels are trying to recoup all the money they lost from that time period.
The only thing about resort fees is that once a place has them, they never go away.
@theflatulentfreddy1 So many hotels were in a bad situation following covid. Would you recommend us to do a review of the Embassy Suites? We love them on the mainland, but haven't stayed at the O'ahu one yet.

I'm staying there for a few days coming up this week. Super excited any recommendations and dos and donts for food
Fantastic! It's a great spot! Waikiki is loaded with good options... too many to list. If you do not have a car, you'll be fine in Waikiki... there's a couple of ramen and fish market spots that always have a line. It all depends on budget and what type of food you're looking for when it comes to recommendations. Pricing in the city can be expensive, so plan accordingly! (Sorry, it's such a broad answer- but feel free to email us with more info if you like).
How was the smell?
We didn't smell anything foul in the room or around the hotel. 🤙
